TOPIC: AUTHORITY WITH SECURITY.

SCRIPTURE: And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Ephesians 2:6

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The angels of the Lord are always on assignment for the defence of the saints.

From scripture we understand something very powerful: above only is our God-ordained place of existence. Deuteronomy 28:13 says, And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

In Matthew 5:14, we are called “a city set on a hill.” Not a village in a valley or a settlement in obscurity.

And in Ephesians 2:6, we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. The top is our place.

When God gives you authority, He gives you security. Even in the physical realm, the highest office in the land comes with the highest form of security. Authority comes with security.

Let us look at examples.

1. Abraham was defended by God

When Abimelech took Abraham’s wife, God intervened directly – Genesis 20:3.

2. Job was surrounded by a hedge of protection.

In Job 1:10, satan confessed: Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

3. Daniel – Angelic Intervention

My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

Daniel 6:22.

The angels of the Lord are always on assignment for the defence of the saints. Every trap set against Daniel was neutralized.

Psalm 124 declares:
“The snare is broken, and we are escaped.”

How to experience security

1. Live for God and His Kingdom

The ambassador enjoys immunity only if he represents his nation properly – Philippians 1:21

Live for His cause, purpose and represent Him well.

Daniel served God continually, and when danger came, God sent His angel to defend him.

2. Trust in God

Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Daniel 3:28.

If you must be delivered by God, you must have trust in Him. Faith moves God. Hebrews 11:6.

3.Follow That Which Is Good

And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

1 Peter 3:13

Be a good person, wish people well and do not plot anybody’s harm. Do not rejoice at another person’s downfall. Goodness attracts divine preservation.

4. Live Uprightly

He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

Isaiah 33:15–16.

Beloved, to walk in authority and security, you must dwell in the Presence of the Most High.

Remember This: The angels of the Lord are always on assignment for the defence of the saints.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for your Word to me today, Lord I receive the consciousness of divine security. Help me to live for You and trust in You, Lord in Jesus’ name.

1. Be a good representative of God anywhere you are.

2. Let the Word of God mold and shape you as His ambassador here on earth.

Life will try to convince you that peace is something you earn after the storm ends, but Jesus proved that peace is something you can carry in the middle of the storm. The world offers peace that depends on outcomes. Christ offers peace that depends on His presence.

TOPIC: THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS.

SCRIPTURE: Woe unto the world because of offenses: for it must needs be that offenses come; but woe to that man by whom the offense cometh
Matthew 18:7

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If God does not hear your prayer because of unforgiveness, He will not hear another person’s prayer on your behalf either.

Scripture makes us understand that offences must come. The only one who is not offended is the person in the grave. Words will be spoken carelessly; and actions will be misunderstood. To err is human, and so human beings will permanently err and offend. So, the first thing to settle in your heart is this: offences are inevitable.

Offence is a satanic trap for destruction and damnation. Offense is compulsory, but unforgiveness is optional. The devil uses offense as bait. When someone hurts you, the enemy waits to see whether you will swallow the hook of bitterness. And once bitterness enters, destruction begins quietly.

Now, let us see seven negative consequences of unforgiveness:

1. Iniquities Remain Unforgiven

Until you forgive, you are not forgiven. Whatever makes you hold the sins of others against them makes God hold your sins against you. That is serious! Unforgiveness locks the door of mercy from the inside – Mark 11:25.

2. Access to God in Prayer Is Hindered

Prayer does not function in an atmosphere of bitterness. You may be praying, fasting, sowing seeds, and attending church services faithfully, but heaven may seem silent. The question is: is there someone you have locked up in your heart? Is there someone whose name triggers pain and anger in your mind? If God does not hear your prayer because of unforgiveness, He will not hear another person’s prayer on your behalf either. Unforgiveness blocks spiritual access.
3. The Activity of Tormentors Is Invited

In Matthew 18:34–35, the servant who refused to forgive was delivered to tormentors. Unforgiveness invites torment. Some afflictions persist not because prayers are weak, but because bitterness is strong. Every time you keep someone imprisoned in your heart, you unknowingly give permission to tormenting spirits. There are sicknesses that will disappear without any special prayer if forgiveness is in place.

4. Access to Grace Is Hindered

Hebrews 12:15 speaks of bitterness causing a man to fail of the grace of God. Grace is what makes life flow with ease. Grace is the grease of life. Where grace is absent, struggle becomes normal. Unforgiveness removes grace and replaces it with strain. When bitterness grows, ease disappears.

5. Bitterness Is a Poison

Bitterness is not just spiritual; it affects the body. There is a connection between emotional conditions like irritation, frustration, and bitterness, and physical health conditions such as ulcers, migraines, hypertension, arthritis, and other undiagnosed pains. When a person forgives something shifts inside: the body relaxes, the heart softens and healing begins. Bitterness is a poison that first destroys the container that carries it. Many were defiled by bitterness – Hebrews 2:15.
6. Unforgiveness Has Eternal Consequences

Revelation 21:27 makes it clear that nothing that defiles will enter heaven. And 1John 3:14–15 equates hatred with murder. Bitterness is not a small matter. Eternity is at stake. No one enters heaven bearing grudges.

Beloved, there is power in forgiveness. The power and Presence of God are activated by forgiveness. The power of prayer is amplified by forgiveness. Eternity is secured by forgiveness.

Remember This: If God does not hear your prayer because of unforgiveness, He will not hear another person’s prayer on your behalf either.

PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. I receive grace to forgive from my heart. I receive grace to walk in forgiveness, Lord in Jesus Name.

ASSIGNMENT(S)
Today, identify anyone you have held in your heart. Mention their name before God and consciously release them. If possible, pray for them sincerely. Your restoration begins with your release.

We join hearts with many to thank God for your lives and for the beautiful example of commitment, unity, and devotion you have shown over the years.

We pray for many more seasons of joy and a continual refreshing of your union, in Jesus’ name.

TOPIC: DEFINING GODLY CHARACTER.

SCRIPTURE: And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men. Acts 24:16

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Godly character is a function of possessing a conscience that is void of offence towards God and towards men.

The subject of character means different things to different people. For some, character means living by a set of rules or regulations; for others, it is about good upbringing.

In our anchor Scripture, Paul the Apostle gave an insightful summary of what Godly Character is all about. In our study today, I will give a few definitions of godly character based on this and other Scriptural insights.

Now, what is godly character all about? It is about

1. Possessing a conscience that is void of offence towards God and towards men (Acts 24:16).
This is living in such a way that your conscience is clear both before God and before men. You are not living in a way to offend God or man. It gives you an effortless Godly character as a result. Godly character is a function of possessing a conscience that is void of offence towards God and towards men.

2. Character is a function of living in the fear of God (Job 1:1). That healthy fear of God that causes people to depart from evil is character.

Job feared God and eschewed evil; that was what made him a man of character. In Genesis 42:18, we see the life of Joseph where, He said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God:

The character of Joseph was a function of the fear of God.

Proverbs 8:13 says, The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

The meaning of that is, people of no character have no fear of God. A man recounted his experience in the kidnappers’ camp, and one of the kidnappers was telling him, “Look, I don’t fear God.” That is what makes that devil a devil.

3. Character is a function of living a life of love for both God and man (Romans 13:8).

This is a life of love for both God and man. Loving God and loving man means you don't intentionally hurt those around you. You don't deliberately or intentionally hate those you love. You love God, so you won't deliberately hurt Him.

Beloved, if you love people, you won't deliberately hurt them.

REMEMBER THIS: Godly character is a function of possessing a conscience that is void of offence towards God and towards men.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

1. Embrace Godly character for a successful earthly life and a glorious eternal destiny.
2. Stay close to the Presence and the Person of God. That will enhance your character

PRAYER: Father, I receive the grace to live in Godly character, and I receive deliverance from ungodly character. Baptize me with the willingness and zeal to live for You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
