From Ignorance to Impact

The second tool for moving from ignorance to Impact is ;

b. Truth, Accuracy and Accountability

On social media, many youths rush to post, share, and comment without checking facts—this spreads ignorance. But a youth who pauses to verify information, speaks truth, and posts responsibly creates impact.

Just like Dr. Luke, who carefully investigated the truth before writing, youths must move from careless sharing to truthful, accurate, and accountable engagement online. That is how influence becomes impact.

From ignorance to Impact
This here is the first step or lesson for the youth to become YOUTH WHO ILLUMINATE THE EARTH

For us to move from ignorance to Impact therefore we should have
;
a. A willing Spirit and a teachable heart
Dr. Luke was a learned doctor, yet he humbled himself to learn from God and obey His call. He used his knowledge for God’s glory and willingly joined the mission.

Youth, stay humble, stay teachable, and be willing—God uses available hearts more than perfect people.

KAYO in Action for Creation Care!

Yesterday, the KAYO Department proudly joined other Diocesan departments in commemorating Mazingira Day through a tree planting exercise at Kokadil, Awata Parish. The event, organized by the ACK Diocese of Katakwa in partnership with Equity Bank Malaba, focused on restoring and conserving God’s creation through the planting of indigenous trees.

Guided by our motto, “Be Strong in the Lord” (Ephesians 6:10), KAYO members demonstrated spiritual strength through practical stewardship—taking action to nurture the environment as a reflection of our faith and responsibility to God’s creation. Each tree planted symbolizes growth, resilience, and our collective commitment to a sustainable and God-honoring future.

Together, we stand firm in the Lord—rooted in faith, growing in purpose, and bearing fruit for generations to come. 🌳

Yesterday, team KAYO joined ALUPE ARCHDEACONRY for their Merry go round programme hosted by Alupe Parish,
The visiting Archdeaconaries were, Chamasiri, Kabkara, Katakwa, Amagoro and Machakusi. These Archdeaconaries were represented by 14 members.
During the fellowship, the youth were reminded of the following;
1. We are witnesses of Christ.
As a witness, our duty is to defend our Faith in Him and testify to others that indeed He is good. Let our conduct therefore speak for our Faith. We should always be guided by the fact that we are the Salt of the earth and the light of the world. Let's make Christianity tasty to everyone that has not yet received Christ. Let our actions bring light to others. Let people see what [the good ] they can't see in other places outside salvation

2. Build and strengthen our prayer life
Prayer is the most appropriate way of communicating with God. Through prayer we shall be able to make our desires and petitions known to God. We were therefore encouraged by Lay Canon Ezekiel Otieno that we should fight on our knees as nations are warring against each other

3. We do not fill the Gaps, God does,
We as young people are being prepared by God to fill the gaps we are seeing. We should move from complaining to focusing on what the will of God is in the gaps He has made us identify.

4. Relationships
The Archdeaconry Chairperson and the Diocesan youth Secretary encouraged the young people to 'walk in light' The youth were encouraged to make their relationship status known so that proper guidance may be offered.
The Diocesan youth leader, who was the hosting chairpersons Discouraged the youth from engaging in unhealthy sexual relationships which deters the team from achieving its goal of ensuring that every youth is empowered spiritually, economically and socially.

May God Bless Kenya Anglican Youth Organization - KAYO Katakwa Diocese

Shalom,
I hope that you're are doing well in Christ Jesus
Yesterday, 8th August, 2024, Alupe Archdeaconry KAYO had an exchange program with brothers and sisters from KATAKWA and CHAMASIRI ARCHDEACONARIES during their ARCHDEACONRY KAYO MERRY GO ROUND. I want to appreciate the team for propelling the spirit of unity amongst KAYO. It is my wish that we adopt this at our various levels (either Archdeaconry or parish).
During the exchange program,the KAYO Secretary challenged us and gave various insights on how we can make our program better.
The ladies' Rep, Sis. Terry gave words of encouragement to the ladies. Guiding them on how to conduct themselves around the servants of God and the elderly. She insisted that they should respect other people's marriages at one time, they will also have theirs' respected.
Spiurin from Chamasiri Archdeaconry, encouraged the young people on matters, ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT and IGAs.

Regards
Isaac Angulo
