Even when I walk through the darkest valley.I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me . This is assurance from God through His Word. Even during life's darkest times,most dangerous trials,as believers we need not to fear because God 's presence is within us and brings comfort assuring us that we are not alone in our trials.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
Hebrews 11:9-10
And even when he reached the Land God promised him, he lived there by faith for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob who inherited the same promise. Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundation a city designed and built by God.
Even though Abraham lived a lifestyle of nomadic, his faith and focus was on the future, eternal city not earthly possession. He was looking beyond the temporal.But the city of the living God, because wherever God reigns there is peace, security and love.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
1 Chronicles 21:24.
But king David replied to Araunah No I insist on paying the full price. I will not take for the Lord what is your or sacrifice,burnt offering that costs me nothing.
Giving to God what costs you nothing does not demonstrate commitment.
When king David wanted to buy Araunah's Land to build an altar. Araunah generously offered it as gift. But king David refused saying,I will not take for the Lord what is your or sacrifice,a burnt offering that costs me nothing. To give sacrificially requires yourself, your time and money . Even though God wants us to give voluntarily, but our commitment matters a lot in the kingdom of God.

The whole of life is divided into two parts.

There are things God has kept secret, that you do not know and you do not understand and things that God has revealed,He has entrusted to you. Obedience is better than sacrifice.

THE WORD OF THE NEW YEAR 2024.
Deuteronomy 12:2-3
Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains and on the hills and under every spreading tree where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods. Break down their altars,smash their scared stones and burn their Asherah poles in the fire, cut-down the idols of their gods and wipe out their names from those places.
When talking over a nation, the Israelites were supposed to destroy every pagan altars and idols in the land. God knew it would be easy for them to change their beliefs if they started using those altars,so nothing wasn't to remain that might tempt them to worship idols.
We too as Christians should ruthlessly find and remove any centers of false worship in our lives. These may be activities, attitudes, possession, relationship, places or habits anything that tempts us to turn our hearts from God and to start doing things that doesn't please God.Israel learned that lesson.As believers,we should never flaller ourselves by thinking we are too strong to be tempted.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
1 Peter 2:9-10.
But you are a chosen nation,a royal priesthood,a holy nation,a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people, you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
Every colour, every nation, every age and every generation. We are the family of God. We are not the world. We may be mistreated and misunderstood but we are the people of God .The gospel of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is preached in every nation globally. And our core message has stood the test of time. The world may make fun of us to our face, but our gospel is still its only cure. They may paint us, but our peace is what the world long for. They may dismiss us as unimportant, but our love will never die .

Wisdom through the word of God.
Proverbs 22:15.
Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, The rod of discipline will remove it far from him.
I believe if parents will use the tongue of righteousness for correcting their children , when they are growing up,they will never end up making unwise decisions in life . Paul says
(2 Timothy 3:14-15 ) But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed, knowing those from whom you learned, and that from childhood you have known the sacred Scriptures, which are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
The bible says, Your commands are always with me and makes me wiser than my enemies. Psalms 119:98.
