Peter only saw the Messiah as the embodiment of power and strength, instead of a suffering servant. A moment before, Peter spoke as a messenger of God, he then spoke as a messenger of Satan. Jesus knew there was a satanic purpose in discouraging Him from His ministry on the cross, He rebuked Peter because He would not allow satanic purpose to succeed. Since the cross was the grace of God for the salvation of mankind.
God has given us a ministry, but sometimes the ministry is not easy,it comes through hardships.
As you pray, ask the Lord to reveal to you where self has taken over the things of God.

The devil comes when you start moving towards your destiny, this is a time when you may feel desperate like Jairus whose child was at the point of death.
He had no option but to come to Jesus . When you get to a point of desperation, don't give up, don't abort your dreams, carry it to the end.For desperation, paves the way to devine encounters with the power of God.

The prodigal son came to his senses and went back to the father, you only need to desire to come back to your Father who cares for you.
