JESUS THE CHIEF EVANGELIST.

Evangelism from the outset was the plan of Christ. He told his disciples to go into all the world, teach, instruct and cause men to understand the good news of eternal life. Salvation and soul winning were never just an added element to the Christian life; it was the whole purpose for which Jesus came and died, and is the purpose for which the disciples laid down their lives in martyrdom. Soul winning was not absent from the early church and neither has it been absent throughout the ages. But I have experienced and am absolutely convinced that only spirit filled men can be soul winners or have the desire to be so.

WORD FOR TODAY

Is It Your Time?

Esther 4:14, NLT
“Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”

God is looking for some Esthers today. She was a Jewish orphan living in exile in Persia whom God raised up out of obscurity to become the queen. When a decree was made that on a certain date all the Israelites were to be annihilated, Esther, against court protocol, went into the king’s chamber unannounced. That was forbidden, and unless she was granted the king’s favor, she could be put to death. Her attitude was: “I’ve been raised up for such a time as this, and I cannot shrink back in fear. If I perish, I perish.” Because Esther stepped into the unknown by faith, the king changed the decree and the Israelites were saved.

Perhaps you’re facing a problem with huge consequences. You’ll be tempted to shrink back, let fear and intimidation convince you to play it safe. But God wants to show Himself strong through your life. You are where you are for just such a time as this. God will do what only He can do when you activate your faith and step forward. Arise and take the first step.

Prayer For Today :
“Father, thank You for all You have done in my life and for every opportunity to step forward by faith and make a difference in the lives of others. Help me to be more aware of the people and needs around me and to be bold to use my gifts and talents to help others. Show Yourself strong through me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Through the Dark Valley

Today’s Scripture :
Psalm 23:4, ESV
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Today’s Word :
Some days feel very dark and can be frightening. News reports of accidents, violent crimes, wars, viruses, and inflation shake us to the core and strike fear and uncertainty. There are enemy forces that would love for us to shrink back and change—from peaceful to panic, from trusting to troubled, from knowing that God is on the throne to fearing what lies ahead.
As David said, we all will face some dark valleys, some shadowy days when someone does us wrong and walks away, or a medical report is not good, or a child goes off course. But when fear knocks, you have to answer with faith as he did. David dared to declare, “When darkness comes, I will not give in to a spirit of fear and let it change who I am. I’m walking through this valley and not stopping here.” He refused to get stuck in anxiety and stress, letting negative images play in his mind, rehearsing disappointments, hurts, and heartaches. Those images may come, but you can’t let them keep playing. You have to switch over into faith.

Prayer For Today :
“Father, thank You that when I walk through dark valleys and adversities, You walk with me, and I have no reason to be afraid or worried. Thank You that You are my Good Shepherd and I can answer any fear with faith. I declare that I am walking through the valley and not stopping here. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

WORD FOR TODAY

In the Middle of a Miracle

James 1:3, NLT
For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.

When we think of miracles, we think of when God suddenly turns things around. Jesus touched the blind man, and his eyes were opened. Moses held up his staff, and the Red Sea parted. But not all miracles are instantaneous. Sometimes we’re praying and believing, but our health isn’t improving or our dream isn’t coming to pass. You may think, “God, why aren’t You doing something?” You don’t realize that God is sustaining you, pushing back forces of darkness, keeping you from getting discouraged and giving up. You’re in the middle of a miracle, but you can’t always see it. It’s the miracle of endurance. One day you’ll look back and think, “How did I make it through that season when I didn’t think I had the strength to go on?” God didn’t deliver you from it, but He gave you the grace to go through it. Without His hand of protection, favor, and blessing, you wouldn’t be where you are. We love instantaneous miracles, but it’s no less of a miracle when God takes you through what should have taken you out.

Prayer For Today :
“Father, thank You that no matter what the circumstances are around me, I can be still and know that You are God right at this moment. Thank You that if I am in the middle right now, You will bring me through to my miracle. I declare that I am going to triumph in Christ. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

WORD FOR TODAY.

No More Sour Grapes

Ezekiel 18:2–3, NIV
“What do you people mean by quoting this proverb about the land of Israel: ‘The parents eat sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge’? As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, you will no longer quote this proverb in Israel.”

The people God spoke to through the prophet Ezekiel believed that because the parents had addictions or the grandparents were depressed and lived with lack, the children were going to struggle with the same problems. They just accepted that generational problems were passed down and nothing could be done about it. But God said, “Why are you using the excuse that your problems came from your parents, the mistakes they made, or how they raised you? As long as I live, you are not bound by the negatives that were passed down to you.” People in your family line may have eaten the sour grapes, put you at a disadvantage, and passed along hardships that you didn’t choose, but God is about to remove what’s holding you back.
When Jesus declared, “It is finished,” on the cross, that included any generational baggage you inherited. Chains are breaking. God is putting an end to it, once and for all. There’s about to be generational breakthroughs, blessings, freedom, abundance, and joy—not just for you, but for your children and grandchildren. Rise up and say, “Today it ends.”

Prayer For Today :
“Father, thank You that I don’t have to be defined by my family’s past, by dysfunctions or limitations that were passed down to me. Thank You that I can take a stand and remove anything that is holding me back. I declare that I will be the difference maker who rises up to put it to an end. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

What Do You See?

Habakkuk 2:2, GW
Then the LORD answered me, “Write the vision. Make it clear on tablets so that anyone can read it quickly.”

We all have dreams we want to accomplish and promises God has put in our hearts. We’re praying, believing, standing in faith, but there’s another important step. The Scripture says to “write the vision” or “write what you see.” When you close your eyes, what do you see? What has God whispered in your spirit? Maybe it’s to start a business, to see your health turn around, to move into a new neighborhood. It’s not enough to just hope it happens. When you write it down, you give it permission to come to pass.
God says to make the vision so clear that “you can read it on the run.” That means to have the vision in front of you all through the day. Put it on your bathroom mirror, on your phone, your computer at work, your refrigerator. When you constantly see what you’re believing for, it’s getting down in your spirit. Every time you see it, say under your breath, “Lord, thank You for bringing it to pass.” As you see that vision over and over, it will fuel your faith.

Prayer For Today :
“Father, thank You for the promises and dreams You have spoken to my spirit. Thank You that I can write down what I see and give it permission to come to pass. I believe that as I see that vision over and over again, it is getting into my spirit and fueling my faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Word For Today.

The peace of God.

John 14:27,
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Praise Jesus!
Let me share briefly about the Peace of God.
You will agree with me that life often brings storms that shake our peace.
Many hearts are troubled, many minds are restless, and many are bereaved, many are sick, but in the middle of all this, Jesus speaks a powerful word “Peace I leave with you.”
This is not ordinary peace. It is heaven’s peace, peace that stands when circumstances are unstable, peace that rules when fear tries to take over.
I want to remind someone that true peace is found not in the absence of problems, but in the presence of Christ.
Jesus does not promise a storm free life, but He promises a troubled free heart. His peace is not the absence of battles but it is His presence in the middle of them.
The world gives peace when things are okay but Jesus gives peace even when things are not okay.
Those that are troubled, mag you receive His peace in Jesus name.

Let's Pray,
Lord, I thank You for placing Your wonderful, powerful, protective peace in my life. I am grateful that You have positioned it to stand at the entrance of my heart and mind and that it dominates my mind and controls my life. Because what is inside me is what rules me, I choose to let this peace rise up and conquer me. With this peace standing at the gate of my heart and mind, I know it will disable the devil's ability to attack my emotions and will not permit his lies and accusations to slip into my mind! Thank You for loving me enough to put this powerful peace in my life! I pray this in Jesus' name!

I confess that I am guarded and protected by the powerful peace of God that works in my life. It rises up to dominate my mind; it controls my thinking; and it determines the condition of my life and the environment where I live and work. I am unaffected by the circumstances that surround me, for this supernatural peace stands at the gate of my mind and emotions to monitor everything that tries to access me. Because no fretting, anxiety, panic, or worry is allowed to enter me, I remain free, calm, and peaceful - even in difficult situations that in the past would have upset me! I declare this by faith in Jesus' name!

Are You Asking and Asking?

Today’s Scripture :
Mark 11:24, NIV
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Today’s Word :
What are you believing for? It might be to accomplish a dream, to meet the right person, or for your health to turn around. You’ve prayed, believed, stood in faith, but it hasn’t happened yet. Sometimes we want it so badly and are so determined that we keep asking and asking, “God, You have to turn this around. Please heal my child. Please give me this good break.” But here’s the key: Once you pray, you don’t have to ask again. From then on, you need to thank God that it’s on the way. Take Him at His word.
Jesus says that when you pray, believe that you have received it at that moment. Believe that God is so faithful that He set the miracle into motion, that in the unseen realm angels are dispatched with your healing, your breakthrough, your freedom. Believe that it happened right then. If you receive when you believe, if you already have it by faith, you don’t have to keep asking for it. You have to switch over from asking to thanking God, expecting that it’s on the way.

Prayer For Today :
“Father, thank You for all the promises You’ve given to me in Your Word. Thank You that I don’t have to worry about if or how You’re going to make them happen or stress out when I don’t see things changing. I will believe first and declare that answers are on the way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
