make us StrongerJob 2:9-11 (NASB)9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast yourintegrity? Curse God and die!” 10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shallwe indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.I was reflecting upon Job and its amazing that he wasable to go through what he did and come out stronger. When you think about it, we worry when several areas in our life are under affliction. When our pocket book is not doing well, we worry. When our loved onesare in danger, we worry. When our health is attacked, we worry. Well for Job who the bible recognizes as a wealthy man, all three areas were hit simultaneously. He lost all his property, he lost all his children and he lost his great health but yet the bible says that in this entire trial Job did not sin nor did he blame God.Trials are designed to make you stronger, even at the gym they will tell you that it is through resistance that we gain strength. The issue arises when we forget who we are and whom we have believed in. Job knew and understood the God that he was serving and he trusted that no matter how bleak things looked in the natural, God would not allow anything to come his way that would destroy him.Where is your focus when you are going through a trial? Do you focus on the trial or do you focus on the God you serve and the end result that the trial will produce in your life? If you focus on the trial you will become discouraged and most likely you will complain and lament, you will find someone to blame and you will end up miserable. It is interesting to note that the bible would point out that in all this Job did notsin with his lips.Do you really trust in God? Do you believe that He would not allow anything to come your way that will destroy you? Are you able to focus on Him though youlose your family, your property and even your health and the person who is supposed to encourage you though it all tells you to curse God and die? If Job did it, you and I are also able to do it because God is with us in all situations.Remember all things work together for good….Job 42:1212 The LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; and he had 14,000 sheep and 6,000 camels and 1,000 yoke of oxen and 1,000 female donkeys. 13 He had seven sons and three daughters.

This One Thing I do True transformation Philippians 3:13-14 (AMP)13 [a]Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.Unlike in the natural, maturity in Christ does not happen naturally, it has to be intentional. We come to Christ and we are born again, we are babies in the faith but we should not remain there. Jesus tells us that he is the vine and we are the branches. If we remain connected to Him then we will bear fruit and a part from Him we can do nothing! Remaining in Him does not happen naturally, we have to be deliberate about it.One hindrance to maturing in Christ is not forgetting what lies behind. Instead of using the word of God andwhat it says about us as a point of reference, we wantto use our past and we end up disqualifying ourselvesfrom that which God wants to do in our lives. Our point of reference should always be what the word of God says about us. Though I am still living in the same body and on the same earth, I am a new creation and I must start thinking that way. Though my situation may be speaking a different story from what Gods word says, I should not focus on my past so much that I fail to believe what Gods word says about who I am.I love what Paul says, “forgetting what lies behind” this is coming from a man who had a religious past, a past filled with hatred for the Christian to such a degree that he would move from one city to another topersecute them. He says this is no longer his point of focus; instead he is making a choice to press on towards the goal to win the heavenly prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus! No matter how dark our past was, this is the same attitude we shouldhave in our lives, pressing on towards the picture thatthe word of God has painted for us.You and I cannot focus on our past and expect to be transformed, NO! We must focus on his word and Press on towards becoming transformed into his image

Missed Opportunities; Fear
I read the story of a man who hid for 32 years fearing punishment of pro-Nazi wartime activity. The man said he used to cry when he heard happy voices outside, but dared not show himself even at his mother's funeral. When he was a young man making shoes, he went into hiding at his sister's farmhouse in June, 1945. He was found years later after she boughta large supply of bread in the nearby village. "If I had not been discovered, I would have remained in hiding. So I am happy that this happened," The man told a reporter. Throughout those years he did nothing. He never left the house, and could only look down at the village in the valley. Can you imagine the opportunities that passed him by simply because he was held back by fear? Reminds me of the Israelites;Numbers 13:31-3331 But the men who had gone with him said, “We can’tattack those people! They’re too strong for us!” 32 So they began to spread lies among the Israelites about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored is one that devours those who live there. All the people we saw there are very tall. 33 We saw Nephilim there. (The descendants of Anak are Nephilim.) We felt as small as grasshoppers, and that’s how we must have looked to them.”God had assured them that the land was theirs, he had assured them of victory and the time to go in was now but because of the report of the 10 spies, they were held back by fear. Talk about a missed opportunity. It is sad to know that because of allowingfear to hold them back, not only did they miss this opportunity to possess the land of promise; they never got to enter it because this whole generation Moses included all died in the wilderness except for Joshua and Caleb. What are you afraid of? As someone once said, Fear is simply false evidence appearing real. Do not be likethe man in our story who was in hiding for 32 years because he was held back by fear. Cease the momentand maximize on the opportunity that is before you. With God’s help and leading you will make it through. Step out of your comfort zone and do what you are called to do. Remember only those who jump out of the boat get to experience what it feels like to walk on water!DECLARATIONI will step out in faith; I will not allow fear to take me hostage. My God has not given me a spirit of fear but one of POWER, LOVE and a SOUND MIND!
