CONNECTION OF CALENDERS •• Rev George Wanjohi •• 31.05.2026

As we continue with our theme of Greater Glory, we come to another important truth concerning the year 2026: the convergence, or connection, of calendars.

We have already seen that the number 26 is significant. It is connected to the sacred name of God, YHWH (Yahweh). We have also seen that 26 speaks of the connection between divinity and humanity, God's plan of bringing man back to Himself.

From Adam to Moses there are twenty-six generations. Adam represents humanity's separation from God, while Moses led God's people toward the Promised Land. This points to God's redemptive work of restoring man to His purpose.

We have also seen that 26 is reflected in the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, the way back to God was opened. Jesus Christ is the full expression of God's glory, and through faith in Him we are connected to that glory. Christ in us is the hope of glory, and by His presence we are transformed from glory to glory.

Today we consider the connection of the Gregorian calendar and the Hebrew calendar.

The Hebrew year is 5786. When the digits are added together, they total 26. At the same time, we are in the Gregorian year 2026. This creates a remarkable convergence around the number 26.

In Hebrew symbolism, the letter associated with 5786 is Vav, a letter that speaks of connection, joining, and bringing things together. Thus, both calendars point to the same theme: connection.

Israel operates with two calendar systems: a civil calendar and an ecclesiastical calendar. The ecclesiastical calendar was established by God in Exodus 12:2 when He instructed Israel to mark a new beginning as they came out of Egypt. The civil calendar is used for national affairs, while the ecclesiastical calendar governs the biblical feasts and sacred observances.

The convergence of 5786 and 2026 highlights a prophetic message of connection. It is a year associated with turning points, the resolving of crises, the manifestation of divine connections, greater unity, and spiritual breakthrough.

As believers, this is a season to connect deeply with God and His Word. When we align ourselves with His purposes, situations can change, doors can open, and God's plans can find expression in our lives.

May this be a year in which we experience the reality of God's presence, the power of His Word, and the greater glory that comes through divine connection.

The Assurance of His Victory

Our God is a great God who ensures that we are always victorious in Christ Jesus. This triumph is not limited to a single day or only when we feel strong; rather, God's true intention is for us to overcome the enemy at all times, even during our lowest and most difficult moments. According to 2 Corinthians 2:14, God leads us in a triumphal procession in Christ. As He grants us victory, joy, anointing, and sustenance, our testimonies serve a greater purpose. When we share what God has done, how He has saved us, and how He preserves our lives, we are spreading the beautiful fragrance of His knowledge everywhere, much like releasing the scent of fresh roses.

Divine Restoration and the Just Nature of God
God is entirely just and never forgets our labor, offerings, or service. In the same way He caused the children of Israel to leave Egypt with confidence and great wealth, He calculates all that has been stolen or lost in our lineages and brings timely restoration. Every act of kindness, visitation to the sick, or time spent serving in the sanctuary is carefully recorded by His angels. When it feels as though our efforts are unnoticed, we can take heart knowing that God is preparing a season of visitation and breakthrough. He works by sending His spirit and His angels to shift circumstances and convict hearts, ultimately causing others to look upon His children with favor and release back pay and the blessings they require.

The Power of Divine Remembrance
The narrative of Mordecai in Esther 6 demonstrates how God operates through divine remembrance. When King Xerxes could not sleep, the Lord directed him to the book of records, revealing that Mordecai had previously exposed an assassination plot but had received no honor for it. Consequently, God turned circumstances around, forcing Mordecai’s enemy to lead him through the city in a triumphal procession. This serves as a reminder that the King of Kings has all power to bring our records forward and command our honor at the perfect moment, even when it looks like it has taken long.

Building a Memorial Before the Lord
Similarly, in Acts 10, Cornelius, a devout Gentile officer who feared God, prayed regularly, and gave generously to the poor, received a vision from an angel. The angel explicitly told him that his prayers and gifts had risen as a memorial offering before the Lord. God knew Cornelius specifically by name, knew his exact location, and synchronized a meeting with Simon Peter to bring spiritual wealth and salvation to his entire household. Our obedience, regular prayers, and faithful service consistently rise before God as a lasting memorial, moving Him to grant us complete victory, transformation, and divine visitation.

03.05.2026 Sunday Service •• Greater Glory, Greater Miracles, Greater Sacrifice •• Rev Hoglah Wanjohi

We are in our year of greater glory and where there is greater glory, there will be greater miracles. But with greater miracles also comes a call to greater sacrifice.

When we look at the children of Israel in the wilderness, we see a powerful picture of what God’s glory truly looks like. For 40 years, they lived under divine provision and supernatural care:

Their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell (Deuteronomy 8:4, 29:5).

God fed them with manna: the bread of heaven, more than enough for everyone, every single day (Psalm 78:24–25).

There was no lack, no drought, no rationing; just abundance.

None was feeble or weak; all were strong and healthy (Psalm 105:37).

God brought them out with silver and gold; there was wealth, not just survival

This was the reality of God’s glory: provision in every area: food, health, clothing, direction, and wealth. Heaven literally touched earth.

God guided them with a pillar by day and night; their divine GPS.

Today, we have the Holy Spirit as our guide. Just as Moses said, “If You do not go with us, we will not go,” we too must depend fully on Him.

If God did it for them, He can do it for us. The glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former.
So in this season, let us trust Him deeply: for provision, for direction, for strength. As we step into greater glory, may we also be ready for greater sacrifice, because that is the pathway to seeing greater miracles in our lives.

Amen.

Sunday Service •• 26.04.2026 ••Rev Hoglah Wanjohi

Sowing Upward.
When we sow upwards, the Lord will sow downwards by His glory. He will release His glory to come down. God is able to do all things without anybody's help, but He has made a choice to use human beings to partner with Him. He desires that His glory may come down.

The Knowledge of the Glory
Habakkuk 2:14 says: "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." When we are filled with the knowledge of His glory, we will desire His presence and His power more than ever before.

Just like we breathe the air in our atmosphere to live, the "air" of heaven is His glory. That is what gives people life in heaven. The glory is the realm of eternity. When the glory of the Lord is released down here, His will is done on earth as it is in heaven. There is no death where His glory is. Moses stayed with the Lord in His glory for 40 days and 40 nights without water or food and he survived because he was in the presence of God.

Partnering Through Prayer and Fasting
We are co-workers with God. When we worship Him, praise Him, and raise our voices, His glory comes down. And when His glory comes down, what can He not do? He heals the sick, gives peace to the troubled, and fills hearts with joy.

The city of Nineveh was doomed for destruction, but they sowed upwards through fasting and prayer. They caused everything to fast—even the cows and the cats. Jonah 3:8 says: "Let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God." They gave up their evil ways, and Jonah 3:10 tells us: "When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction he had threatened."

Winning the Battle in the Upper Room
Matthew 9:37-38 tells us: "The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest... to send out laborers into his harvest." We can’t even send ourselves; we must ask the Lord of the harvest because He is the only one who can touch the hearts of men.

The disciples stayed in Jerusalem in one accord, raising their supplications. In Acts 2:1-4, they saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that rested on each of them. The battle was won in the upper room. The results only came out to the ground afterward. Your battle is won in your closet as you worship and sing unto the Lord.

The Shout and the Dance
The Wall of Jericho came down by shouting. As they sowed upwards, the walls could not stand.

David sowed upward through a dance. After he danced before the Lord, he was able to feed an entire nation with cakes and meat.

Paul and Silas were in chains, but their voices were not shut. They sang in the night, sowing upwards, and God responded with an earthquake that opened the prison doors.

Do not give up. If you have sowed for ten years, continue sowing upwards. Every farmer that plants expects some returns. Expect transformation, expect breakthroughs, and expect the move of God. Lift up your heads, O you gates, that the King of Glory may come in!
