There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
This statement befits the 12th December 1999 action, that saw a birthing of a new congregation from the mother Church (P.C.E.A Makadara). The first service was held on 12th December 1999 at 9:00 am and it was attended by 12 members only. The Kirk session formally launched the new congregation on 5th M
arch 2000 at 10:00 am. The service was presided by Rev. David Kiarie. After this, the number of members started to grow and by May 2000 there was not enough space in the hall for members to be accommodated during the services. The new challenge to accommodate the growing numbers started. God provided a piece of land in Buruburu Phase 1, a few Yards from the conference hall where the services took place . The land was commonly used as a dumping site. Construction Work Started on 8th February 2002, there arose some resistance from the neighbourhood, and they took their complaints to the magistrate. As an action of Faith, the church leadership saw it wise for the case to start when the congregation had taken possession of the Church grounds and building, so plans to move to the new structure started immediately and We migrated from Jirani Conference Hall on 9th June 2002, to the church building , which already had the roof and the walls at Window level. We migrated with 129 chairs ( 29 of which were borrowed from Jirani Conference Centre) 2 Tables (which were borrowed from Jirani Conference Centre) and a pulpit. On 11th June 2002 the court gave us a go ahead to continue with the building of a Church structure and a community centre.
