God's grace during this festive season
"Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favour as with a shield."
(Psalm 5:12, NIV)

David frequently experienced opposition from those who did not serve God as he did, and this is often evident from his writings in the psalms. Psalm 5 is one such psalm. As was so often the case, God-hating enemies opposed him. But what stands out in this particular Psalm is David's confidence that God would hear and uphold him in his annointing.
God intends to bring your family and you to a place of abundance!
A land filled with favor, opportunity, and good health irrespective of any opposition from whichever corner.
You may not be there yet, but by God's grace you'll be there one day.
Your blessings are on the way as David said in Psalm 31, “God has blessings stored up for those that love the Lord.” There are business opportunities, breakthroughs, and blessings lined up for you that God wants to release.
There are promotions stored up that has your name and family name on it. Good health, provision,
relationships, breakthroughs —because of your love the God.
God is releasing to you that which he's prepared for you. Nobody can thwat his plans for you. When you honor God, when you’re faithful to him, then you'll walk in His blessings.
You only need to search for Him diligenly, then favor, mercy, and breakthroughs, are going locate your address! Good breaks are going to be your potion! In Jesus' name.
Position yourself for blessing by walking in His ways. Meditate on the his word, sing songs of praise.
Thank Him for what He is doing for you today.
Enjoy this festive season overwhelmed in his blessings. I pray for abundance this festive season.

Prayer
Father, thank You for blessing me. Thank You for Your favour and goodness in my life. Help me live in your perspective, your Victory, and be a blessing to others as I daily keep my heart and mind focused on You.
In Jesus’ name! Amen.

The Power of Words

‭Jeremiah 15:19 NIV‬
"Therefore, this is what the Lord says: “If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let these people turn to you, but you must not turn to them."

Words of the mouth are powerful. From the very beginning, we see that words are not just sounds — they carry life, meaning, and spiritual power.

In John 1:1, the Bible says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." This is revelation that not only is the Word important, but that God Himself is called the Word.

Words are spiritual. They have an effect when spoken. In Isaiah 55:11, God says, "My word... shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please." In other words, words have consequences — and they don’t come back void.

We see this clearly in Genesis 1:3, where God said, "Let there be light," and there was light." He used words to create the world. That reveals how powerful the words can be.

Because of this, we must be very careful with what we say. In James 3:10, "Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be." We should not bless someone one moment and curse them the next. That’s not right.

Also, our words can trap us. Proverbs 6:2, "Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth." This means we can get ourselves into trouble by what we say.

God listens to our words. In Numbers 14:28, He says, "As ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you." That means what we say matters to Him — and He responds to our words.

That’s why God teaches us in Colossians 4:6, "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt." This means we should speak kindly and wisely, in a way that helps and blesses others, not in a way that hurts or tears down.
Words are powerful. They create, they carry a meaning, and they affect others and even our own lives. So let’s use our words carefully — to bless, not curse; to build up, not destroy; to speak life, not harm. Because God is listening, and our words matter.

Prayer
Glorious Heavenly Father, Help me to speak words that bring life, not harm. Teach me to use my tongue to bless, not curse. Let my words be full of grace and truth, seasoned with love to your glory and honour, in the precious name of Jesus I have prayed, Amen,

Strong faith breeds a strong Family

Amos 3:3 – “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?”

A united family is like a compacted, well-built house. It is strong, steady, and able to withstand life’s frequent storms. Disagreement and division weaken relationships, but when family members choose to walk in agreement, they create a hedge around them. This hedge is modelled out of an atmosphere of love, trust, and mutual respect. Unity does not necessarily mean uniformity; it means valuing each person’s uniqueness while pursuing a shared vision and purpose.

Just as two can not walk together without agreement, a family can not thrive without shared vision and understanding. Open communication is key, and it also includes a commitment to love and walk with each other unconditionally.
Intercede that God will bind your family together in peace and unity while training each member to work towards a common goal guided by love and humility.
Purpose to make informed choices and take a moment to reconcile your family with God. The Church is also a family of believers and sometimes suffers similar differences. The same principles apply to Her.
It is key to speak words of encouragement and a commitment to an agreed future goal while walking together as one under God’s wise guidance.

Prayer
Almighty God, conflicts and disagreements are like a thorn in the flesh in families. However, it's my prayer that you'll train us through your word on how either agree or agree to disagree on matters we plan to do together as a family. Teach us to stick together as one despite our various different convictions and persuasions in Jesus' name. Amen.

The Alpha and the Omega

‭Revelation 22:13-14 NIV‬
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. [14] “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

The words of the song Alpha and Omega by Israel Houghton speak about this scripture:

“You are the Alpha and Omega,
We worship You, our Lord,
You are worthy to be praised.
We give You all the glory,
We worship You, our Lord.........”

The Bible refers to God as the Alpha and the Omega, which means the Beginning and the End (Revelation 22:13). He is the One who created everything, He holds everything together, and He will bring all things to a perfect ending in His own time. Therefore, all the glory and honour belong to Him at all times.

We give God glory because He alone makes all things be and possible. When He allows the posibility of being and happening; He says Yes, and no one can say No (Isaiah 14:27). However, sadly, many a times we forget to give Him glory because we focus on our own strengths, vision, achievements, and victory, which we can not manage without Him.

However, on my birthday, I was reminded that my life is God’s gift. Waking up each morning is a miracle, and so I must give thanks. The psalmist says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord” (Psalm 150:6). The dead can not praise God (Psalm 115:17), but as long as we live, we must honour and worship Him. The self may take over and declare victory as a personal procession but in vain. However, no victory can be achieved alone and away from ĥim. He is the source of Victory.

So, let us not allow the problems of life to disrupt us from praising God. Each day, we can lift our voices and sing:

“You are the Alpha and Omega,
We worship You, our Lord, you are worthy to be praised.
We give You all the glory,
We worship you our God. You are worthy all our praises”

Prayer
Faithful Father, who art in Heaven, You are the Alpha and Omega, forgive me for the times I failed to give You the glory You deserve. I also often focus on my needs rather than Your greatness. Today, I return to you with gratitude. Teach me to praise You daily with my life, for You alone are worthy all the praise. I praise you for my achievements and for my vision. This is my humble praise in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS.
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin.”
(Zechariah 4:10, NLT )

David was anointed to be the next king of Israel while in his early teenage years. It was a very remarkable moment for him. However, he did not occupy the palace immediately; in essence, he was sent back to the shepherds’ fields or the wilderness palace to tend his father's sheep. This way he learnt new skills in leadership and shepherdhood of a Nation.
You can be anointed and appointed, but in some wilderness learning skills to qualify you for your next office. There will be moments of hardship, moments of testing, and moments of tribulations in order to prepare you for God's devine appointment. David may have found it difficult and lonely living in the wilderness and most probably complained. He could have slacked off, but he kept putting his best foot forward. He was a great king in the waiting; with a big vision & dream. Caring for sheep as his subjects, but practising to shepherd a devine theocratic nation in near future. However, he was practising with his sling and not a Javeline or a bow and an arrow to protect them from predators. He never envisioning that one day he would use the same skills to slay the giant Goliath. He had to learn these skills and prove to God that he was ready to take care of His people through tendering and protecting his father's sheep in the wilderness.

Do not despise small beginnings and opportunities in life. Don’t slack off because you’re not getting recognised. You’re in preparation leg of your great vision journey. Keep pursuing and passing whichever tests that are in the offering be your best. Serve diligently when no one is looking, do the right thing at the right time, when nobody seems to be putting any focus on you. But be assured God is watching. He notices and admires your faithfulness, your skillfulness, your growth, and your excellence. This will be until He can qualify you with the perfection required for the task ahead. For God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called.

Prayer
“Father, thank You that You have given me both an anointing and an appointing. Thank You that You are taking me through a preparation process to get me to my appointment. I believe that I will pass the faithfulness test of being my best and get to where You are taking me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

THE EARTH IS THE LORD’S AND ALL THAT IN IT

'But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless, at Your word, I will let down the net.”'

(Luke 5:5, NKJV)

As Jesus was preaching along the Sea of Galilee, many people pressed in on Him that He requested to get into Peter’s boat. Peter agreed and pushed it out from shore in order to keep speaking. When He had finished, He told Peter to launch into the deep and he would catch a great haul of fish.Fishing usually happens at night fall.Peter had fished all night and caught nothing. He was a professional fisherman and knew when and where to fish. Peter could have thought, “Who is this man to tell me how to fish?” But he responded, “Jesus, this doesn’t make sense. Nevertheless, because You say so, I’m going to do it.” He went out and caught so many fish that his nets began to break, and when his partners in another boat came to help, both boats were so loaded down that they almost sank.

God controls the wealth of the world. He knows where your provision is, and He knows how to get it to you. It may not make sense or seem logical at times. But God loves to do things out of the ordinary, so you’ll know it is not by power or by might but by the spirit that comes from the Lord.

Prayer
“Father, thank You that there are breakthroughs, promotions, healing, restoration, and abundance when I walk in humility, in faith, in trust, and in obedience to Your word. Thank You that You control the world and all that's in it. Help me to humble myself and do according to your will. Act as per your word even when I can not comprehend it and acquire my breakthroughs. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

YOUR FAITH JOURNEY.

The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation.”
Genesis 12:1–2, NIV

The way God leads us always requires faith. For Abram to reach his destiny meant he had to leave his comfort zone, his friends, his area, his abond, his purported blessing, and take steps of faith into the unknown. Our God is a moving God. He’s taking you on a journey. The place of blessing is to move from known to the unknown. It may not always be physical as it was for Abram; sometimes it’s in your cognitive, or in your spiritual life, or in your psychological world. You can not leave with limited mindsets. You have to quit telling yourself you’re not qualified to take that new position, teach that new class, or volunteer at the church. Quit thinking about what didn’t work out, who you did wrong, the relationship that didn’t work out. God is in control. He knows when it’s time for you to move forward. That’s why He’s commanded another place for you to be blessed. Just be sensitive to what He’s saying and be quick to obey. You have to leave where God commanded you to leave and go to where God has called you. It is a place strategically orchestrated to get you to the fullness of your destiny. Just trust and Obey.

Prayer
“Father, thank You for calling me. I promise to follow Your direction in my life. Thank You that You are a moving God, I promise to journey with You always. I will take steps of faith at your word into the unknown. I look forward to the new places of blessing that You have for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

RELATIONSHIPS ARE FROM GOD & SACRED.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”

(John 13:34, ESV )

Our relationships are blessed and sacred. God gives us people in life to tend, love, and care for them as Jesus loved us. Don’t treat them as though they’re ordinary or just common. They’re priceless gifts given by God. He has entrusted you with His most valuable possessions, people whom He made in His own image and likeness. He calls masterpieces.
Don’t throw around hurtful words. Do not say things that demean, wound, degrade, and make them feel useless and unvaluable. Use your words to lift, encourage, and push people forward, but not to give them setbacks.

When we recognize that someone is sacred, we should treat them with more respect. Every person is one of a kind. We have to be extra careful to make sure we never damage them. But sometimes we mishandle the sacred. We let pressure and stress cause us to let our guard down and not treat people the way we should. You may have broken a relationship, but the mercy of God has you covered. Trust Him to restore what is priceless, something you should have handled more carefully. What you shattered, He’s about to put back together.

Prayer.
“Father, thank You that You have always been steadfast in Your love for me. Thank You for calling and equipping me to be the same and to treat my relationships as sacred and to stay committed to them. For any relationship that I’ve broken, I trust You to restore what is priceless for your glory and honour. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Give to God a sacrifice

‭2 Corinthians 9:6-7 NIV‬
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

We are fond of giving to others, particularly the poor, what we do not need in our houses. Every time I make an appeal for alms to the less fortunate, I receive a bounty of clothing more than food. This is as families rid themselves of unwanted old clothes from their wadrobes. In fact, some of the clothing ends up in waste.
While giving to the poor is commendable (Proverbs 19:17), it is not enough to pass on what we no longer need. True generosity includes intentionality—planning for the welfare of others, helping them rise, not just survive.

When King David sought to offer a sacrifice to halt a plague, Araunah offered his land and oxen freely. Yet David replied, “I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God that cost me nothing” (2 Samuel 24:24, ESV).

Our worship—whether through time, service, or resources—must reflect a sacrificial giving. We shouldn't only attend church when there’s no competing social event or when we are free!! When choosing between God and other priorities, who wins?

Abel and Cain both offered sacrifices, yet God accepted Abel’s and rejected Cain’s (Genesis 4:3–5). Why? Abel gave from a heart of faith and offered the best of his flock (Hebrews 11:4) Cain selected carelessly from his harvest. Cain's sacrifice was rejected while Abel's was accepted. We need to learn to give to God a well thought and considered sacrifice.

Sacrifices in the bible were to be unblemished—without defect (Leviticus 22:20–22). This symbolized giving God the finest, not leftovers.

Let us examine our hearts and give God not just what costs us nothing—but our best. For He is worthy all the praise, the glory and all the honour.

Prayer

Our Heavenly Daddy, Hallowed be Your Name. You are the Creator of Heaven and Earth, worthy of all glory and all honour.
Help me not to give You a sacrifice that costs me nothing.Teach me to offer my very best—in time, in talents, gifts, and resources. May I offer you a Thanksgiving heart. You are worthy of it all, and much more. In Jesus' name. Amen.

You reap what you sow.

‭Luke 6:38 NIV‬
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you"

One common theme in our prayers is the plea for mercy and forgiveness. Yet, many struggle to extend that same mercy to those who offend them. But take heed—“For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:38, KJV).

“Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law” (Romans 13:8). The unforgiving servant in Matthew 18:21–35 serves as a solemn warning: the mercy we refuse to show may be the mercy we forfeit. Unreceived.

Release the burden of old wounds; unforgiveness binds the soul and weighs the heart. Forgiveness is not weakness—it is liberty. “Forgive, and ye shall be forgiven” (Luke 6:37).
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. It's a condition

Husbands, forgive your wives. Wives, forgive your husbands. Parents, forgive your children. Children, forgive your parents. Friends, forgive one another. Let not bitterness take root in your heart. “Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another... even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye” (Colossians 3:13).

To forgive is to mirror Christ’s heart, to restore fellowship, and to open the gates for divine pardon. May the indwelling Holy Spirit empower you to forgive—even in the face of deep betrayal.

Receive grace. Walk in freedom. And never forget: with the same measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Prayer
Just and Faithful FatherTeach me by Your Spirit to forgive as You have forgiven me.Heal every wound that fuels bitterness.Fill me with Your love and mercy. Help me to release every offence and let forgiveness flow freely through me. In the precious name of Jesus, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

- He wants to transform our lives and make His presence a reality.
- we are His children if we follow his guidance and obey His commands.

Lord, thank You that I do not need to live under condemnation and guilt. You have come to remove the stain of sin so that I can live in a relationship with You and enjoy Your loving kindness towards me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Patience is a spiritual virtue

Jeremiah 30:17
‘I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the LORD.

- We all have areas in our lives that need God’s touch and healing.
- He is faithful to remember our requests and fulfil His promises to heal and restore them.
- God’s promise of restoration and healing is for his children, each and every one of us.
- It is in God’s heart to see you restore you to wholeness, prosperity, and good health.
Psalm 40:1 says;
‘I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry.’
- The Lord is your Keeper and your Helper.
- Your faith and trust in the Lord will not be in vain and will be rewarded.
- When we patiently wait upon God, as an indication of our deep trust and reliance on Him he'll hear us.
- God hears your every cry, and He will step in to resolve your challenge.
- There's a need to understand that God neither ignores nor turns away from his own children.
- At times, his answer is to wait as He prepares an answer for your request. However, eventually, he answers you.

PRAYER:
Lord, thank You that I can call on You and know that You will hear my cry. You will eventually help me, as I patiently wait for Your intervention. Thank You that I can anticipate and believe that You will come to my aid and rescue. I surrender my needs, including my anxieties to you. I believe and trust you'll resolve my challenges in Jesus' name. Amen.
