We at times desire and seek to know hidden things and have the privilege of knowing information not publicly available to many for one reason or the other. In the same breadth, as seen in this passage, the prophets of old, and even heavenly beings, sought to know the hidden riches of the gospel which Christ only made available to us, making us to have such a great privilege. What do you desire? This is the question that is present in this passage in Amos 8 where the Israelites' evil pursuits contradicted with God's holy law. They eventually saw His commands as obstacles against their wicked ways and desired to get rid of them so that they may continue sinning. Pastor John Musyimi, in this sermon, seeks to show us that, just like the Israelites of old in Amos' day, God forsakers will become God forsaken!
