*Theme: Casting Your Anxiety to Jesus*
The thread through these verses is: anxiety doesn’t have to run you. Jesus invites you to hand it over, and He gives you something better in its place.
1. *Jesus Offers Peace That Anxiety Can’t Touch*
*John 14:27*
_"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives."_
Anxiety thrives on instability. Jesus’ peace isn’t tied to circumstances. It’s a settled calm that stays when the world’s version of peace falls apart. He gives it to you directly — it’s not something you have to manufacture.
2. *You Hand Anxiety Over Through Prayer, Not Suppression*
*Philippians 4:6-7*
_"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God... will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."_
Casting anxiety isn’t ignoring it. It’s naming it specifically to God. “Every situation” means the small, dumb, 2am stuff too. Gratitude keeps you from spiraling into what-if loops. When you do this, God’s peace acts like a guard for your emotions and thoughts.
3. *The Foundation: God Is Faithful and Close*
*2 Corinthians 1:20* + *Jeremiah 1:4-5*
God keeps every promise in Christ. He said “yes” to you in Jesus. He also knew and set you apart before you were born.
Anxiety often says “God’s forgotten me” or “This is too much for Him.” These verses undercut that. If He knew you before birth and fulfilled His promises in Christ, this situation isn’t outside His reach.
4. *You Don’t Cast Anxiety Alone*
*Hebrews 10:24-25*
_"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds... encouraging one another."_
Isolation makes anxiety louder. God designed community as a place where you can say “I’m anxious” and get pulled back toward truth. Meeting together and encouraging each other is part of how you stay anchored when anxiety hits.
5. *Let God’s Word Replace the Lies*
*Colossians 3:16*
