What a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when community comes together.

Through collaboration, joy, and shared purpose, we celebrated love, visibility, and the power of showing up for one another.

As a community, we often find ourselves living between what has been promised and what has yet to unfold.

Last week, we gathered in the Flame to recognize and celebrate the gifts God has placed within us.

This Sunday, we continue the journey as we meet Between the Promise and the Feast, honoring the distance we have traveled, reflecting on the growth we have experienced, and embracing the hope of what is still to come.

This service is an invitation to show up fully, to celebrate, to express yourself, and to bring your gifts into community. You are seen. You are known. You are welcome.

Sometimes you miss the bus… not because you failed, but because life wanted you to walk and see something beautiful along the way.

Not every delay is a denial. Some are protection. Some are redirection.

In the journey we share through Cosmopolitan Affirming Community, we are learning that slowing down can be sacred.

What feels like a pause might actually be preparation for something better.

So don’t panic when life doesn’t go your way. Breathe. Trust. Keep moving. The detour might be the most meaningful part of your story.

Happy PRIDE Family, Asubuhi Njema Kwenu,

This Sunday, we gather for Chat & Chew: a community conversation on identity, belonging, courage.

Our Conversation takes us back to the Scriptures, The Day of Pentecost. A day some consider the Birth of Christian Church.

That Day the miracle was not that everyone became the same.
The miracle was that each person heard the good news in their own language.

We know this. Yet we Q***r folk spend years hiding parts of ourselves _our gifts, our voices, our stories, our courage_ because we were taught they were too much, too different, or not enough.

In our conversation today, we look at:

“The gifts we learned to suppress
The very gifts the Spirit is calling forth?”

Come ready to reflect.
Come ready to listen.
Come ready to speak.

Because the Spirit still moves wherever people dare to show up as their full selves.

In a world that often demands conformity, authenticity becomes a radical act of self-love and resilience.

This Pride Month, we honor the courage of those who continue to show up as their full selves and the communities that make belonging possible.

Cosmopolitan Affirming Community was deeply honored to be represented by Rev. Caroline at the AATEEA Maputo Meeting on Barriers, Ecclesiological Reflections, and Strategic Directions for Inclusive Theology in Africa, a powerful gathering that held space for honest reflection on inclusion, exclusion, and transformation within African faith traditions.

The conversations brought together voices from across the continent to name the systems that continue to exclude Minority persons while also lifting up emerging movements of inclusive theology, grassroots leadership, and faith rooted in lived experience.

It was a moment of collective insight, hope, and renewed commitment to building African theologies that are just, participatory, and life-affirming for all.

_Q***r, Faithful & Right On Time_

Happy PRIDE Family,

A reaffirmation as we go about shining brighter this PRIDE,

You didn’t arrive here by accident.

The ancient texts hold this across traditions: through stories of people called to carry their full selves into moments that felt impossible. Told that silence was safer. That being seen was the greater risk. That hiding was a kind of faithfulness.

Some of them stepped forward anyway. Not because the cost disappeared. Because the moment had come.

This Sunday, we gather for the ones who are q***r and faithful and exactly where they are supposed to be. For the ones told their existence is a contradiction, who have always known, somewhere, that it is not.

Come as you are. Every part of you belongs here.
