Daniel 1:8 But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.

BY THE WORD

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. - Matt 4:4

If God so willed, we could live without bread, just as Jesus did for forty days. But we could not live without His Word. It was by His Word that we were created, and only by it can we be sustained. He upholds all things by the power of His Word. Bread may nourish our bodies, but God Himself is our true sustenance. He can provide for us with or without physical food, so we must not limit Him to one way of working. Let’s not be overly focused on the visible; let’s look to the invisible God. Some believers have even testified that during times of deep poverty, when they had little food, their appetites also diminished. And in other times of need, the Lord sent unexpected help.

But we must have the Word of the Lord. Only by His Word can we stand against the enemy. Without it, we would quickly fall. Our souls need nourishment, and there is no spiritual food apart from the Word of God. No book or preacher can provide what only God’s Word can. Lord, give us Your Word daily. We treasure it more than the finest of earthly feasts. Amen.

What are the Thorns?

Some fell among thorns, and thorns grew up , and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. - Mark 4:7

The thorns in this parable were cut off, but their roots remained in the ground. As the good seed began to grow, so did the thorns, and because they grew faster and more aggressively than the wheat, they soon choked it out, rendering it unfruitful. Jesus explains that these thorns represent “the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches.” “Cares” are worries, distractions, and anxieties. Martha, for instance, was at risk of having the good seed in her heart choked out by her distractions over household duties. Many promising Christian lives have been similarly stunted by worldly cares. As for “the deceitfulness of riches,” countless spiritual lives have been choked by the pursuit of wealth.

“The lust of other things entering in chokes the word,” Jesus adds. We’ve all seen people who began their Christian walk well, but as their cares increased or they became wealthier, their spiritual zeal faded. The lesson for us is to focus on our own hearts and ensure that the thorns and weeds do not overtake the good seed in the garden of our soul.

Jesus doesn’t say these people aren’t Christians, but rather that they “bring no fruit to perfection.” Their spiritual lives are stunted and unfruitful due to the distractions of the world. Though they may continue in religious activities—preaching, teaching, or praying—their lives lack the vitality of true faith. Sometimes, God steps in and removes the “thorns” by taking away the worldly object absorbing our hearts. Though painful, the result is often a deeper blessing.Shalom 🙏

📌BECOMING MORE LIKE GOD📌

🔥🔥Association brings Assimilation. Who you company with the most influences who you become. 🔥🔥

🔥🔥If he that walks with wise men shall be wise, then he that walks with the Holy God shall become holy.🔥🔥

Proverbs 13:20 "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed"

🔥🔥The more you spend time with God and behold Him at the place of prayer and fellowship, the more like Him you become, and the better your life becomes.🔥🔥

2 Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD"

🔥🔥It doesn't matter how weak or sinful you are at the moment, if only you can learn to spend time with God consistently at the place of prayer and fellowship, you will eventually become strong and holy. SHALOM. 🔥🔥

Daily Light on the Daily Path

Let us labour to enter into that rest. - Heb 4:11

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction: … strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.—The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.—Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you.—Give diligence to make your calling and election sure: … for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.—So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.—The Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

Matt 7:13-14, Matt 11:12, John 6:27, 2 Pet 1:10-11, 1 Cor 9:24-25, Heb 4:10, Isa 60:19

Morning Prayer

*Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee.*⏤ Isaiah 26:3

👉Trust the past to God's mercy, the present to God's love, and the future to God's providence.

Let's believe & pray🤲

Our Dear Father in Heaven we glorify and adore your Name, days come and go, bringing change and decay, but You remain the same forever. A thousand years in Your sight are like a single day. With You, there is no past or future; all time is present to You. Yet in our small lives, we need daily blessings. The memories of our past sorrows cast shadows on our present, and our fears for the future often cast shadows on our path.

We are grateful that You see and know everything—past, present, and future—and that we can safely leave it all in Your hands. Help us to live faithfully in this little day that is ours, leaving the past and future with You, without worrying. So, we ask for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, enabling us to be true and faithful in all our duties.

We ask You, O Lord, to give us the strength and wisdom we need for today’s responsibilities and experiences. Let nothing surprise or dishearten us. Hold our hand through every situation. Give us wisdom to answer every question and make every decision in a way that pleases You. Strengthen us to resist temptation, no matter how subtly it approaches. Increase Your love within us so that we may be patient with everyone we meet, compassionate toward those who are sorrowful, cheerful with those who are discouraged, and helpful to those who are weak.

Send us out to do Your work so that everything we do today is for You. Breathe upon us as we wait here in Your presence and give us Your blessing as our Father. We ask this in Jesus’ name.Amen🙏

Daily Comfort

*“All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: medallions, earrings, rings from their fingers, and necklaces. They presented gold objects of every kind to the LORD.*” - Exod 35:22

When the ancient Hebrews were preparing to build the tabernacle for God, they brought the richest and best things they had. They looked at their most valuable possessions and offered them to God.

We should follow the same principle when we give to God. When we give gifts to those we love, we take great care to choose the best and most beautiful things we can find.

But do we always give Christ the best?

Do we give Him the best of our love?

Do we give Him the best of our time, energy, and effort?

Do we do our best work in His service?

Are our gifts to Him the most precious things we have?

The Israelites brought their finest gold jewelry, including medallions, earrings, rings, and necklaces. Nothing was too precious for God.

Is this how we give to God? Or do we sometimes bring Him the smallest gifts we can find? Do we keep the best for ourselves and give Him what’s left over?

This applies to more than just money. It’s also about how we spend our time, our energy, and our talents. Too often, we give God what’s left after we’ve served ourselves first.so Let's always put God first. Shalom🙏
