In Genesis chapter 27 Jacob tricked his father into blessing him instead of Esau. Later, when Esau came with his stew, he found that Isaac had already given away the blessing to Jacob. So both Isaac and Esau cried, feeling betrayed and tricked by Jacob.

But here is the interesting thing. In Chapter 28. Isaac calls Jacob and blesses him again. In fact, this time he gives him a more profound blessing. You would think that after realizing that Jacob had tricked him, he would revoke the blessing and curse him. But no, he blesses him even more.

Why? Part of Isaac's blessing to Jacob in chapter 27 said, "whoever curses you will be cursed and whoever blesses you will be blessed." So, Isaac understood that Jacob was now a blessed man and he needed to align himself with the blessed of the Lord.

Ephesians says that we are blessed by God the Father. No curse can stand in the life of a believer. The blessing on your life is way stronger than any curse!

May you sleep well in 2024 rest assured that no curse risen against you shall prosper. You are blessed!

Introducing Christopher and Joan Mwangovya. They will be speaking at the Word and Worship Conference 2023!!

Christopher and Joan are currently the DOVE Nairobi Youth Pastors.
They first met in India in 2015 as part of a student fellowship called Victory Fellowship International and the two were good friends since then as none of them had an idea what God was about to do in their lives. They reconnected in 2021 and a beautiful relationship started and they got married in 2022. Their journey to marriage had its own ups and downs, but that's a story for another day.

Christopher and Joan are really good opposites, so I guess it's safe to say opposites definitely attract!.. They complement each other in their areas of leadership and bring a great flavour to the Body of Christ.

Christopher is passionate and really driven towards building disciples in the Kingdom. He loves to encourage and empower gifted young people for the Kingdom so that they can be impactful in this day and age. He decided to answer the call of God in 2014 in a very interesting way while visiting a friend. You need to sit down with him to hear about that amazing encounter with the Lord.

While in India he worked with Simon Ruwa as he planted a church and has served under him ever since. Since 2019 he has also been serving Simon Ruwa when he started a Fellowship in Kenya called LoveWise, a group of enthusiastic young people from different walks of life, teaching them how to live the Christian life through a balance of Love and Wisdom.

Christopher and Joan enjoy serving together, exploring new places and having good food!!
