TEXT: PROVERBS 31:25-31
25. Strength and honour are her clothing; And she shall rejoice in time to come.
26. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; And in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27. She looketh well to the ways of her household, And eateth not the bread of idleness.
28. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29. Many daughters have done virtuously, But thou excellest them all.
30. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: But a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
31. Give her of the fruit of her hands; And let her own works praise her in the gates.

KEY VERSE: PROVERBS 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Mary had four sons and at least two daughters, these children had natural wish and were born in sin, the coming of Jesus out of the womb of Mary did not wash that womb from sin. These children grew up ungodly like other children they did not believe in Jesus when He was on earth with them.

But they had a mother that was to turn them to righteousness and present them to God. She was a woman ordinary as you are but dedicated to God and passionate about Jesus. Mary had a sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas. So it is clear she was a human and not an angel created in heaven.

God did not give automatic repentance just because they came from the same womb with Jesus but Mary worked on her unbelieving children untill they became great preachers and Bible writers as James and Jude. Mary took it up with God and worked on them until they changed and became righteous and godly.

Learn from Mary, do not be lazy over your children, do not fold your hands over your children, do not allow them to go to hell. God is looking for your children, present them as a living sacrifice unto Him. Let the anointing of God fall on them to make them great preachers that will bring revival to the world in this end-time, be a role model to them.

Be loving and gentle, monitor them closely, have a program or schedule on their spiritual development ensure they are engaged in Divine assignment of the movement. Spend time consciously in studying the bible with them, fast with them and create time to be praying for them regularly.

The Lord will win over their body, spirit, and soul in Jesus name Amen. Mary had love in her heart, she was not a carefree woman she looked well and cared much. If you come across Mary then you would see beauty of love, care and gentleness. She was caring and compassionate, concerned yet under control. She had control of her emotions and tongue in speaking with her children

TOPIC: AS A CHILD OF PROMISE, DON"T DISAPPOINT GOD

TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 1:9-20
9. So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now, Eli, the priest, sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.
10. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.
11. And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.
12. And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth.
13. Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.
14. And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee.
15. And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.
16. Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto.
17. Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.
18. And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.
19. And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.
20. Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.

KEY VERSE: TITUS 1:9 “Holding fast the faithful word as he had been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers”

God knows those that are His and watches over them even as they are young and growing up. We can see in our text that Samuel was a child of promise. His mother got him from her fervent prayer to God. There was a covenant between Hannah and God: that if God would remember her and give her a man-child, she would give him unto the Lord all the days of his life.

Many parents made this type of agreement with God, may be as a result of delay in child bearing or as they got born again or as a Christian, they said “every one of our children shall be committed unto the Lord” and so dedicated you to the Lord in the church. People witnessed it and rejoiced with them as they dedicated you.

Your parents have received the commandment of God to bring you up, even as a youth, in the way of righteousness, the way of truth, and the way of acceptable service. Samuel was taught by his mother at home because he was dedicated to God, of course.

In this way, your family, being a true Christian, is training you through morning and evening devotions. They are bringing you up because of the vision they have for you. They bring you to the church, lead, and direct you in the church on how to live your life for Christ.

Your parents have a purpose for you, and they are training you to fulfil it. They want you to glorify God. It will give them joy. Now that you have understood this, live holy so that you will fulfil the promise of God upon your life, defend the Lord before unrighteous men, and make it to heaven.

Thought for the day: Practice holiness as a youth. It will give your parents joy.

TOPIC: AREAS OF RESTITUTION (PART 2)

TEXT: LEVITICUS 6:1-4
1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2. If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;
3. Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:
4. Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,.

KEY VERSE: LEVITICUS 6:2 If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour.

Restitution is required in all manner of lying and falsehood. The lie told should be uncovered, and the truth should be made known. Lying for documents, certificates, results, and such like should be repented of and revealed, and their use or possession should be discontinued. This should be done to individuals, institutions, families, or the Government.

Be careful and prayerful, if necessary, receive enough counsel so that you don't use lies to rectify old lies. There are people who lie concerning their age or name. Go and confess the truth to appropriate authority. Even though they may not be able to change it in their system, it is no more sin because you have confessed it but you need to give explanation from time to time where required.

Any false accusation you have made requires amendment for the sake of peace and holiness. Follow peace with all men, including unbelievers, witches and wizards. If you have a bad relationship with people whom you accused without verifying it or if you are not in talking terms with them and you say, "I do not bother, she is a witch." Who told you she is a witch? Have you proved it. Do you have witnesses? Can you make God one of your witnesses? Go and apologize and settle that matter; follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

An example of false accusation is the case of Job from his friends who condemned him unjustly. Some mysteries came upon Job. Neither they nor Job knew the challenge between God and Satan. The Bible says, we know in part. Be very careful how you treat what you think you know, because you may not have full knowledge, you may know only in part. Know that for every transaction that goes between you and another, God keeps record in heaven. He is a God of truth and knowledge.

TOPIC: THE APPROPRIATE PLACE TO GIVE FOR GOD'S WORK

TEXT: MATTHEW 7:13-14
13. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

KEY VERSE: ISAIAH 1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.

If you are a child of God, you are sorrowful for the doom hanging over sinners around you and the world, you are grieved over the state of the Church today, backslidden and lukewarm, you long for the revival of true Christianity in your community and in the world,

You desire to support the fires of End Time revival of the true gospel of Christ Jesus with your money and material resources, then it is essential you know where to invest your resources in order to realize your desire. The types of churches and ministries today are presented in the following scriptures:

(i) The Broad And The Narrow Way: The two ways stated in the scripture above represents the two kinds of churches and ministries in the world today. You may be in one of these churches yourself as Lot was in S***m, but Lot would not pay his tithes in S***m. Every investment done in S***m-like churches and ministries shall be destroyed by fire. Few churches and ministries are in the narrow way to heaven; be a narrow way financier.

(ii) Bad and Good Ground Churches and Ministries: The following scriptures reveal four types of ground that receive the seed of God’s Word. Three are bad grounds and only one is good ground; Matthew 13:3-9. The Lord gave the characteristic of each ground as follows:

(i) The way-side churches; Matthew 13:19: The men who receive tithes and offering in the way-side church do not have the spiritual understanding on their use for God’s (ii) Stony-heart churches; Matthew 13:20-21: This kind of churches or ministries carry out some activities or projects that have no root, continuity, sincerity, holiness and salvation of members.

(iii) Thorny-churches; Matthew 13:22: These churches love the world and riches. They spend money on cathedrals, ceremonies, flamboyant attires and travelling round the world for sight-seeing.

(iv) The Good Ground Churches; Matthew 13:23: These kinds have understanding of God, they are faithful stewards of Christ, who put His resources to judicious use. Scatter or concentrate your resources among them as the Lord leads you.

TOPIC: THE EVILS OF DANCING IN THE CHURCH ASSEMBLY (1)

TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 10:20-22
20. But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
21. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
22. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than He?

KEY VERSE: JEREMIAH 6:14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

Church dance provides an opportunity for sinners to dance for Satan: The sinners who come to the church are already used to worldly music and dancing in cultural and disco dance for sensual pleasure. When the opportunity opens for them to dance in the church, they recall the skills, pleasures, techniques, powers, and styles already gained from worldly music and dancing.

Their excellent dance in the church, in the name of praise and worship of God, is really not for the Lord, but for the honour and sensual pleasure of themselves. This is pollution to God's temple. They dance for devils at parties and dance for God in the church!

Is it true that the local church is a mixture of saved and unsaved men, righteous and unrighteous men, and good and bad worshippers? When the unsaved who are often in the majority, stand up and dance in the worship service, for whom do they dance? Surely, not for God, but for themselves and Satan! God does not accept the worship of the unrepentant sinner.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to God. Proverbs 15:8. Should sinners dance for themselves and Satan in their parties and dance in church for God? This is a provocation to the Jealous God. His name is taken in vain, and He will not take it lightly with the minister who organizes and encourages this provocation against Him.

Dancing hinders genuine conversion of sinners in the church: The dancing going on in the churches today has an adverse effect on sinners. It destroys the soberness, guilt, and remorse expected of sinners when they come into the house of God. The sinners now are made to dance and rejoice in their sins, as though our God is appeased by their dance.

They feel happy and peaceful in their sins, having praised, danced, and satisfied God, as some think. During preaching, the word has less effect upon them, because they think they have settled themselves during praise and dance worship. Soberness in sinners is very important for their conviction, repentance, and salvation. Whatever destroys this in them does not come from God and is a sin against Him.

TOPIC: MANY CHURCHES ARE IN DARKNESS

TEXT: 2 TIMOTHY 3:1-7
1. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

KEY VERSE: 2 PETER 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

Pastors now do various evils in the church, even killing their members. A pastor poisoned a drum of water and called the members by families to drink it. He told them that it was time to go to heaven and as each family drank it, they died. Brethren, these are days of bad tidings. The perilous times foretold by the Scripture are here with us. When it came to the pastor's turn to drink with his family, he ran away with his family.

You have been saved. Your eyes have been opened to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. They have all been under the power of Satan. The power and inspiration they use, is of Satan. Men take security in Satan and employ the power of Satan in everything they do. They use charms, enchantments, witchcraft and occultism.

The power of Satan is employed even in the church and in the Christian service. That is why they are sacrifice their children to Satan. They tell their members, to make real money; one must contact Satan and satisfy his demands. That is why their mothers are sacrificed, their fathers are sacrificed, their brothers and sisters are sacrificed. That is why we are crying to God to turn them from the power of Satan unto God.

"The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof." Go and tell them to repent. Satan is not the owner of this earth. Satan is not the one that made man. All these ministers they go to receive anointing from, are corrupt ones; they just blow air into the microphone, and everyone falls down in the congregation, without a clear work of salvation on them. They call them great men of God, but that is darkness. They carry demons with them for preaching.

Go and turn them from the power of Satan unto God. God is able to keep them. God is able to save them. God is able to grant the desire of their hearts. That they may obtain forgiveness of sins; because all those things they are doing in that religion, their sins are still upon them. All those seeds they are sowing to the fake man of God, their sins are still upon them.

TOPIC: DO NOT SETTLE FOR THE PERMISSIVE WILL OF GOD IN MARRIAGE

TEXT: NUMBERS 24:14-22
14. And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.
15. And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, And the man whose eyes are open hath said:
16. He hath said, which heard the words of God, And knew the knowledge of the Most High, Which saw the vision of the Almighty, Falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
17. I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: There shall come a Star out of Jacob, And a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, And shall smite the corners of Moab, And destroy all the children of Sheth.
18. And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; And Israel shall do valiantly.
19. Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, And shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
20. And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; But his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.
21. And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, And thou puttest thy nest in a rock.
22. Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, Until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.

God knows how to allow people have their own way. The prodigal son’s father allowed his son, not according to his will. If he did not allow him, the young man would not give him peace. Eventually his son would affect others. God is a witness that Balaam was stopped but he refused. He was chastised but he refused to listen, so he was allowed.

God allowed Balaam to go and do his own will. God would still be glorified. Balaam went to hell, but the virtuous words and inspiration of Balaam remained for our righteousness. God can allow you to marry a sinner to your hurt, because of your disobedience. You may end up in hell, but God would remain faithful as a God of truth and love. Our God is a wise God.

The father of the prodigal son allowed his son to have his will, certainly with much pressure on the father and rejection of the father’s instruction. The prodigal son had devised a way to his own hurt. If the father did not allow him, he too would suffer from the son’s continual troubling.

The same thing goes for those who are solemnly warned against marrying each other, because of blood group or dangerous illness but refused to listen. It was for mundane things that Balaam was carried away, otherwise, the Lord had told him, “Do not go with them.”

Now that his heart was bent on going with them; in other words, the Lord gave him His permissive will to satisfy his carnal desire, but he later paid dearly for it. You will certainly regret it, if you insist on your will, to marry someone you know clearly the Lord has not approved for you. What you think you will benefit from the person shall turn to vanity and vexation of spirit.

TOPIC: PRINCIPLES OF REWARDABLE CHRISTIAN GIVING

TEXT: ROMANS 12:1-2
1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

KEY VERSE: 2 CORINTHIANS 8:5 And this they did not as we hoped but first gave their own selves to the Lord and unto us by the will of God.

God is a rewarder of righteous works. Biblical principles must be followed for what is given to God, to be accepted and rewarded by Him. God will not recognize or bless the gifts that come from sinful principles or from sinners. Ministers of the gospel must have a just cause to raise offering, and must do so in a scriptural way.

The people who give to God or fellowmen must do so out of a true and clean motive. Without compliance to God's righteous principles, our gift is an abomination to God. No minister has the power to confer divine blessing on an impure gift or impure giver. The following are the principles of rewarding Christian giving.

a: The giver must be a child of God committed to holy living, 2 Corinthians 8:5; Romans 12:1, 2. True Christian ministers do not solicit for fund from unbelievers for gospel work, 3 John 5-8, Ezra 4:1-3.

b: The giver must give to God and to his fellowmen willingly and cheerfully. God loves a cheerful giver, Exodus 25:1, 2; 2 Corinthians 9:7. The people of God must not be tricked into giving; they must not be made to grumble and bitterness due to exaction and force. If this happens, they have no reward for what they give and the one who collects such exaction in the name of the Lord is sinning. Such money cannot bear spiritual fruits, Matthew 7:16- 18.

c: The program or project requiring money must be inspired by God. God will not bless people who contribute money for programs or projects of strife and vain glory, Philippians 2:3; Daniel 4:28-32.

d: Love must be the basis of all Christian giving, 1 Corinthians 13:3.

e: The giving should be done in obedience and faith, according to scripture and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Hebrews 11:1, 2.

f: The giving should be accompanied by prayer for divine blessing, Deuteronomy 26:12-15.

g: The giver must wait patiently for the Lord to reward his faithfulness in ways the Lord chooses. James 5:7-11; Hebrews 10:25-39.
