I used to say social media was not my thing until I spent two years away from home 😅.

During those two years in Kenya, I stayed connected with my family and friends mainly through social media. I kept up with them mostly on WhatsApp and Facebook. Social media became my second world.

During that period, social media was not just for communication. It became a place where I followed what people were doing, learned new things, and engaged with different ideas. It affected me both positively and negatively. In fact, I can confidently say that social media has contributed to how I think today and even influenced my way of living.

When I take time to reflect on it, I realize it is not just me. Social media is shaping the lives of many people, especially young people. There are so many voices in these spaces—some good and some harmful.

Unfortunately, the voices that often dominate are the misleading ones. They appear attractive and convincing, but many people fail to recognize the danger because of how appealing they seem.

What concerns me most is that social media is here to stay. It is becoming a world that will either positively or negatively influence the minds of generations to come.

As Christians, we cannot afford to remain silent or live recklessly in these spaces. We need more godly voices to help guide those who are being deceived and be the evidence of God's goodness. We need to live out our faith on social media just as we are supposed to do in the physical world.

Social media is a real world that is shaping the minds of many. What part will you play?

I took this screenshot in September 2024. I had to keep it because of the caption. It reminds me that in life, God puts the right people and partners in place to support and strengthen your values.

You do not need to forsake your Christian values because of friendships or dating relationships.

Dating relationships are one of the major reasons young people forsake their Christian values. In church, we are encouraged to abstain from s*x and wait until marriage, and everyone seems to agree with that message.

However, in practice, you may find that although your partner is a Christian, he or she pressures you to engage in s*x before marriage.

Some people have ended many relationships because their partners were pressuring them into premarital s*x. They have even reached a point of giving up because they think that "no s*x before marriage" is just a church teaching and that no one actually practices it.

Let me ask you a question:

If no one practices it, why are you still living by and holding on to the idea of "no s*x before marriage"?

It is hard. It has not been easy. But why are you still holding on to it?

The answer is simple: it means that the first person who truly believes and practices it is YOU. And you are not the only one. It's just that your type is rare.

So hold on to your values. You serve a living God who is able to align you with a partner who shares those same values.

Do not hold on to relationships that diminish your values because you think you will never find someone with the same convictions. That is a scarcity mindset.

There is always someone who shares your values, and God will align you with that person if you remain steadfast and never give up.

God will work it out.😊

You don’t need to have everything figured out right now. All you need is a dream and the courage to start implementing it. If you keep dreaming without taking action, your dream will never come to life.

Not sure how to start? Start with what you have. You may not begin with the whole picture, but you can start with a part of it. Just have a clear objective.

One day, you’ll be proud that you started.

Girl, as you start your week, remember to take responsibility for protecting yourself in these online spaces.

Online abuse and s*xual harassment are becoming more common every day, even on platforms like Facebook. And sometimes, without realizing it, you can unknowingly put yourself at risk of online abuse or s*xual harassment.

Every day, you are exposed to pictures of “perfect” bodies, perfect lifestyles, and perfect faces — most of them filtered and edited. After a while, it becomes easy to feel pressured to post certain pictures or reveal more of yourself just to gain attention, likes, or compliments.

Sometimes, you may even find yourself seeking validation online just to feel seen, appreciated, or beautiful.

And yes, people will come into your inbox calling you beautiful, s*xy, attractive, and saying all the flattering words. But don’t let temporary attention make you forget your true value.

You are beautiful, truly. But nudity, revealing dressing and validation from strangers are not the definition of your beauty.

Protect yourself in these online spaces. If you are planning to physically meet a strange man who just inboxed you, think twice!

Not everybody watching you has good intentions. Social media may feel temporary, but what you post today can affect your future tomorrow.

Know your worth beyond likes, comments, and inbox compliments. Stay safe. ❤️

When you know your purpose, your vision becomes clear.

When you know your purpose, you don’t chase every opportunity that looks pleasing or profitable. You only pursue what aligns with your purpose. Sometimes, this even means letting go of greater opportunities because you understand that your purpose is greater than those opportunities.

When you know your purpose, you won’t bring others down in theirs. Instead, you will seek to bring positivity into their lives. Their achievements will inspire you to shine even brighter because you know you are serving the same Master, just on different paths.

When you know your purpose, you move by faith. Purpose will always require you to step out of your comfort zone. It will show you things you never thought you could do or become. But it takes faith to start living a purposeful life. You need to believe before you see.

When you know your purpose, you will believe in yourself before others do. You trust yourself because it is God who has set your purpose. And when you don’t know what to do next, He says, “Don’t worry, I will guide you.”
