Meet Leon Githae
"It [all] started back in Campus, at Daystar University; where the conviction to do full time ministry saturated my heart. A question rang in my head, who are you living for? What are you living for? After days and nights battling with God I gave in and answered the call, left school and so much more. I joined Kinara in May 2014 to sharpen my ministry skills and to grow as a leader. " - Leon says
During this process Leon got to know Nairobi Chapels' vision to plant 300 churches by 2020. At first he was not for the idea, however after a few months Leon heard they were looking forward to plant in London. This caught Leon's interest and six months later he got an email asking if he wanted to be a part of the Lord's work in London. This was another had choice Leon had to wrestle with.
" I had to make it because I knew it would demand all of me and everything I had. Making the choice on whether to Go or not even became harder because there were vows to be made for a period of seven years. " Leon mentions.
He took time to pray and fast and to seek Gods will. During that time 2 corinthians 5:14-15 captured his heart. Leon realized that God was calling him deeper asking the same question of who and what he was living for.
Since then Leon has been continually answering to the call of Global missions (Love God, Love Others). He has come to discover that there is nothing he would rather do than add more souls to the kingdom of God and help them live a fulfilling and purpose driven life here on earth.
Leon is not sure exactly what the next 7 years look like, he has learned to let God determine his steps. However he is sure London isn't ready for what God is about to do. London is just the first of many and we are hoping and praying for a revival and an awakening not only in England but Europe as a whole.
