The Consolata Parish Self Help group in Westlands, Nairobi encourages any person who is over 18 years of age and who would like to put over his savings for future use to join the group. “This is also an opportunity for those in need of improving their lives through loans. The savings are as little as Ksh.100 per month. Our offices are open every weekday from 8.00AM to 5.00PM and from 8.00AM to 12.

We give loans to active members who have been in the group for a period of over six months. The loans are at an interest rate of 1% on reducing balance per months. Loan repayments are as per self help group guidelines but members are given a period of one to thirty months to repay the loans. The group is improving its operations to serve the members more efficiently. It has introduced loans which take a maximum of three days to process. This has become more popular. The integrity of the staff has improved customer relations in a big way. This is enhanced by neumerous training done by the capacity building programme in Caritus MF Bank, Nairobi.
