When the disciples went out in twos and did miracles, Judas was also there.
When they cast out demons - Judas cast out demons.
When they healed the sick - Judas healed the sick.
When they cleansed lepers - Judas cleansed lepers.
Judas was a genuine disciple, his heart was right and he moved in the authentic power of the Lord.
The fact that his heart got defiled and he later betrayed Jesus, the fact that he did not repent and he hung himself did not negate the work, the ministry or miracles done through him, in the name of the Lord. Demons did not return to those who were delivered by Judas. Leprosy did not return to those that he had cleansed. Diseases did not return to those that he healed. It is the name of Jesus and the power of God that delivered them... not the name of Judas or the power of Judas.
What is build on the rock, done in the Name of the Lord and based on the Word still stands EVEN WHEN THE MESSENGER FALLS!
If you are saved in the Name of Jesus, if your life: you victories, your faith, your walk, your family, your career, your business your worship is built on the Word of God, you need not tremble if you discover that your minister has gotten into error or sin. God has not gotten into error or sin, a man has.
God genuinely used them to impact and change your life, if they fall, please remember that GOD HAS NOT FALLEN. The man is just a vessel but the true power is Christ. If your minister goes on a tangent, don't go on the tangent with them but also, don't think that it negates the genuine encounters, experiences, impartations, growth and transformation that happened in your life through them. The Word still stands.
In this day when more and more ministers will be exposed to be in error or in sin [judgement begins in God's house], do not let that shake your faith in God. Just make sure that you are building on the Word and not on a man. Even if the man may be shaken, your faith should not be shaken. You were saved and redeemed in the Name of Jesus, not of a man. If a man falls, don't fall with him. STAND and go on with God. Move to another church or ministry if need be but hold on to God.
If you discover that there are wrong doctrines and practices that you learnt from them, unlearn them, discard them and go on with the Truth of God's Word. Be determined NEVER to follow anything outside scripture. To only follow a man of God as He follows Christ.
Acts 1:25 - Show us which of these two you have chosen to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.
The church did not stop because of Judas's betrayal. They moved on and it is still going to date. If you think that the church will stop because a great man of God has fallen, you have elevated a man above the Lord.
