π₯ποΈ PENTECOST SUNDAY CELEBRATIONS | THANKSGIVING MASS ποΈπ₯
βCome, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love.β β¨
St. John Bosco Catholic Church β Uhuru Camp under the Administration Police Service Catholic Chaplaincy was filled with great joy, thanksgiving, and the fire of the Holy Spirit descended abundantly upon us as we celebrated Pentecost Sunday in a very special way together with our son, newly ordained Rev. Fr. Michael Makonnen Tashome, SDB, during his Thanksgiving Mass before proceeding for his new mission at St. Don Bosco Upanga β Dar es Salaam. πΉπΏπ
Rev. Fr. Michael, who faithfully served his diaconate apostolate at Uhuru Camp, was the Main Celebrant for both the English and Swahili Holy Masses, marking a memorable homecoming celebration after his priestly ordination.
The Holy Eucharist was concelebrated by our host Parish Priest and Administration Police Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Lucas Gatero, whose continued spiritual guidance and fatherly presence remain a blessing to our faith community.
During this grace-filled celebration:
β¨ Rev. Fr. Michael blessed new liturgical items for the Church
β¨ He imparted the special blessings of a newly ordained priest to the faithful
β¨ He warmly greeted parishioners individually in a beautiful moment of fraternity and thanksgiving
β¨ The celebrations concluded with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony as the faithful bid him farewell and wished him well on his new pastoral assignment
Indeed, Pentecost Sunday became even more meaningful as we witnessed the work of the Holy Spirit through the gift of priesthood and missionary service to the Church.
We thank God for the vocation and ministry of Rev. Fr. Michael Makonnen Tashome and pray that the Holy Spirit continues to guide, strengthen, and inspire him as he begins this new chapter of priestly ministry in Tanzania.
π Congratulations Fr. Michael!
May Don Bosco continue to intercede for you as you shepherd Godβs people with humility, wisdom, and joy.
Viva Don Bosco! β¨
