Reflection: The Mind of Christ
*1 Corinthians 2:15–16 (NIV)*
This Sunday at **Kapu Chapel**, under the teaching of **Rev. C.I.F.N. Muraya**, we reflect on a powerful truth from 1 Corinthians 2:15–16:
“The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments… ‘For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.”
the Mind of Christ
In a world full of noise, opinions, and confusion, the Apostle Paul reminds us that believers are not guided by human wisdom alone. We are called to operate from a higher perspective — the mind of Christ.
Having the mind of Christ means:
* Seeing situations through the lens of God’s truth
* Responding with wisdom rather than impulse
* Choosing humility over pride
* Walking in discernment rather than confusion
It is not about intellectual superiority; it is about spiritual sensitivity. It is about allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our thoughts, attitudes, and decisions.
Discernment in Today’s World
Paul makes it clear that spiritual matters are spiritually discerned. The person who walks with the Spirit evaluates life differently. Where others see defeat, we see purpose. Where others react with anger, we respond with grace. Where others operate in fear, we move in faith.
The mind of Christ transforms:
* Our relationships
* Our leadership
* Our service
* Our daily choices
It calls us to maturity. It calls us to responsibility. It calls us to reflect Christ in our homes, our workplaces, and our communities.
It Out
To develop the mind of Christ:
1. Stay rooted in Scripture.
2. Pray consistently for guidance and clarity.
3. Guard your thoughts intentionally.
4. Surround yourself with Spirit-filled fellowship.
When we allow Christ to shape our thinking, our lives begin to reflect His character compassion, truth, justice, and love.
Call for This Sunday
As we gather in worship, let us ask ourselves:
* Are my thoughts aligned with Christ?
* Do my decisions reflect His wisdom?
* Am I growing in spiritual discernment?
The promise is powerful: *We have the mind of Christ.*
This is not future tense. It is present reality for those who walk in Him.
May this Sunday be a moment of renewal — a time to surrender our thinking, our judgments, and our perspectives to God.
Let us rise above human reasoning and walk boldly in the wisdom of Christ.
Blessed Sunday.
