Mark 6: 45-46
Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go to the other side, to Bethsaida while He sent the multitude away. And when he had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray.
We know the journey that Jesus made His disciples to undertake was not smooth, they encountered opposition because the enemy raised a rumble against them, the winds were contrary to them. The enemy was 1. opposing them, 2 Delaying them, 3 Causing them to fear, 4. causing them to start blaming their Lord 5. wanted to cause them to murmur.
Many times when we face opposition in life, we tend to think we are in the wrong. or get discouraged, fear or fret, or start blaming God that He left us, However, reading through the next portions of scripture, we realize that Jesus was praying on the mountain and He saw them straining in their rowing. But he continued to intercede until the 4th watch of the night.
**The enemy may cause winds of life to be contrary to you- We must remember that Jesus is there and He sees what is happening, We Must continue with the fight, continue resisting the contrary wind, because soon he comes, and declares Peace. We can also declare peace to our situations. Even as Jesus intercedes for us we MUST participate in the battle, because we are part of Him, He is the head we are His body. (So don't ask why cant He come immediately) He wants you to share in HIS victory. Philippians 4: 6-8-- Don t be anxious about anything, but in prayer, intercessions giving thanks in every situation, make your requests known to God (NOT MURMURING, FEARING, or BLAMING GOD) and the peace of the Lord will guard your hearts and minds.
