The misuse of something doesn't make the original one Fake!!!
Anointing has been misused by the false prophets making it look evil..
but looking at the bible..
Anointing oil was used to consecrate things and to install priests and kings in the office...

In the NT the dicsiples anointed and healed the sick in Mark 6.13
