*FRUITS OF HIS OBEDIENCE .*

Friday, November 20th .
Pastor Chris

_*Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by therighteousness of one the free gift came upon all menunto justification of life (Romans 5:18).*_

Under the Old Testament, God’s blessings for the childrenof Israel were preconditioned on their obedience to theLaw. For example, God had desired that they walk as kings andpriests before Him, but their obedience was a prerequisite for the blessings to take effect in their lives. In Exodus 19:5-6, He said,_*“Now therefore, IF YE WILL OBEY MY VOICE INDEED, AND KEEP MY COVENANT, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above allpeople: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me akingdom of priests, and an holy nation....”*_

However, they broke His laws and couldn’t enjoy the fullness ofHis blessings and promises. But that isn’t the case with us today in the New Testament. Colossians 1:12 says, _*“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.”*_ We’ve been qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of light. We’re sharers and participants in the blessings and benefits of the Kingdom-life reserved for all of God’s saints. This didn’t happen by your obedience, but by Christ’s obedience (Romans 5:19).

Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law, and then abolished it. You’re the fruit of His obedience. By His obedience, God’s gift—His blessing of righteousness was bequeathed to you. Today, it’s no use trying to “obey” the Law for God to bless you; you were born blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).

Nowhere in the New Testament are we told to “obey” to beblessed; rather, we’re called His obedient ones (1 Peter 1:14). We’re described as having “obeyed” God’s Word of truth from the heart (Romans 6:17). So your blessings, your inheritance in Christ, are the results of Christ’s redemptive work in your behalf. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, I thank you for the realisation that my blessings arethe results of Christ’s redemptive work, and on who I am in Him.I’m an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ! In Christ, all yourpromises are fulfilled in my life, and I live in total satisfactionand fulfilment, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*||* *2 Peter 1:3-4* According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. *||*

*IT’S A WALK OF FAITH .*

Wednesday, November 18th .
Pastor Chris

_*For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians5:7).*_

Romans 9:8 says, _*“...They which are the children of theflesh, these are not the children of God....”*_ The children of the flesh are ruled by their senses. Instead of walking by faith, they’re controlled only by that which they can physically see, hear, touch, taste, or smell. But Christianity is a walk of faith; it’s life beyond the senses.

Spiritual realities can’t be perceived with human senses. This isthe reason the natural man doesn’t understand the things of theSpirit; they’re foolishness to him (1 Corinthians 2:14). Romans 9:8lets us know that the children of the flesh—those who are sense-ruled—are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. The children of the promise are thechildren of the Word.

Paul’s climactic submission in 2 Corinthians 5:7 AMPC is quiteprofound: He said, _*“For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respectingman’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holyfervour; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance”*_ Don’t live bysight or appearance; like those who say, “Seeing is believing,” no!That’s contrary to faith. Recall what Jesus said to Martha in John11:40. He said, _*“...if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest SEEthe glory of God.”*_ You believe to see; that’s faith.

Hebrews 11:1 (AMPC) says, _*“NOW FAITH is the assurance(the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction oftheir reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”*_ You can’t please God until you’ve learnt to apprehendand call real, things that your physical senses can’t perceive, but are revealed in God’s Word. That’s Christianity; it’s a walk of faith.

*CONFESSION*

*I respond to circumstances and situations only from the standpoint of faith, not according to sensory perceptions. Nowand always, I live from my spirit according to God’s Word, andI’m transfigured from glory to glory. Hallelujah!*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *2 Corinthians 4:16-18* For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal. *||*

*||* *Hebrews 11:6-12* But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as [in] a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God. 11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, [so many] as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. *||*

*HEIRS OF INEXHAUSTIBLE RICHES .*

Friday, November 13th .
Pastor Chris

_*Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among theGentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ (Ephesians3:8).*_

It makes no difference how and where you were born; nowthat you’re in Christ, you’re separated unto God and Hisglory. Poverty isn’t part of your life. When you understand this and discover who you are, suddenly, there’ll be a change in yourmentality; you become bigger than your job, your business, and your income or salary; you become big on the inside!

The Amplified Classic version of our opening scripture says,_*“To me, though I am the very least of all the saints (God’sconsecrated people), this grace (favor, privilege) was grantedand graciously entrusted: to proclaim to the Gentiles theunending (boundless, fathomless, incalculable, andexhaustless) riches of Christ [wealth which no human beingcould have searched out].”*_

The Word is for the man or woman who steps into it. So you’reto affirm, “I have access to the unending, boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless riches of Christ —wealth which no human being could have searched out.” You were born intoinexhaustible wealth, for you’re the seed of Abraham, an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ. Your wealth is like the bread that Jesus distributed to the multitude (five thousand men; women and childrennot counted). As they distributed it, it multiplied (Matthew 14).

This is how you should think about your resources; refuse to be lack-conscious. Always give. The more you give, the more yourresources are multiplied to be unlimited. This should be your consciousness and confession. Glory to God!

*CONFESSION*

*I have access to the unending, boundless, fathomless, incalculable and exhaustless riches of Christ—wealth which no human being could have searched out! Through the Word, I’mwalking in my superabundant inheritance in Christ. All thingsare mine! Praise God!*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *2 Corinthians 8:9 AMPC* For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied). *||*

*EXPRESS GRATITUDE .*

Tuesday, November 10th .
Pastor Chris

_*...be thankful in all circumstances. This is whatGod wants from you in your life in union with ChristJesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18 GNB).*_

The words “Thank you” are two of the most powerful wordsto utter. They convey heartfelt appreciation andgratefulness which, when rightly expressed, leave an indelibleimpression of your sincere gratitude and evoke joy in the hearts of the recipients.

Also, when you make someone glad, it’ll relax your nerves andgladden your spirit! Therefore, every so often, ask yourself, “Who amI going to appreciate today?” Let it be part of your daily plan.Someone, somewhere, should get a call, a visit, a card or a gift fromyou to say, “Thank You!” I like it when I’m able to call someone tosay, “Thank you.”

Some people find it difficult to express gratitude even when occasion warrants it. But the counsel of the Lord is clear: express gratitude always and in all things. When you go out and an attendantoffers you any form of assistance, don’t forget to say, “Thank you.”

In church, or at the theatre or some event, when the ushershows you to a seat, don’t sit down without saying, “Thank you.” When a cab driver takes you safely to your destination, don’t alight without saying, “Thank you!” All these are simple everyday situationsthat we experience, and sometimes, we don’t realize we ought to be thankful for these things.

If you’re a parent, learn to say “Thank you” to your kids whenthey do something nice. As a couple, say “Thank you” to yourspouse for the things you do for each other. When people do thingsfor you, be it a favour or even something they’re obliged to do,practise saying, “Thank you.” You’ll be amazed at the joy andfulfilment you’ll experience as a result.

*CONFESSION*

*I’m rooted and built up in the Lord, strengthened in the faith and overflowing with thankfulness! Every day, I’m inspired toexpress my gratitude to God for those through whom Heblesses me daily. Therefore, I walk in favour, joy, and fulfilment.Amen.*

*TAKE THE GOSPEL TO YOUR WORLD .*

_*And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us theministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-19).*_

Living for Jesus Christ and making yourself relevant in theministry of reconciliation are the things that count the mostin life. Your life should be about soul winning. Refuse to make the lesser things of life your focus; be all out for the Gospel.

In 1 Corinthians 9:16, Paul said, _*“...necessity is laid uponme; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”*_ He lived tofulfil God’s dream of making the Gospel known to the Gentiles. You’re an ambassador and a steward of the mysteries of Christ. You’re a soldier in Christ’s army and must therefore remain militant in bringing God’s Word to those in your world, touching them with the love of Christ and the glory of His grace.

Don’t ignore sinners around you; the end of all things is near, and the Bible says it’s not the will of God that any should perish (2Peter 3:9). He wants them saved, and He’s counting on you for their salvation.

He said in Romans 10:13-14, _*“For whosoever shall callupon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall theycall on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall theybelieve in him of whom they have not heard? AND HOW SHALL THEY HEAR WITHOUT A PREACHER?”*_ You’re the preacher, sent of God to those in your world who haven’t yet known the Lord. Don’t let themkeep living without hope, and without God in the world. Takeadvantage of every opportunity to preach the Gospel to them.

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, thank you for the opportunity to be a minister of reconciliation. My greatest passion is the spread of the Gospel around the world, for I’m an ambassador and a steward of themysteries of Christ. I bring your Word alive to those in myworld, touching them with the love of Christ and the glory ofyour grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*YOU CAME FOR A PURPOSE .*

Thursday, November 5th .
Pastor Chris

_*For we are his workmanship, created in ChristJesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).*_

God has a purpose for your life; He has a purpose foreverything that He does. In John 10:10, Jesus said, _*“...Iam come that they might have life, and that they might have itmore abundantly.”*_ 1 John 3:8 says, _*“...For this purpose the Sonof God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of thedevil.”*_ Then in Luke 19:10, He said, _*“...the Son of man is come toseek and to save that which was lost.”*_ His purpose was clear: He came to do the will of the Father.

Understand, you were born for a purpose; you came to do thewill of your heavenly Father. In Acts 26, we read about Saul of Tarsus, who on his way to Damascus had an encounter with theLord. The Lord called him by name and said, _*“...I HAVE APPEARED UNTO THEE FOR THIS PURPOSE, to make thee a minister and a witness...”*_ (Acts 26:16). God doesn’t do anything without a purpose. The reason He appeared to Saul, who later became Paul, was to make him a minister and a witness, so that he (Paul) would take the Gospel to the Gentiles (Acts 26:17).

Have you discovered your purpose? Do you know why youwere born? If you haven’t found out, you can do that today! Be boldto ask the Lord; He’ll tell you. He’ll guide you to that purpose as youwalk with Him, and do the things He’s called you to do.

You weren’t born for nothing. You were born for the glory ofGod. You were born to walk with Him and bring Him honour. Heplanned from the beginning that you’d serve Him and live unto Christ. Let that purpose become established in your heart and you’ll experience tremendous growth and success in your life, and in allthat you do.

*CONFESSION*

*I’m in the world at such a time as this, for a purpose, living thelife that God prearranged for me before the foundation of theworld. He planned that I’d serve Him and live for Him, and thatthrough me, His righteousness would be established in theearth, and in the hearts of men. I’m fulfilling this purpose daily,in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Jeremiah 1:5* Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. *||*

*HE NEVER LEAVES YOU .*

Wednesday, November 4th .
Pastor Chris

_*...I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen (Matthew 28:20 NKJV).*_

Sometimes, when people go through difficulties, theywonder if God is with them. They hope and pray that He’llbe with them. But the truth is, He never leaves you. Jesus said, _*“...Iam with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen”*_ (Matthew28:20 NKJV). What a blessing! He’s with you through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. He didn’t say, “I’ll be with you”; it’s not a promise. It’s a fact.

God’s Word is a statement of truth, and our responsibility is to line up with His truth and live accordingly always. When He said, _*“...Iam with you always, even to the end of the age”*_, it’s exactly aspowerful as when He said, _*“...I am the way, the truth, and thelife...”*_ (John 14:6). So, think, talk, and live with the consciousness, confidence and assurance that the Lord is in you and with you, forHe truly is!

This means you’re forever in safety. He’s the ever-present helpin time of need, the friend that sticks closer than a brother, and Henever fails. Trust Him. In Isaiah 41:10, He said, _*“Fear thou not; for Iam with thee....”*_ He’s in you and with you everywhere, in every place, and in every situation.

It makes no difference what the situation is; be conscious thatyou can neither fail nor lose; you’re attended by the presence ofGod. Oh, what confidence you should have in life! No wonder Hesaid, _*“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper...”*_(Isaiah 54:17). Have the attitude of victory in everything, every day of your life, for the greater One is with you and He lives in you.

*CONFESSION*

*I win always, because the Lord is in me and with me, throughthe Holy Spirit. His divine presence mantles me and fills me,transforming every fibre of my being and every bone of mybody. I have the mindset of victory and I reign triumphantly over circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *1 John 4:4* Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. *||*

*||* *John 14:17* [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. *||*

*||* *Hebrews 13:5-6 AMPC* Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] 6 So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified].
