The Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (FMM) founded by Mary of the Passion with the vision of universal mission has been serving in Kenya for the last 29 years. During this productive period, they have served the church and society in a significant way in the Province of East Africa. The Region inspired by its leadership supported by its followership, all members have prayed, discussed and discerned
together the Life Giving Direction of the Region. This was with the purpose of implementing one of the Provincial Chapter objectives of developing a clear vision of the Region’s mission priorities in order to respond to new calls with freedom in the fast changing and challenging world. In collaboration with the Universal Church and other Christian religious institutions, the FMM with a unique charism envisions a dynamic self sustaining region in the Kenyan society living gospel values. With its mission to evangelize as Franciscans, the Region has 5 key priorities to fully live their Franciscan lives in life giving communities with the key goal to increase in their membership in a sustainable manner in their giftedness of diversity.
