Character protects your talent/Gift.
It is unfair to attribute virtues beyond a person’s true character and one of the real tests of Christian character is to be found in the lives we live from day to day.
Text:1Samuel 3:19-21
In verse 21,we read that Samuel continued to lead a devoted life and the Lord continued to reveal Himself to him through His Word.As a result, everyone looked to Samuel, from one end of the nation to the other. His character kept him in the game long enough to become the most influential man in Israel.Eli his mentor had his own character shortcomings while Saul the first king was removed for failure.
As chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and so is character.

Practice sharpens your talent/Gift.
Daniel was one sharp young leader, gifted with the ability to interprete dreams.
Daniel was never rusty,he was always ready to use his God given ability home and away and even won the hearts of kings.
In teachings like the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25), neglecting or burying a given resource results in displeasure and the loss of opportunity to grow. For some people, the God- given gift/talent has lost its purpose simply because they are not using it.
That gift or talent is your tool to draw hearts into the Kingdom of God.

Focus directs your talent and gifts.

Come to think of Noah in Genesis Chapter 6.Hecwas a righteous man and was asked to build an ark .He definitely had not built such a vessel before but withstood the sharp criticism as he prepared for the flood. He remained focused nevertheless and today we are beneficiaries of his great focus!
The God -given gifts and talents may have several distractors along the way and the journey to victory may have several bumps but as you remain focused on God's assignment and will , success will surely come your way.

Initiative activates your talent

In Acts Chapter 9,We read that after conversion,Paul didn't hesitate but immediately started preaching in the regions of Damascus and Arabia.
Other than just waiting for good things to happen, taking initiative can open unimaginable doors.

Passion energizes your talent/Gift.
In 1st King 18,Elijah was greatly outnumbered when he confronted the false prophets on the top of Mt. Carmel but was very victorious through the Mighty God.A fire filled with passion was already burning inside Elijah even before the miraculous showdown, proving that one man with passion can defeat several hundreds who are no more than curious.
Believers can likewise pray for passion in their God given assignment.

Belief lifts your talent/Gift

In 1St Samuel 17,no one in Israel believed that they could face the nine foot giant named Goliath until David, the young teenager came forward.
David believed with his God given ability he would be victorious. His strong belief enabled him to use his gift, having slewn the bear and the lion that previously attacked his father's flock.
As you believe so shall it be.

John 14:12 Truly truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father..

The door is opened for us to reach our maximum potential through Jesus Christ.
We are therefore to consciously align ourselves to God's Will in total surrender, while closing these potential gaps as listed below:
Assumption gap-Assuming that you will automatically grow.
Timing gap-It is not the right time to begin while it is.
Perfection gap-I have to find the best way before I begin.
Comparison gap- Others are better than i am.
Expectation gap-I thought it would be easier.
Inspiration gap-I don't feel like it.
Knowledge gap-I don't know how to grow.

Proverbs 18:16
A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great..

God is the giver of talents and gifts. It remains man's responsibility to manage and steward what He has given us.Applying consistent intentionality brings growth .Growth determines who you are and who you are determines who you attract.

Doing more with less
The Word of God teaches us to to redeem time and to reclaim our precious moments.Wisdom is not letting extra minutes slip through your fingers, it is using every small window of free time for quick productive tasks that will help you get ahead.

See what Apostle Paul had to say👇🏽
Ephesians 5:15-16
Be very careful, then how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil...

By starting your day with prayer, you commit it to God who sees the whole picture, who helps you set your priorities wisely and who equips you with redemption strategies throughout the day.
