BUILDING & RAISING A QUALITY AND STRONG GODLY FAMILY

Acts 2: 46
Isaiah 32:18

The Christian Family is a Godly Family which is founded on the belief that Jesus is the center of their lives.

A strong Christian family is a place of 5 things:

- A place of Joy
- A place of peace
- A place of comfort
- A place of support
- A place of rest.

A quality and strong Christian family:
- Has protocols
- Procedures
- Guidelines and
- Policies of operation which are all scripture based.

These are some of the characteristics of a quality and strong Christian family.

1) They recognise that the husband/ father is not only the head of the family but also one who has the principal responsibility for the family provisions. He provides for his family.

1 Timothy 5:8

- This kind of a quality and strong Christian family recognises the husband/father is the Biblical leader of the family.

Genesis 3:9

- When both Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the garden of Eden, Bible says

" And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him where art thou"

2) The wife submits and respects the husband and does the works of the Proverb 31 woman.

Proverb 31:10 - 31

3) The children of a quality and strong Christian family obey their parents and are innocent. This family serves as the salt and the light of the world.
They are dedicated, devoted and loyal to the family protocols, guidelines and procedures.

4) A quality and a strong Christian family is quick to forgive and they give room for grace.

5) They dine together and practice unconditional love to one another. They are not selfish or self-centered. They allow peace and God's mercy to be abundant in their lives and home.

6) A quality and strong Christian family have good communication and listening attitude.

- Good communication and listening attitude are essential qualities of a Christian family.
- This creates an environment at home where everyone feels comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. This means actively listening to each without having a judgemental attitude.

PRAYER, WORSHIP & PRAISES TO GOD FOR DELIVERANCE

Deliverance out of every prison situation is the heritage of every child of God in Christ.

Never allow any prison situation keep you away or stop you from keeping focus on Christ.

Acts 16:23-26

Deliverance is your liberation that is saturated by your love for God.

Psalms 30: 1- 4 is a reminder to our deliverance from death to life and that we should not allow anything to take us down to the pit.

May the Lord restore you to life that you may worship him and glorify his Holy name.

Psalms 22:3-5

Hebrews 11:

Vs1:5: "By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God".

Vs6: " But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him".

Vs7: " For by faith Noah, being warned of God of the things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to saving of his house......."

Vs8: By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed........."

Vs11:" Through faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age........."

Vs20: " By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come "

Vs:21" By faith Jacob when he was dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph.........."

Vs23:" By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents............"

Vs29:" By faith they passed through the red sea as by dry land........"

Vs30:" By faith the walls of Jericho fell down......"

Vs31: By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not......."

Vs32: " And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson,and of Jephthah; of David also, and Samuel, and of the Prophets "

Vs33: " Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions ".

The faith I am talking about here is the faith that is a covenant force.

This is the faith that:

1) Protects
2) Keeps
3) Defends &
4) Preserves us from the enemy and his opposition,calamities and from the storms of life.

This faith is our shield against the battles of life.

It is one of the greatest forces in the kingdom of our God.

Fear is the devil's weapon. You need to master faith and not fear.

We can't succeed in life without faith.

Matthew 9:22

" But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour "

It is faith that makes us complete and whole

John 11: 40

" Jesus saith unto her, said I not unto thee,that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

Believing will connect us with our expectations.
Believing will make us encounter the glory of God.

Because without faith we will fail
Without faith we will stable &
Without faith we will fall.

So faith is a covenant force we cannot afford to live without.

When faith is missing, future is not guaranteed.

A SERVICE OF THE DISPLAY OF GOD'S GLORIOUS POWER

TAKE IT BY FORCE

Psalms 66:3

" Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee"

The language of victory, whether in the physical world or in the spiritual world.....is the language of force.

Ephesians 6:10 says

Finally brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might........."

Vs12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers......."

Without the application of power, victory is not guaranteed in anything.

Situations of life are answerable to the application of power by the Spirit.

Satan himself does not answer to anything else but to the display of the power of God.

Our God is all- powerful

Psalms 147:4-5

" He determines the number of stars and calls them each by name "

Vs5: Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit "

This all- powerful God is our God and Father .

We are his sons and daughters of power in his kingdom.

John 1:12

" But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons ofGod ........"

Our shifting from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of his dear son imparted power in us.

The enemy the devil understands only the language of power.

Revelation 12: 7-10

It took power to get the devil out of heaven.

By the application of force by the Spirit you will go free from the powers of witchcraft, sickness, bandages and powers of darkness.

It is impossible to take back what belongs to you without the demonstration of power.

God has deposited enough power in us to take charge and have dominion over all the power of the enemy.

TOPIC:PRESERVED BY FAITH
1 Peter 1:3-5

[3]Praised (honored, blessed) be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)! By His boundless mercy we have been born again to an ever-living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

[4][Born anew] into an inheritance which is beyond the reach of change and decay [imperishable], unsullied and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,

[5]Who are being guarded (garrisoned) by God's power through [your] faith [till you fully inherit that final] salvation that is ready to be revealed [for you] in the last time.

We are living in a time when so many things are happening around us whether spiritual or physical

As a church we need to understand because of the things that are happening around us some of the things are not good we are surrounded by oppositions,afflictions,battles,family issues and crisis

We need to understand unless we have what we need to be preserved no one can survive

These many things happening around us the oppositions,the financial crisis,afflictions,battles of life lead us into a total confusion which can lead us to defeat which will lead us to withdrawal of faith

In every area of your life you must be redeemed and preserved

There is Preservation that comes by faith,we must live by faith

Every time God wants to do whatever He wants to do in your life;

1. Your faith is always going to be involved

2.The time/tense in which God wants to fulfill His word in your life is every important

Hebrews 11:1

NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

3.You need to know that your faith to preserve you is measured by how many situations,problems and circumstances of life that you overcome

Some of the things will come to put you down and if you have never been put down by anything then you are doing nothing on earth

You must understand that sometimes you will be put down but when you are put down overcome because it has come to measure the level of your faith

May your faith never close up

The strength of your faith is measured by what you overcome

Hebrews 11:27-29

[27][Motivated] by faith he left Egypt behind him, being unawed and undismayed by the wrath of the king; for he never flinched but held staunchly to his purpose and endured steadfastly as one who gazed on Him Who is invisible. [Exod. 2:15.]

[28]By faith (simple trust and confidence in God) he instituted and carried out the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood [on the doorposts], so that the destroyer of the firstborn (the angel) might not touch those [of the children of Israel]. [Exod. 12:21-30.]

[29][Urged on] by faith the people crossed the Red Sea as [though] on dry land, but when the Egyptians tried to do the same thing they were swallowed up [by the sea]. [Exod. 14:21-31.]

Hebrews 11 is a record of many heroes of faith that stood by the word of God and by the voice of God they were never moved and you can be the next hero

Some of the friends that you are with and the people you work with they are always used by God and sometimes used by the devil to measure your faith

When your faith will be measured overcome because the faith that is going to be measured and you overcomeis the kind of faith that will preserve you in the midst of your problems

According to the scripture in:

Luke 12:48 (NIV)

"But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked "

Much has been given us by the Lord and much is required of us by the Lord.
He has blessed us with wisdom, diverse Gifts and talents, health and wealth, knowledge and time, and so much is expected of us by the Lord as the leaders of the church of Christ.

This is NIBC Church Kayole LEADERS NIGHT of LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND PLANNING.

SUNDAY SERVICE (14/01/2024)

"LET THERE BE LIGHT "

WE ARE IN THE SEASON OF EXCEEDING GREAT ILLUMINATION FOR BETTER LIVING

Genesis 1:1-3

" In the beginning God created the heaven and earth.

" And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

- It was until God spoke and said " LET THERE BE LIGHT " otherwise there was no LIGHT for LIGHT.
- It was until God spoke: and LIGHT came into being.
- It was until God spoke and water and dry land came into existence.

- The firmament, the heavens, the vegetation, the animals and finally the man were in existence.

John 1:3
" All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made "

- Whatever God wanted to exist...

- "God spoke that it be"
- And it could not " BUT BE"

- The word of God is irresistible and restless.

- The following verses after Genesis 1:1.....
- God is preparing the already existing earth for life.
- Vs2 " Now the earth was formless and void,empty, desolate, shapeless and a waste...

- This state cannot be the state of your life today.
- You have been re-created in Christ.
- God commands LIGHT into every formlessness and shapelessness in your life in Jesus name.

- We are in the season of EXCEEDING GREAT ILLUMINATION FOR BETTER LIVING.

- ILLUMINATION here means:
" Divine enlightenment in the human heart with the truth of the word of God.

- This has something to do with bringing your life to the light and the truth of God's word.

- A kind of re-creation has to take place in our lives in Jesus name.

- The God who declared: Let there be light... wants to make this light shine in his church and in the lives of his people.

No1: To give you the light of the knowledge of God's Grace and power.

No2: That you may come to the knowledge of the glory of God that is displayed in Christ.

Isaiah 60:1

"Arise, shine; for thy light is come,and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you"

2 Corinthians 4:6

"For God who commands the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

John 8:12

" Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life "

- The physical light that appeared on earth at the declaration of God that:
LET THERE BE LIGHT..

- Is a true picture of what God does to every one who puts his trust in Jesus ( The True LIGHT)

- No walking in darkness anymore
- No walking in sin anymore
- No walking walking in death anymore

- For the LIGHT OF LIFE is come upon us in Jesus name.

God is one and whatever He says is also one but graces are different as per the annointing that is in regard to the vision and the commission that God has placed in the life and in the congregation that has gathered in that place

Ephesians 5:13
"LET THERE BE LIGHT"

Ephesians 5:13
[13]But when anything is exposed and reproved by the light, it is made visible and clear; and where everything is visible and clear there is light.

TOPIC:LET THERE BE LIGHT
Genesis 1:1-5

[1]IN THE beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth. [Heb. 11:3.]

[2]The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.

[3]And God said, Let there be light; and there was light.

[4]And God saw that the light was good (suitable, pleasant) and He approved it; and God separated the light from the darkness. [II Cor. 4:6.]

[5]And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

The heaven is the dwelling of God it is where God began things

When God was creating the heaven and the earth He was not in heaven because He cannot create what He is already in

There are the heavens and there is the heaven they are not the same

Some of us we might be in darkness,we might be in the night while in the day

It was not that there was the night and the day it's only that God looked at the light and called it the day and looked at the darkness and called it the night

You can be in your night while it is still daytime because in you are in darkness

You are in darkness because in you there is no light

Where there is no light there is darkness

Where there is darkness there are things of darkness that are happening there

We are in the season of understanding how God works,how God does things and what comes out of the manifestation of light

That is why we must all of us as a church have great access to light in 2024

Because of genuine encounter with the light of God in His word We will be enlightened for the liberation of the church,your life

Before the return of Jesus the light must light up again in the lives of the people and there must be manifestation of what must be revealed by the power of the light

That's why whatever you do in 2024 before you touch it you need to get yourself into the light,you need to seek and engage the light

We are in a season of turning every darkness into light by the knowledge/power of God's word

Before the return of Jesus the light must reveal the hidden

Every miracle that belongs to God's children will be manifested by the power of the light

The barrenness of anything from now and in the year 2024 shall be brought into productivity

This means that them that believe the word of God will receive their package,they will receive their portion,them that just come to church will wait for another season

In this season every son and every daughter by the reason of the light there will be manifestation of some things without your prayer

Illumination is access to light,access to knowledge, access to information that drives out every ignorance

Most of us as a people and a church we are used to walking and doing things in ignorance but it is time to come into the place of the light

That is the reason as to why you cannot revolve around the blessings and breakthroughs that God has meant for you

Ephesians 4:17-18

[17]So this I say and solemnly testify in [the name of] the Lord [as in His presence], that you must no longer live as the heathen (the Gentiles) do in their perverseness [in the folly, vanity, and emptiness of their souls and the futility] of their minds.

[18]Their moral understanding is darkened and their reasoning is beclouded. [They are] alienated (estranged, self-banished) from the life of God [with no share in it; this is] because of the ignorance (the want of knowledge and perception, the willful blindness) that is deep-seated in them, due to their hardness of heart [to the insensitiveness of their moral nature].

The power of darkness is in ignorance

We are in a season where we must be identified with something
1.We are identifying ourselves with God
2.We are identifying ourselves with the house of God

When you identify yourself with God in the year 2024 you are identifying yourself with the favours in the house,with the grace in the house for the manifestation of what the light can bring out

Every time you ignore you operate under a demon called Ignorance

Days of ignorance are over it is time to walk under instructions

We are going to have access to the light that reveals the truth of Jesus that sets everyone free that comes to Him

Some of us walk by what we think or what we know but what we think or know is not the truth,the truth is Jesus

Every truth is that which is manifested by the light

Do you know why you don't love Jesus?;its because you have not gained access to the light that reveals the truth which is Jesus

When the light reveals the truth which is Jesus there will be liberation of your life because this light sets them free that come to Him

John 1:9

[9]There it was–the true Light [was then] coming into the world [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] that illumines every person. [Isa. 49:6.]

Why the light?

1.The purpose of light is to reveal that which has been hidden

The light that you have access to does the manifestation

Light is for making you see and when you see it then you know what to do with it

2.The light is for enlightening us to the very degree of the revelation of the word by His spirit

Gen 1:1-2

The very God who created the heaven is the same God that created the earth

Whatsoever God creates is beautiful

For the earth to be formless and shapeless In Genenis 1 verse number 2 there must be something that happened in verse number 1

Why is your life formless,empty,void,with darkness this is because the devil has messed up with what was originally there in the beginning,We must bring it back

What the devil tampered with after verse number 1 the spirit of God refused with it

When your life is empty when will it be filled?

John 1:1,4-5
[1]IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. [Isa. 9:6.]

[4]In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.

[5]And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].

All things was made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made

The spirit of God was brooding over the face of the earth because it was protecting the creation of God and the purpose of God after the mess the devil brought on the face of the earth

All of us need to come together powerfully in the season of Illumination,in the season of exceeding great Illumination for our better living

TOPIC:FINISH STRONG AND START IT RIGHT
Psalms 65:11-13

[11]You crown the year with Your bounty and goodness, and the tracks of Your [chariot wheels] drip with fatness.

[12]The [luxuriant] pastures in the uncultivated country drip [with moisture], and the hills gird themselves with joy.

[13]The meadows are clothed with flocks, the valleys also are covered with grain; they shout for joy and sing together.

Every challenge or crisis is in the hand of God He will handle it

If there is anything that will take you backwards it's remembering where you came from

INTRODUCTION TO THE SERVICE

This service is a service that is in preparation for the new year 2024

As 2023 comes to an end many of us might be reflecting on what has happened for the last 12 months

Some of us also are also counting some testimonies that's why we cannot be the same people

God is one but destinies are different that's why we must catch up with our destinies

Don't allow the devil to kill your destiny

A testimony to someone will always open that person to the next page of life in the year to come

When others ate crying over what happened in 2023 there are others who are laughing because of what happened to them

Why are they laughing over what has happened in the last twelve months;this is because the Bible says it all worketh for good for some people them that are called by the name of God

Your discords and problems ,your misunderstandings that were there over the year were there for your learning

Learn through challenges,challenges are lessons

Learn somethingforbthe year 2024 from what has happened in the year 2023

In the midst of hardships,crisis,disasters,misunderstandings that have happened in the 2023 somebody can arise and say nevertheless thanks be to our God ,because in the midst of those challenges He has seen you through

Psalm 65 was sung by the Psalmist after the spring rains which came down to water the earth and refresh it

That's why psalms 65 comes to us at the end of the year 2023 to refresh and water us out of the disasters of 2023,challenges, prayers that were not answered that at the end of it we might say God

You are the right kind of a person to prepare yourself for what is ending and what is starting

This Psalms is more meaningful particularly to those of us who have gone through bad seasons in the year 2023

It is God who crowns the year with a crown of goodness,fatness,mercy,favour

It doesn't matter the battles and challenges that might be coming in the coming years it is God who crowns the year

1.May the Lord place a crown of His favour and grace upon your life in the new year

A crown is a special badge that is worn to show an official position or the current position of that person

This kind of crown it used to be and even today it is worn by King's and Queens,by winners and conquerors

Crowns are identified with royalty

1 Peter 2:9

[9]But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. [Exod. 19:5, 6.]

You will face all challenges of the new year but will overcome them because you are identified with royalty

2.Gods crown of favour in your new year is for your bountiful harvest

This kind of harvest in the year to come is calling everyone for some form of;
1.Identity
2.Good action plan

This means in the new year we are going by instructions

This also means everyone in the year to come you must have a form of identity You must Identify yourself with christ,with the house of God

Identify yourself with God's word,wisdom,understanding and knowledge

Identify yourself with other brethren/saints not with non believers

Before the children of Israel took over the promised land there things they were to do;
1.Jordan was to be crossed and
2. The walls of jericho was to be brought down

If God takes you through stony paths the same God knows that He will fix you with strong shoes,He will give us strength in the years to come

The Psalmist in Psalms 65 speaks about abundance after a dry season

God has allowed us to go through some hard pathway but still the grace of God has carried us through those pathway we must prepare ourselves to see his faithfulness,mercy and goodness in the new year
