THE PRACTICE OF HONOUR - THE HIGHWAY TO AN ABUNDANT LIFE 🗝️

2 Kings 4:8-17 | Isaiah 58:10-14 | 1 Samuel 2:30 "I will honor those who honor me"

HONOUR IS RELATIONAL AND IT CARRIES DYNAMIC POWER!

The grace you receive is determined by the honour you give. It's a KEY!

WHAT IS HONOUR?

Dishonour is to treat as common, ordinary, or to take lightly.
But Honour is HIGH RESPECT - holding someone with great esteem.

-Respect acknowledges a person's POSITION, but Honour attaches WORTH to a person.

To honour is to:
1. Understand / Weigh the value of a person
2. Express that value appropriately

SOME BENEFITS OF HONOUR - It's like a seed:

1. You receive the same measure from God
1 Sam 2:30 - I will honour those who honour me.

2. Long Life and Well-being
Ephesians 6:2 - Honour your father and mother to enjoy life.

3. Financial Provision and Overflow
Proverbs 3:9 - Honour God with your first and best, and your barns will burst with new w**e.

4. Wealth and a Satisfying Life
Proverbs 22:4 - The payoff for honouring God is wealth, honour and a satisfying life.

5. Release of Miracles and Power
Mark 6:4 - A Prophet is without honour... and He could do no mighty work there. Where there is no honour, the flow of miracles is blocked!

OBSTACLES TO HONOUR - What stops us from honouring?

1. Offence and Past Wounds- You struggle to honour because you are still wounded.
2. Over-Familiarity - "Friends are equals, I can't receive from him." Familiarity kills honour.
3. Pride and Rebellion- Believing you are better or equal to everyone. You can't be told, you defy order.
4. Looking for Perfection - Looking for a perfect church, perfect pastor. You will never honour.
5. The Equal Mentality - We may be equal, but we may NOT be grace mates!

Check your heart today. Who do you need to honour?

ESSENTIALS OF MINISTRY

THE POWER OF GODLY COMPANIONSHIP & ACCOUNTABILITY 🤝🔥

📖 _Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 | Galatians 6:1-2 | Proverbs 27:17 | Jude 1:28_

Topic: Creating a culture of accountability as a way to sustain you in ministry.

We were never meant to do life and ministry alone!

WHAT IS ACCOUNTABILITY?

Dictionary: An obligation to accept responsibility and be willing to explain your actions.

Kingdom definition: The attitude and practice of willing individuals to take responsibility for themselves and to communicate with others about their choices and behaviour so that they can show their integrity and grow in maturity.

Why is it so important?

Because LIFE IS TOO TOUGH TO ATTEMPT TO CONQUER IT ALONE.

We all need someone to get us through the challenges of life. Sometimes what gets us through is not a sermon, but just having a FRIEND there for us.

THE BENEFIT OF HAVING OTHERS - Ecc 4:9-12

1. PRODUCTIVITY (Vs 9): They have a good reward for their toil.
A companion increases productivity! Two are better than one.

2. COMPANIONSHIP (Vs 10): If they fall, one will lift up his fellow.
You need someone who will lift you when you fall, not celebrate your fall.

3. WARMTH (Vs 11): If they lie together, they keep warm.
When your spiritual temperature is high, you will not be easily distracted. Your circle keeps your fire burning!

4. STRONG DEFENCE (Vs 12): Though one may be overpowered, two can withstand him.
You will overcome many mistakes and challenges when you have people standing with you.

FINAL TRUTH:

Godly accountability is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL for those who hope to become what God has created them to be. It is the most valuable aspect of spiritual life.

We ALL need it. Therefore, become INTENTIONAL, DECISIVE & THOUGHTFUL in developing a culture of Godly accountability!

Don't wait until you fall. Build your circle before the battle comes.

COMPARISON & COMPETITION continuation
🏁 RUN YOUR OWN RACE! 🏁
GODLINESS AND CONTENTMENT

To minister is to serve on behalf of Jesus. Ministering is settling into the will of God.

The greatest thing you can do is to know the will of God and purpose to achieve it!

📖 _Hebrews 12:1 - "...let us run with patience the race that is set before us"_

Each one of us has a SPECIFIC race marked for us.

Ask yourself: Do you know the race you are supposed to run?

1 Timothy 6:6 - Godliness with contentment is great gain.

God will not reward you for doing what He did NOT assign you!

Here is the trap of comparison:
When you give yourself into comparison, you will always find somebody who is better than you and somebody who is lesser than you.

When you meet the one lesser than you - PRIDE fills your heart.
When you meet the one better than you - INSECURITY fills your heart.

So how do we overcome it?

1. Focus on the task God has given YOU and refuse to compare yourself with others.
_Philippians 4:11_

2. Refuse to compete and compare. Instead, push others to become a better version of themselves!
_Hebrews 11_

3. Focus on what God has for YOU and how He is dealing with YOU.

4. Acknowledge that all ministers are under attack by the same enemy - the devil.We are on the same team!

5. Learn to lift up your fellow ministers in prayer.

CONCLUSION:
When you become content with who God has called you to be, you will be able to accomplish what God has called you to do!

Your lane is blessed. Stay in it!

🔥 THE FAITHFULNESS OF THE GOD OF ALL POSSIBILITIES!🔥

📖 “God is not a man, that He should lie…”— Numbers 23:19

There are moments when life makes us question, “Will God really do what He promised?”

But remember this: God’s character has never changed! 🙏

What He says, He is able to accomplish.
What He promises, He is faithful to fulfill.
What He begins, He is able to complete! 🔥

✨ WHY CAN WE TRUST GOD?

1️⃣ He is faithful to His character.
God has integrity. He does not lie, manipulate, or make empty promises. If He said it, He will do it!

2️⃣ He is faithful to His Word. 📖
His Word never returns empty. What God has spoken carries the power to accomplish His purpose.

3️⃣ He is faithful to His promises.🤲
What God promised Abraham, He fulfilled—even when the circumstances looked impossible.

4️⃣ He is faithful to His people. ❤️
People may forget you. People may change. But God will never abandon His own.

5️⃣ He is faithful to His plan and purpose for your life. 🌟
“I know the plans I have for you…”— Jeremiah 29:11

Your current situation is NOT the final chapter.
Your delay is NOT denial.
Your impossibility is NOT too difficult for God!

🔥 THE GOD WHO MADE A PROMISE IS THE GOD WHO HAS THE POWER TO FULFILL IT!

Never try to live life entirely on your own strength. Trust His character. Trust His Word. Trust His promises. Trust His plan.

Even when you cannot see the way forward, God is already ahead of you.🙌

“I TRUST THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD. WHAT HE HAS SPOKEN OVER MY LIFE SHALL COME TO PASS!” 🔥

Theme: THE PLACE OF RESILIENT HOPE

📖 _Luke 8:43-48 | Mark 5:24-34 | 1st Samuel 17:22-48 | Mark 11:23_

Yesterday I learnt something powerful: Seeing triggers us to receive.

But before you see, you must have HOPE.

What is HOPE?
Hope is not just wishing.
- It's the feeling or desire of wanting something to happen.
- It's a strong wish / trust for the future.
- It's to want and expect good results.
- It's a strong belief that a good thing will happen.

And resilient hope is not just passive or wishful thinking!

QUALITIES OF RESILIENT HOPE

1. ACTIVE WILL
Resilient hope is a personal choice. Nobody will choose it for you. You must decide to hope again no matter what happened yesterday.

2. A CLEAR PATHWAY
This kind of hope keeps going no matter the challenges and disappointments. It doesn’t quit.
Remember: YOU are the custodian of your greatness.

3. DEEP, UNWAVERING, UNSHAKABLE TRUST
People with resilient hope walk by the promises of God, not by what they see. (Mark 11:23)

4. REALISTIC VISION
They refuse to surrender to negative results. They see beyond the report, beyond the pain, beyond Goliath.

Because the Bible says: "They that know their God shall do exploits."

No matter what you are going through, keep your hope alive. God is still the God of all possibilities!

What a mighty God we serve!

As a part of CCI East City Gate Diocese, I want to take this moment to give all glory to God for the success of our BREAKING LIMITATIONS CONFERENCE - 17th to 20th August 2026!

It was not just a conference, it was an encounter. Chains were broken. Limits were shattered. Faith was lifted. God truly showed up!

LIMITATIONS ARE BROKEN! 💥

Teachings:Manner of Ministry

Ministry Is....Being Content Instead of Being Competitive 🙏
_John 21:17-22 | 2 Cor 10:1-13_

Jesus had just recommissioned Peter: “Feed My sheep.”
Then He warned him of the cost and said, “Follow Me.”

But Peter turned around and asked, _“Lord—what about him?”_ (John 21:21)

Jesus’ response was firm:
“If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? As for you, follow Me.” (John 21:22)

That one sentence exposed something we all struggle with: *comparison*.

The REALITY
Comparison and competition didn’t start today. Even in Paul’s time, some were preaching out of a competitive spirit while others served from pure motives. _Phil 1:15-17_
If their ministry is bigger we envy. If ours is bigger we get proud. Both are sickening and sinful.

The REMEDY
“To love is to stop comparing.”
You cannot have a heart full of love and still be envious or critical at the same time.
The Bible calls us to:
- _Love does not envy._ (1 Cor 13:4)
- _Outdo one another in showing honor._ (Rom 12:10)
- _Serve one another through love._ (Gal 5:13)
- _Be at peace among yourselves._ (1 Thess 5:12-13)

The RESULT of Comparison
Comparison comes from insecurity. Competition comes from pride.
Together they become a cancer in the body of Christ.
They waste time, spread rumors, cause hurt, and distract us from the people who are hungry and needy.

Jesus is saying to us today: “I am your God. I am your Savior. Keep your eyes on Me and focus on my perfect and loving will for your life.”

A Minister’s Life Verse
_“Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”_ (1 Cor 15:58)

Be steadfast = Stay in God’s will. Don’t move.
Always excelling = Work hard, pray hard, grow hard.

Ministry is about settling into the will of God and working as hard as _you_ can.
Without comparing. Without competing.

THE POWER OF SEEING ALL POSSIBILITIES 👀✨
_Mark 9:23-24
2 Kings 2:1-14
Jeremiah 1:11-12

God is asking you today: "What do you SEE?"

SEEING IS RECEIVING.
If I can SEE it, then I can HAVE it.
But this kind of seeing is not with our naked eye — it’s with our INNER SELF. The naked eye builds barriers and says "this is all there is." The inner eye sees possibilities.

3 TRUTHS I LEARNED:
1. Everything must be born in the SEEING realm first before it appears in the physical.
Your dream, your breakthrough, your palace — it starts with a vision. We serve the God of ALL POSSIBILITIES.

2. Don’t settle. Don’t give up because the solution looks too complicated. Build yourself into meeting God.
_“With God, ALL things are possible to them that believe.”_

3. Dream BIG.No one will arrest you for dreaming big.
Keep dreaming beyond your current situation. There’s a group of people who refuse to succumb to negativity, fear, and comfort — and I pray you be one of them.

THE TRAITS OF THOSE WHO WILL DREAM BIG:
1. The Tired Ones- Like Mark 5:26. Those who’ve tried everything and now turn their eyes to God to do the impossible.
2. The Focused Ones - Like Elisha in (2 Kings 2:5). Nothing could distract him from his goal.
3. The Risk Takers - Like the 4 lepers in (2 Kings) 7. They chose breakthrough over fear and stagnation.
4. The Faith Steppers - Like Esther, the woman with the issue of blood. Faith only manifests when put into ACTION.

God is waiting for us to rise to His nature of creation so He can perform.
Don’t let "good" be the enemy of "God’s best" for your life.

Step into the unknown. Confront discouragement. And meet God’s grace there.

_May the Lord give you a dream that will take you where He intends you to be — things no eye has seen, no ear has heard._ 🙏
