THE PATHWAY TO VICTORY

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end is the way of death." (Prov 14:12)

Many of our troubles occur because we base our life choices on unreliable authorities, such as:

1. Culture: Everybody is doing it. (Rom 12:2 TM) "Don’t become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without…thinking."

2. Tradition: We have always done it this way. (Lk 5:38) "New wine must be put into new wineskins."

3. Reason: It seems logical. (Prov 3:5-6) "Lean not to your own understanding."

4. Emotions: It just feels right. How can it be wrong when it feels so good?

All these are flawed because they come from within us and around us, but not from God. What we need is a perfect standard that will never lead us in a wrong direction.

The Word will never mislead us! (Jam 1:25) "But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty (the WORD of God) and continues in it and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does." (Psalm 37:4-5) "Delight yourself also in the Lord, trust also in Him (our Part) and He shall bring it to pass (God’s part). Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him (our part), and He shall bring it to pass (God’s part)."

Commit Your Way To The Lord

1. Commitment is a function of faith. Like a child who leaps off the top bunk into daddy’s arms. Once they have committed to the jump, there is no going back to the safety of the bunk. But they do it because they totally trust their father. We need to trust the Father’s arms! (Mk 10:15-16)

2. Commitment is the place where the biggest battles are fought. Moses sent twelve tribal leaders of Israel into the Promised Land to spy it out and bring back a report. Ten came back with an evil report and two came back with a good report. Ten focused on the problem and two focused on God’s promise. "As you have spoken in My ears, so I will do to you." (Num 14:28)

3. Commitment is the place of separation: The Ten and the Two! Your commitment to anything will always separate you from those who aren’t prepared to commit. Eventually you will part ways with those who just won’t put their money where their mouth is.

4. Commitment is the place were God reveals Himself. (Dan 3: 12-30) Daniel’s three friends answered the king and said, “If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from your hand, but if not let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the golden image which you have set up.” They were bound and thrown into the fiery furnace. Later Nebuchadnezzar said, “Did not we cast in three men bound into the midst of the fire? Look and now I see four men loose, walking amid the fire and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

When you stand up for Jesus, He will show up for you!

Yours for the Victory in 2024!

He Is Coming - Ready Or Not!!

“The disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age? “And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places [environmental and pollution problems]. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” (Matt 24:3-8)

Know this, we are living in the time of the Beginning of Sorrows!

We must live ready to meet Him at any moment! “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise [of His return], as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Pet 3:9)

The rapture or catching away of the Church could happen at any time, no signs are needed!
Revelation 4:1 “After these things (the church age) I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

From this passage of scripture, we see the Church being taken from earth to heaven and it is not seen again on earth, until Christ returns with His church in Revelation 19.

Heb 11:5 “By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death and was not found because God had taken him, for before he was taken [raptured] he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”

Enoch was a foreshadow of the end-time rapture! Enoch was raptured before God destroyed the earth the first time with a flood, because all flesh had corrupted their way. (Gen 5:24, 6:11-12.)

What does this mean to us? “We should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (Titus 2:12-13)

1 Thes 4:16-17 “The dead in Christ will rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall always be with the Lord.”

Five things we can do to please God and be ready to meet Him in the air:
1. Recognize how fragile and temporal this life is. (James 4:13-14)
2. Receive Christ as Lord and Savior and live for Him now.
3. Stay connected to Christ, His Word, and His Church. This is your source of power.
4. If you fall into sin, be quick to repent, get back up and go on with God.
5. “Occupy [do business] till I come.” Win souls, cast out devils, heal the sick. (Luke 19:13).

Even so, Come, Lord Jesus!

It's with deep sorrow that I report the promotion to glory of the Victory Churches International national leader for Uganda, pastor Michael Dakitali. He fell ill suddenly earlier this week when he started coughing. He passed away today morning from COVID-19. He is in paradise now with Jesus. Let's continue praying for his family that God will comfort them. Uganda is under a 42-day lockdown as there's a new wave of Covid-19 infections. Pastor Dakitali was one of the most selfless leaders I have come across. He thought of others and prioritized their needs before his own. He served God selflessly and always had a heart for the needy, the hungry, and the orphaned. A true servant of God indeed. It was a pleasure knowing him as a friend and a colleague in God's vineyard. Greatly missed. Heaven has once again received another petal from God's vineyard. Innocent Mwangi, VCI Africa Overseer

Dear Brethren,

I trust you are all doing great despite the challenges of 2020. As 2021 begins, at Victory Churches, we always start the year with prayer and fasting. You can pick the dates for your nation between 2nd and 25 January and also select your mode of prayer and fasting as per the attached guidelines.

In 2021 and beyond, I want us to revive the Victory Vision in Africa. I'm trusting God for more engagement with you and your country. I hope to meet with you soon so we can lay out strategies for growing the Victory Movement in your nation.

I believe we are standing on the precipice of an unprecedented revival in Africa, and 2021 will lay the foundation for that revival. I believe Victory Churches of Africa will have a great impact in 2021 and beyond. That impact will be borne out of prayer and fasting.

Let's pray for one another and for each nation where Victory Churches International operates. Specifically, remember Rwanda, DRC, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia, Kenya, and South Sudan where we currently operate in Africa.

Let us also trust God to help us expand into the more than 40 nations in Africa where we are yet to plant churches.
