Faith That Breaks Through the Roof

Rev. Teresa Nyakego

Text: Mark 2:1–5

True faith refuses to be stopped by obstacles.

In Mark 2, four men carried a paralyzed friend to Jesus and, when the crowd blocked their way, they broke through the roof.

Their determination demonstrates the power of unwavering faith.

1. Faith sees possibilities where others see barriers.

2. Faith is willing to carry others in prayer and support.

3. Faith persists despite opposition and delay.

4. Faith is creative and finds a way forward.

5. Faith acts boldly, not passively.

6. Faith attracts the attention of Jesus.

7. Faith unlocks healing, forgiveness, and restoration.

Takehome:

When faith refuses to quit, breakthroughs happen.

Whatever roof stands before you today, trust God, persevere, and watch Him make a way where none seems possible.

At Foursquare Gospel Mission Kenya Kenya, our thanksgiving worship rose beautifully today as we celebrated Jesus, our Great Physician and everlasting source of mercy.

What a comfort to know that His name still heals, restores, and gives peace to weary hearts.

Truly, there is sweetness, power, and hope in the name of Jesus above every other name.

Christian Growth and Maturity

Rev Pam Harrie

God never intended believers to remain spiritually immature. Just as a child must grow physically, every Christian is called to mature in faith, wisdom, and character through Christ.

1. Spiritual growth is evidence of genuine life in Christ.

2. Immaturity leads to instability and deception.

3. Mature believers feed on solid spiritual truth.

4. Growth requires consistency in prayer and Scripture.

5. Obedience transforms knowledge into spiritual strength.

6. Trials develop perseverance and godly character.

7. Love, humility, and forgiveness reveal true maturity.

Takehome :

Christian maturity is a lifelong journey of becoming more like Christ.

Let us put away childish things and grow in grace, wisdom, and steadfast faith daily.

Today at Foursquare Gospel Mission Kenya , our hearts overflowed with thanksgiving as we sang, “More about Jesus would I know.”

What a beautiful reminder that knowing Christ deeper is life’s greatest treasure.

May His love, grace, and saving fullness continually be revealed in us.

The SIN of JEALOUSY

Bishop Joseph Michieka

Sermon Text : Genesis 4 : 8 - 9

Jealousy begins quietly in the heart, but when left unchecked, it grows into bitterness, division, and destruction.

Cain’s story reminds us to guard our hearts carefully before small seeds become dangerous roots.

1. Jealousy grows where comparison thrives.

2. Uncontrolled anger clouds judgment.

3. Sin always seeks an open door.

4. God warns before destruction comes.

5. Jealousy destroys relationships and peace.

6. Hidden sin eventually reveals itself.

7. God still offers mercy even after failure.

Takehome :

A jealous heart produces sorrow, but a surrendered heart produces peace.

Let us uproot jealousy and allow love, humility, and gratitude to flourish within us.
