Church Attendance

Every Christian will be accounted for. God does this through your Pastor and your local Church. It is one of the most sacred responsibilities a Pastor carries, and one of the most serious realities a member must understand.

Hebrews 13:17
"Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief."

Your Pastor will stand before God one day and give an account of your life, the way Jesus gave account of those given to Him.

John 17:12
"...those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition."

Jesus accounted for every one of them, including Judas. Notice, He was not accountable for the crowd that merely followed Him around or the disciples of the Pharisees. He was accountable only for those who had submitted their lives to Him.

That is the pattern. Your Pastor is not responsible for everyone who visits, comments, or shows up occasionally. He is responsible for those who have deliberately submitted to his leadership through regular presence and commitment.

If you are not planted anywhere, who will give account for you? You cannot account for your own soul before God. That is not how the design works.

Judas is the warning in this chapter. He didn't betray Jesus overnight. It started small. Missing a gathering here. Ignoring an instruction there. Excusing one offence, then another. The same Pastor discipled him as the others, the same teaching, the same anointing, yet look at how differently he ended, because he refused to be properly shepherded.

Church members who resist commitment and cooperation with leadership are walking the same road Judas walked, whether they realize it or not.

Hebrews 13:17 ends with a warning most people skip past: doing this "with grief" is unprofitable for you. Not for your Pastor. For you.

So the question is not whether you will be accounted for. You will. The question is whether your Pastor gives that account with joy, or with grief.

Get planted. Stay committed. Submit to the leadership God has placed over you. Let the account given for your life be one of joy.

Thursday 18th June, as from 9am in Kayole near Stepper stage we will be gathering at The Living Grace Pentecostal Church for the memorial service of Rev. MILAN JOSEPH OUMA. THERE AFTER THE BODY WILL BE LIVING TO BUSIA FOR BURIAL ON THE 20TH AT HIS RURAL HOME 😭😭😭😭
