LORD! CONNECT ME TO MY HELPERS 11
"But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore, didst thou doubt?" Mt.14:30-31.
Some helpers are strategically placed for our rescue and lifting. Life is full of challenges that could shake and move the reason for our faith. At times, such challenges of life could distract us from rightness.
Certain strategic helpers are divinely chosen to be at the juncture of our failures. They are so quick and proactive to cover up for our inadequacies, inabilities and shortcomings. They instill confidence and courage and bring us to the pedestrial of success afresh.
People had written off Peter. It could be that his earlier success of walking on the water had become a byword. Strategic helpers would reinvent and reestablish the breakthrough recorded earlier.
Enemies gathered to conspire against the woman that was caught in adultery. Her strategic helper didn't approve the act, rather He salvaged the situation, rescued the woman and shamed her accusers. After they all departed in shame, he addressed her case thus.
"When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." John 8:10 -11.
This kind helpers do not condone or approve laxity, sinfulness or failure. Not at all. Instead, they pitch tent with God that when there is life there is still hope.
"For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant." Job.14:7-9.
