Welcome to our Devotion
Working out our salvation
Philippians 2
[12]Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
[13]for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
[14]Do all things without complaining and disputing,
Reflection
* Salvation is a free gift. "Working it out" means putting that internal faith into external action—allowing God's grace to shape how you live, love, and serve.
* The command is followed by verse 13, "for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose," which explains that the ability to "work out" salvation ultimately comes from God, not personal strength. We are limited and unless we look upon the cross, our service to God will never yield much and therefore we need to actively live out the spiritual transformation that God has already placed inside us.
* When you see all that our Lord Jesus has done for you and what He is doing even now, you’ll find it easy to work out your salvation in the way you treat others. You’ll be able to relate to others and carry out your responsibilities with a spirit of love, honor, and humility without finding fault
Prayer
Dear Lord, we thank you for the grace upon our lives today. We pray to actively live out and manifest the joy of salvation in all our dealings by building a healthy, humble, and loving community that reflects Jesus to the outside world
In Jesus Name
Amen
