Holy Cross Family Ministries_Kenya

Holy Cross Family Ministries_Kenya Holy Cross Family Ministries, was founded by a Holy Cross Priest called Fr. Patrick Peyton CSC born in 1909. This was in 1942. Kenya is one of these countries.

Holy Cross Family Ministries is an international catholic apostolate under the congregation of Holy Cross whose core mission is to educate families about the power promise and practise of family prayer especially the Family Rosary It was after he had suffered an acute tuberculosis disease a year before he got ordained. While in hospital and with all efforts to cure his illness seemingly failing, t

he doctors offered him two options to risk a surgery, which presented him a small ability to survive, or Try Prayer with hope that it might work for him because of his deep spiritual and prayer life! In the wake of his despair, he had but one choice to make as a believer: Try Prayer! In this choice, he made a promise to his beloved mother Mary that, "If you mother heal me from my illness, i will make sure that your name is praised throughout all the world". And indeed, miraculously Patrick Peyton CSC got healed and ordained in 1941 at NotreDame. Because he had a great inspiration for prayer from his own family, where they met together every night to pray the Rosary in turns, he came to believe that indeed, "The Family that Prays together, Stays together!" and that "The powerful tool is in our hands!" This is but the Rosary. He believed that if families always gave only fifteen minutes to pray together, there will be a lot of peace and love in every home. To promote this belief, Patrick Peyton CSC always distributed rosaries to every person and people he met. Convinced priests, bishops and family units about his passion through Rosary Crusades. Through them he founded Family Rosary which is the original name of Holy Cross Family Ministries. In 1947, he founded the Family theatre Productions in HollyWood. This was channel to reach out to the modern and contemporary family. As our MISSION, We are a family of Catholic Ministries that inspires, promotes and fosters the spiritual well-being of families throughout the world. Our world is the small christian communities, the parish centers, parishes, deaneries and dioceses and archdioceses of the Catholic Church! As a family of Catholic Ministries, Our VISION is to Strive to be a respected and reliable catalyst for inspiration, support and dynamic content on family life through a focus on spirituality and prayer especially the Rosary! we believe that the Rosary is the powerful tool in our hands to promote the true spirit of family prayer. Today Holy Cross Family Ministries, is filled with passion to help many families to pray together, to pray better, to pray more in 17 countries in the world. Mary always leads us closer to her Son. As we place our lives, families, joys, and struggles in her hands, may she guide us ever more deeply into the heart of Jesus.

Let us walk with Mary, pray with Mary, and live with our hearts centered on Christ.

For four impactful days, teenagers at Holy Cross Catholic Parish Dandora came together for a meaningful Teenage Mentorship Program focused on discovering their identity, building confidence, strengthening their faith, and understanding their purpose.

Through mentorship, engaging conversations, activities, and reflection, the teens were encouraged to recognize their God-given worth, face their fears with courage, and discover how their gifts and talents can be used to serve others.

When teenagers know their worth, they are better equipped to overcome their fears, make positive choices, and live with purpose.
We are grateful for every teen who showed up, participated, shared, learned, and grew throughout these four days.

Marys life reminds us that faith is not about having all the answers it is about trusting God even when the path is unclear. May we learn from Mary to surrender our lives to God and faithfully live out our own “yes” to Him.

We gathered to celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary a beautiful reminder of Mary’s faithful journey with God and the heavenly glory that awaits those who remain faithful to Him.

Our celebration was marked by procession as we walked together in honour of Our Blessed Mother, entrusting our families, our lives, and our intentions to her loving intercession.
We were also blessed with enriching teachings by Fr. Raphael, who helped us reflect more deeply on the meaning of Mary’s Assumption and the lessons her life of faith, humility, obedience, and total surrender to God offers us.
The celebration culminated in Holy Mass, where we gathered around the altar to give thanks to God and celebrate the gift of Mary, our Mother and model of discipleship. Through the Eucharist, we were reminded to keep our eyes fixed on Christ and to follow Mary’s example of saying “yes” to God.

Today the Gospel reminds us that God’s mercy and salvation are offered to all.
The Canaanite woman’s unwavering faith shows us that no matter who we are or where we come from, we can approach Jesus with trust and humility. Her persistence was rewarded when Jesus said, “Woman, great is your faith!” (Matthew 15:28).
May we never give up in prayer, and may our faith lead us to trust in God’s mercy for ourselves, our families, and others.

Lord, strengthen our faith and help us trust in Your saving love.
