A person may recommend a book, a speaker or a message that has deeply impacted their life. As they describe it, curiosity begins to grow and a desire is stirred to find out whether it is really as good as they claim. Yet after reading the book or listening to the speaker personally, one may discover that the experience is far richer than could ever have been fully explained by another person.

In today's passage, many Samaritans first came to Jesus because of the testimony of the woman at the well. Her words stirred their interest and prompted them to come and see for themselves. But after hearing Jesus personally, they declared the words in this passage. Their faith had moved to a personal conviction that Jesus is indeed the Savior of the world.

Testimonies can point the way, but lasting faith is strengthened when we hear His voice for ourselves.

Growing up, many children hear stories of the sacrifices their parents made. Long walks to school, scarce resources and countless hardships often marked their journey. Yet many parents endured those difficulties with a desire that their children would have opportunities they never had. As a result, the next generation often enjoys benefits built upon the labor and sacrifices of those who came before them.

In today's passage, Jesus reminds His disciples of this similar truth. The harvest they were about to enjoy was not solely the result of their own efforts. Others had labored before them, preparing hearts and laying foundations and now they were entering into that work. God's kingdom often advances this way. Some faithfully sow, others water and still others reap the harvest, but all are participating in the same work of God.

Today, may we be gratefull for those who have labored before us and may we also be willing to sow faithfully for those who will come after us.

Thank you to all the delegates who joined us for the FOCUS Pwani Region associates retreat!❤️

38 associates and 17 children gathered at Pebbles Residence, Diani, for an unforgettable retreat under the theme "Purposeful Christian Living."

Through inspiring sessions on purposeful marriage and family life, balancing life's responsibilities, and financial stewardship, the associates were challenged and equipped to live intentionally for God's glory.

One participant reflected, "Beyond the learning, we experienced something even more special, deeper fellowship, stronger friendships, meaningful networking, and a renewed sense of family. Together we laughed, learned, prayed, and grew."

We thank God for His faithfulness and for giving us a purposeful weekend with Pwani Associates!

Food is one of the most essential needs of every human being. A person may postpone many things, but eventually hunger will demand attention. Food nourishes the body, provides strength for the day, and enables one to carry out the tasks ahead. Without it, the body grows weak and weary.

In today's passage, the disciples return with food for Jesus, only to find Him speaking of a different kind of nourishment. When they wonder whether someone else has fed Him, Jesus explains that His food is to do the will of the Father and accomplish His work. What a remarkable statement. Just as food sustains the body, obedience to the Father's will was the very thing that sustained and satisfied Christ.

Today, may we desire to pursue the will of God with the same seriousness that we pursue our daily bread.

Thank you to all the delegates who joined us for the FOCUS North Rift Region Associates Retreat at Kitale Club💥

The Northrift retreat brought together 54 associates from Kapenguria, Eldoret, and Kitale for a meaningful gathering under the Theme “Healthy Minds for Strong Families.” The session emphasized the importance of balance, which is having stability through proper proportions between different aspects of life.

Associates reflected on the need to prioritize family, rest, and healthy financial lifestyles as they pursue work and career.

“There was a lot of discussion on how debts lead to a cycle of bo***ge which seriously hinders mental freedom. A big part of mental difficulty today comes from the pressure to live a life that one cannot afford, empowered by debts that one must pay. There was therefore strong encouragement for people to free themselves from all forms of bo***ge, including debts, by living within their means,” one of the participants shared.

We thank God for this platform that was very impactful to the associates involved and we hope this conversations continue beyond the retreat.

A family may treasure an old house because of the memories attached to it. Generations may have lived there, important events may have happened there, and over time the place itself can become deeply valued. Yet the true value was never in the building, but in the relationships and life that existed within it.

In today's passage, the Samaritan woman is concerned about the proper place of worship, pointing to the traditions handed down by her ancestors. Jesus responds by revealing that a new era has come. Worship is no longer centered on a particular mountain or location, but on the heart. The Father is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth, those whose worship is genuine, sincere and grounded in who He truly is.

Today, may worship not be reduced to a place, a routine or a tradition.
