What our schools urgently need is a Bridging Intergenerational Gaps Value-Based Curriculum.
The increasing cases of school unrest and the burning of schools are a wake-up call to parents, educators, faith communities, and policymakers. Education must go beyond academic excellence and intentionally cultivate values, identity, character, purpose, and responsible citizenship.
Through Seasoned Assignment Ministry International (SAMI), we believe that bridging the intergenerational gaps is key to restoring families, schools, churches, and communities. A generation struggling with identity and lacking moral and spiritual foundations, no matter how intellectually advanced, can become vulnerable to confusion, violence, and destructive behaviors.
It is time to strengthen mentorship and reinstate platforms that nurtured character and spiritual growth, including Christian Unions, weekend challenges, and intergenerational mentorship programs. Some challenges are not merely intellectual or social—they are also spiritual. Spiritual problems require spiritual solutions, alongside sound counseling, education, and community support.
Our children need more than information; they need transformation. They need parents, teachers, mentors, pastors, and communities working together to intentionally pass on values and wisdom from one generation to another.
