HE REACHES THE WORLD OF MEN THROUGH MEN

So he, trembling and astonished, said, ''Lord, what do You want me to do?" Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do” (Acts 9:6 NKJV).

The Bible tells us the story of Peter and Cornelius in Acts 10. Cornelius, a Roman centurion, was a devout and God-fearing man who regularly gave alms to the poor, yet he wasn’t saved. In a vision, an angel appeared to him, instructing him to send for Peter who shall tell him words, whereby he and all his household shall be saved.

Someone might ask, “Why didn't the angel directly instruct Cornelius on what he needed to do for salvation? Why the elaborate process of summoning and persuading Peter?” It’s because God sent men to bear His message of salvation, not angels. His policy is to use men to save men.

This principle is exemplified in the fact that God Himself became a man to bring salvation to us. That’s why He still needed to use the Apostle Peter to lead Cornelius and his household to salvation. His Gospel is committed to men and to be preached by men. And by men, we mean men and women alike.

In 1 Timothy 1:11, Paul said, “According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.” The Gospel has been committed to your trust, not to the trust of angels. So, take advantage of His mandate and be a light in your world and to the nations. Enlighten and illuminate the hearts of men and women with the saving truth and transforming realities of the Gospel.

It’s a noble responsibility for us to carry the message of salvation to the farthest corners of the earth. So rejoice in this privilege and let it become the focal point of your life's purpose. You’ve been granted the opportunity to serve in the Gospel, to proclaim His righteousness and to establish His Kingdom on earth and in the hearts of people. Nothing could be more gratifying!

DECLARATIONS
I’m the light of the world and the bearer of Christ’s glorious Gospel that leads men into salvation. Through me, men are translated from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God as I fulfil my ministry as an ambassador of Christ and of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

PRACTICAL WISDOM

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence (Ephesians 1:7-8).

In Ephesians 1:7-8, the Apostle Paul unveils a profound truth: every kind of wisdom has been lavished upon us in Christ.

Read the 8th verse in the Amplified Classic; it says, “Which He lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical insight and prudence).” Pause and let the weight of this revelation sink in.

Recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 12:42; He said, "The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here." Solomon was given practical wisdom; it’s the same word that’s translated in our theme verse as “Prudence.”

The Greek Septuagint tells us that the wisdom that God gave to Solomon was “Phronesis.” In Luke 1:17, it’s described as “the wisdom of the just”: “And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

“Phronesis” is practical wisdom, and it’s available to us in Christ. Christ has been made unto you wisdom from God. That practical wisdom empowers you to apply, utilize and immerse yourself in various fields with divine insight. Whether in politics, law, business, medicine, or any profession, you become exceptional.

This wisdom is a spiritual elixir that locates you within the framework of God's will, beyond your natural understanding, causing you to do God's things God's way, in God's time for God's purpose. It's also a mind-set; an excellent mind-set that causes you to think in a certain way and to say the right things in the right way at the right time for the right purpose in the right place. Hallelujah!

DECLARATIONS
Dear Father, I affirm that in Christ, I have access to practical wisdom. I walk in divine wisdom; I do and say the right things at the right time, in the right way, for God’s purpose. Christ, my wisdom, effectively works in me to produce fruits and works of righteousness to the glory of God. Hallelujah!

*WHEN THE HOLY GHOST PRAYS THROUGH YOU*

_*📖But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost (Jude 1:20).*_

Praying in the Spirit or praying in the Holy Ghost is twofold: there’s praying with your spirit, which is speaking in tongues, and praying through the power of the Holy Spirit. In our opening scripture, we’re instructed to pray through the power of the Holy Spirit. But in 1 Corinthians 14:14, Paul explains, _*“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.”*_ This refers to praying with your spirit, speaking in tongues, as a means of engaging with God on a deeper, spiritual level.

Then in Romans 8:26, we see another dimension of praying in the Spirit: _*“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”*_ This is not speaking in tongues. It is the Holy Ghost interceding for us with groanings, deep, heartfelt expressions that words cannot articulate.

Have you experienced moments when words fail, and instead, your spirit is burdened with groanings and deep sighs? These are times when the Holy Ghost takes over, interceding in your behalf. When this happens, continue in prayer until you have a release in your spirit.

This kind of prayer is so powerful. It allows the Holy Ghost to address situations beyond your understanding; it’s a divine strategy for living an ever-victorious life in Christ. Additionally, as you pray in tongues, the Bible says you can ask for the gift of interpretation. This doesn’t mean translating what you prayed but receiving insight into what you’re praying about.

However, when the Holy Ghost prays through you in groanings, you may not always know the details unless He reveals them to you. The power and the effect when the Spirit prays through us like that are incontrovertible; we invoke the power and dominion of heaven on earth, manifesting divine realities. It’s one of the reasons I love and enjoy to pray.

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, thank you for the gift of the Spirit who helps me pray beyond my understanding. As I pray in tongues and through the power of the Holy Ghost, every limitation is removed, and I walk in continuous victory. Thank you for this divine strategy to live a life that is upward and forward only, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

_*📖And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout (Joshua 6:10).*_

When God sent the children of Israel to bring down the walls of Jericho, He gave them the strategy. He said to them, “Go around Jericho once every day for seven days.” He also instructed them through Joshua to stay quiet. He didn’t want anyone doubting or asking, “Do you think these walls will fall down? They’re so thick!” No; He commanded absolute silence.

From the time they left their homes until they returned, they were to say nothing for the first six days as they marched round Jericho. On the seventh day, they were to go around the city seven times, and on the seventh lap, the priests were to blow the trumpet, and after that, everyone was to shout!

They did as God instructed, and though they hadn’t any equipment to bring down those walls, the walls fell down flat nevertheless. God instructed them to be quiet until the seventh day because He didn’t want them speaking unbelief that would nullify their faith. Sometimes, you need to be quiet. If you’re struggling to believe what God has said, don’t speak doubt. Instead, meditate on the Word, and build your faith.

This is one area where fasting is also very beneficial. Fasting will help you if you’re having difficulty believing something God has said to you. When you fast, pray, and study the Word, it’ll speed up the process of developing your faith for that situation. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, thank you for the strategies you give us to walk in victory. I declare that my heart is open to your Word, and I walk according to your instructions with faith and confidence. I walk by faith, not by sight. I build my faith and grow in your Word, making progress in every area of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*
