~Isaiah 43:2-7 NLT
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. [3] For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom; I gave Ethiopia and Seba in your place. [4] Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you. [5] "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I will gather you and your children from east and west. [6] I will say to the north and south, 'Bring my sons and daughters back to Israel from the distant corners of the earth. [7] Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them~ .'"

*THEME :* Jesus—Our Place of Rest!

*Today's Scripture :*
Matthew 11:29 NKJV
"Learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

*Today's Word :*
Believers in Jesus also have a retreat where we can find rest in the midst of our turbulent World. In Psalms 32:7, King David wrote, “You [God] are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” David recognized that God was his true place of safety.

Jesus welcomes us to find rest and restoration in Him. He says, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:28-29).

He can be our place of rest any time, every time, and all the time. He is humble and gentle!

*Reflection:*
What robs you of peace and rest? How might you seek to find rest in Jesus?

*Prayer For Today :*
"Loving God, I’m tired. This World is tough, and sometimes I feel like the very life is drained from me. Please help me to be more intentional about coming to You and finding rest in Your gracious presence. In Jesus' Name, Amen"

*THEME :* He Stills the Storm!

*Today’s Scripture :*
Psalms 107:29, NKJV
He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.

*Today's Word :*
When you look back over your life, you can see storms of trouble that came against you. Some were bad breaks that had nothing to do with what you had done. Some were unfair, when you were left out or mischaracterized and made to look bad. Other times you tried to step up to a new level, you tried to set a new standard for your family, but opposition you had never faced came out of nowhere. There are forces of darkness that don’t want you to take new ground. When the enemy sees you start to make progress, he’ll send the storm, the waves and the winds, but they cannot stop what God has ordained for you. That’s when God will step up and say, “Peace, be still.” He controls the winds. He has the final say. He pushes back and silences the forces of darkness. What’s come against you is not a sign that you’re stuck; it’s a sign that promotion is coming. You’re about to see things change in your favour, releasing breakthroughs, healing, and abundance to move you into your purpose!

*Prayer For Today :*
“Father, thank You for stilling the storms that are sent to stop my future and for coming to me when the waves were threatening. Thank You that difficulties cannot stop what You have ordained for me. I believe that You are pushing back the forces of darkness and bringing me through. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

(Matthew 6:34) 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

MESSAGE

We have to understand that today is all that God requires us to take care of.
If we get done all that we need to get done, we should enjoy the extra time for ourselves or whatever it may be that God lays on our hearts at that time.
Don't be anxious and thinking we always have to be busy doing something. Sometimes we need to just breathe a little. If we keep filling up our empty time, we will have no time for the important things. No time to rest, no time to play, no time for our spouse, no time for our children and no time for God.
God cares deeply for us and how much we put on ourselves. Enjoy today for what it is. And as difficult as it might seem to be to do this, don't worry about tomorrow.

(Jeremiah 17:9-10 ) 9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? 10 I, the Lord, search the heart,I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.

MESSAGE

Our hearts produce different kinds of fruit, either good or bad.

To be more consistent in producing good fruit, we need to let God work in our hearts. Some areas we will need to let Him soften it and in other areas we may need Him to strengthen it, etc.

Walking with God takes self-control, one of the many fruits of the Spirit.

(Galatians 5:22-23 ) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Let's take a look at self-control.

What does it mean to have self-control? It means to exercise restraint over one's own impulses, emotions, or desires.

The Holy Spirit will help us in this area, as we give Him dominion over our impulses, emotions and our desires.

It may be hard at times, but know that as we follow after God's heart and walk in self control, we will produce good fruit and He will give to us according to our fruit. Amen

(Hebrews 3:4 ) 4 For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.

MESSAGE

Sometimes it may seem like the world is nothing more than a mad ball of chaos.

There is a constant, ongoing battle between good and evil. And many times it seems like evil might be winning, as we see what appear to be victories for the enemy all around us.

But we live here on the earth. And the earth was built by God, our heavenly Father. This is His house... His project. Therefore it has to abide by His word and His rules. So nothing that happens here shocks Him or causes Him to abdicate His throne.

We are the inhabitants of His creation, this earthly kingdom. As His children, we are also present and future inhabitants of His spiritual kingdom, here, on earth and later, in Heaven.

As His children, we have a responsibility to oversee what he has entrusted to us, in the natural and in the spiritual realms.

In the natural, we need to care for the earth and the material things He blesses us with.

In the spiritual realm, we need to do battle with those unseen forces of evil. Sometimes this will require us to stand and speak out, and be seen and heard by others.

But other times it requires us to do warfare in the spirit, without anyone else ever seeing or hearing from us. The only exception would be the devil. When we engage in spiritual warfare, he should feel the repercussions.

So with everything that's happening in the world these days, if you're not sure whether to speak out or not, the very least we should do is pray; rebuke the powers of darkness, bind demons and loose God's freedom in the earth. Pray in the Spirit and push the enemy back with the power of the Holy Spirit.

(Matthew 16:19 ) 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Let's use the weapons that God has entrusted us with.
