Our much awaited grand day that will usher the beginning of everyone’s scared journey of “Shrimad Bhagwat Saptah Gyan Yagna” is finally here.

The day when we all get together in our “Brilliance and Beauty”….
in our “Magnificence and Splendour”
to take our steps towards a scared journey… The *Shobha Yatra*

As you will have read above, we are all so very excited to remind you of the Shobha Yatra so that you can understand that the Yatra will not have the beauty – Shobha - that it should without your presence.

We can try to put as much décor as possible or whatever else we can think of…but…without you all our efforts will prove futile as we will not have you with us.

We urge everyone to please arrive at 2pm at Ajay Apartments. You may park your cars at the Gymkhana, Hockey Field, entrance is from the main Gymkhana gate.

We want to take this opportunity to firstly thank all the MukHya and Sahayak Manorathis’ who attended the meeting on Sunday, 23rd February at LMM.

Those who could not make it for the meeting, may wish to speak to Chhotubhai Dasani or Minal Sedani, see contact details below.

You would then be able to get all the relevant guidelines for Shobha Yatra and the puja during the Shrimad Bhagwat Saptah Gyan Yagna from the LMM office.

Further please note that all Manorathis’ are required to be at Ajay Apartments, next to LMM Desai Road, at 2.00pm as you will be required to perform a short puja before we begin Shobha Yatra.

~*Update 12*~ ||BUSINESS CENTRE ||

We are pleased to inform you that we have set-up a “Business Centre” at LMM. The centre is equipped with a PC/Printer/Scanner/Copier and WIFI.

The reason we set this up is that anyone coming from upcountry and/or overseas can catch up with their work and keep family and friends informed through email. See details below regards location/timings/dates.

Location: Admin Block, next to admin office

Timings: Monday to Friday: 1pm to 3pm, 7.30pm to 9pm, Saturdays: 9am to 3pm

Dates: 2nd to 8th March 2014

~*Update 11*~ || KIDS CLUB ||

As we encourage all to not miss this Golden Opportunity to be part of the Bhagwat Saptah and especially mothers who are keen to listen to the discourses but are hesitant due to having young children and cannot leave them alone at home, therefore...

We have organized a kids club open for 3 year old children to 13 year old (see poster attached)!! And you are not required to pay anything!! The club will be open daily during the katha days, see venue/time/days below. The club will be supervised by two lady attendants and one male (you may send in your child’s nanny along as well) as well as community members. There will be the following activities your child can choose from:

* Playstation section - there will be playstation 2 set-up with football and car games

* Dvd/video section - there will be cartoon dvd’s to watch

* Coloring section – here we shall have ready color pencils and pre-printed sketches to color, children will have tables and chairs to sit and be comfortable while coloring and being creative!

* Ball pond – kids can have fun with all the playful and colorful balls

* Face-painting section – all children can get their faces painted here, washable water-based paints

* Token machine - the machine will be free of charge you will not be required to pay anything for it



Venue: Madhwani Hall (upstairs)

Timing: 3.30pm to 7.30pm

Days: Sunday, 2nd March to Saturday, 8th March 2014

In addition, we shall also have available light snacks for your child; juices/water, crisps, popcorn and biscuits.

Mothers, we request you to please register the name of your child.

The Bhagwat Saptah will be taking place in the main-hall (down-stairs) we advise that you take up a place near the door so that you may occasionally go up to check up on your child, if you so wish.

~*Update 10*~ || SECURITY UPDATE ||

The “Security Committee” of Shree Lohana Mahajan Mandal is working tirelessly to ensure that all devotees who will come to attend “Shrimad Bhagwat Gyan Yagna” and “Shree Purushottam Sahastranam Gyan Yagna” will get secured environment during the sacred event.

The security committee has prepared following instructions for all devotees to kindly follow:

1) Entry Route:

a) All devotees coming from Spring Valley, Westlands, Parklands, Gigiri Area can use Forest Road-Pangani U Turn-Service Road Straight to Left Turn of Nairobi Gymkhana-Desai Road (see road map attached)

b) All devotees coming from South B, C, Ngara Area has above option to come through Forest Road or for South B & C can come through Uhuru Highway-Globe Round About-Muranga Road then turn left on to Desai Road.

2) Exit Route:

a) All devotees going back to Spring Valley Westlands, Nagar, Parklands,Gigiri Area can use Desai Road-Muranga Road-Kipipiri Road-Forest Road or slip road (see road map attached)

b) All devotees going back to South B, C Area can use Desai Road-Muranga Road-Kipipiri Road-Forest Road-Museum Hill-Uhuru Highway


3) Parking:

Due to limited parking area within LMM facilities, parking has been reserved for all devotees at the Gymkhana, Hockey field, Entry through Main Gate of Nairobi Gymkhana.

Only Car Pass Holders (Sticker should be visible on the Front Wind Screen) will have access to the parking in side LMM.

4) Shuttle Service:

a) There will be two mini buses parked at Nairobi Gymkhana Parking Area for Shuttle Service from NGK to Ajay Apartments.

b) All drops off & pick ups for Shuttle Service & Transport will be from Ajay Apartments only.

c) All devotees are requested to use shuttle service after parking their car at Nairobi Gymkhana – Hockey field. This is for our own safety to avoid mugging.


5) Shree Lohana Mahajan Mandal has acquired following Emergency Mobile Nos:

(Above numbers will be in use from 03:00pm to 10:00pm)

Above numbers are always with Security Duty Officer during the day in case of Security Emergency and they will provide best possible means of security.

6) Inquiry Desk (Lost & Found):

There will be an inquiry desk to assist devotees incase of anything lost or found. It is also advised to take care of your children and personal belongings at all times. For children there will be a play area arranged, a separate email regards this will be sent shortly.

The security committee has tried their BEST to provide enough security measures to safeguard all devotees who will come to attend Shrimad Bhagwat Saptah from 2nd March to 8th March 2014 and Shree Purushottam Maha Yagna on 9th March 2014. However, a Big Humble Request to Co-Operate with Security Volunteers and Security Guards to have incident free days through the katha.

Samagri for Annakut day which is on Thursday, 6th March 2014.

Please make note as indicated below....

· All Samagri should be received at LMM by 9am on Thursday, 6th March 2014

· Samagri should contain 16 dry pieces of whatever you wish to bring

· Samagri should be in a STAINLESS STEEL container, the container should be clearly labeled with your name on it

· The stainless steel container should be wrapped with a silk cloth
