SATURDAY EVENING PRAYER
Almighty and eternal God we praise you,
Almighty and eternal God we bless you,
For many are the blessings you have bestowed upon us,
And many more are the blessings that you hold in store for us,
Merciful God we humbly ask for healing and forgiveness,
For we have sinned and fallen due to weakness,
Be our strength and restoration,
Be our light and our direction,
Do not leave us in the mud of hatred,
O Lord cleanse us in the waters of your love,
Do not leave us in the mud of vengeance,
O Lord cleanse us in the waters of reconciliation,
Do not leave us in the mud of anger,
O Lord cleanse us in the waters of your peace,
Many are ailing and many more are grieving,
O Lord flood their hearts with your healing and comfort,
And keep us safe for the joy of eternal gladness,
In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,
AMEN
