Transformation takes consistency. That's why we return every month to the prisons.

To the women inmates at Kisii women prison , these fellowship visits have become a reminder that they are still seen, valued, and worthy of hope. What begins as a visit often grows into trust, encouragement, renewed faith, and the courage to believe in a better future.

Today, alongside sharing God's love, we distributed porridge flour for their children, panties, soap, sanitary towels, and cooking oil. These items meet immediate needs, but their deeper impact is restoring dignity and reminding these women that they have not been forgotten.

Through every visit, prayer, conversation, and act of kindness, we are witnessing hope take root where despair once lived.

**Meet Sella Awour – Bringing Hope and Compassion to Widows**

Staff Spotlight✨

For the past one and a half years, Sella Awour has faithfully served as a widow caregiver at Manna Ministries, dedicating her time and energy to improving the welfare of widows in our community.

Sella joined the program because she was deeply touched by the pain, struggles, and challenges that many widows face every day. Seeing their hardships inspired her to become part of the solution and offer practical support, encouragement, and companionship to women who often carry heavy burdens alone.

Today, Sella spends her days visiting widows in their homes, helping with household chores, offering companionship, and leading Bible study sessions. Through these visits, she not only provides support but also builds meaningful relationships with the women she serves.

*"We receive so much wisdom from our widows,"* Sella says. *"They have experienced so much in life, and there is always something valuable to learn from them."*

One of the greatest joys of her work is seeing a widow's spirit lifted.

"I go home fulfilled when I leave a widow smiling after finding her discouraged or lonely. Many of them go through so much. Being able to bring them joy and encouragement is a great blessing."

Through daily home visits, practical assistance, prayer, and fellowship, Manna's widow caregivers help ensure that widows feel loved, valued, and remembered. These moments of care and connection help ease loneliness and restore hope.

Tyson* comes to school every day hoping to find a meal. That's his biggest motivation.

Some days, he arrives without even having had a shower because of the environment he comes from. His mother, a single parent struggling with addiction, is often unable to give him the care and attention he needs. Thankfully, his teachers have stepped in, ensuring he at least gets something to eat at school, because hunger at home has become a normal part of life for him.

But hunger should never be normal for a child.

That's why we partnered with No Hungry Children —to help ensure that no child has to learn on an empty stomach. This month, schools in the slums have received food supplies that will help sustain hundreds of learners. For many children, these meals are more than food; they are a lifeline.

Even when there is little or nothing waiting for them at home, they can come to school knowing there will be something in their bellies.

This is why we do what we do.

A child sleeping peacefully through the night. A clean, comfortable bed. A room free from bedbugs. Less congestion. A home equipped with the essentials needed for daily life.

What was once a challenge is now a space that offers greater comfort, dignity, and hope. These improvements may seem ordinary, but for the children of Faith Israel Children's Home, they make a world of difference.

By next month, the food shelves will be empty again. The rice, flour, cooking oil and other supplies will have been shared into plates, packed into lunchboxes, and turned into meals that keep these children healthy and growing.

That's why we keep showing up.

Today was another monthly food delivery to Africa Living Word Children home. Not because it's a special day, but because hunger doesn't wait for special occasions.

Each plate of food served and washed clothed reminds the kids that someone remembers them and they are not alone.

They didn't just wait for help—they joined in.

As we removed old bedding and carried in new mattresses, the children were right there with us. They also helped prepare meals, and eagerly took part in every activity. They didn't just want to receive the change; they wanted to be part of it.

During our visit to Faith Israel Children's Home, we delivered additional beds, mattresses, and bedding to help ease congestion and give the children a more comfortable place to sleep. The dormitories were also fumigated to get rid of the bedbugs that had been causing discomfort for the children.

The home also received much-needed utensils and basins to support their daily needs.

Watching the excitement on the children's faces reminded us that dignity is often found in the simple things—a clean bed, a safe sleeping space, and knowing that someone cares.
