💜| STAND STRONG IN FAITH |💜
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).
Wednesday 24th, August.
Pastor Chris

As a Christian, you ought to look at things from the spiritual perspective, especially when you encounter circumstances that pose some serious challenges to your faith. Are you in a health situation, and you’ve done everything you know and the prognosis is still dim? Or in your finances you’ve applied all the strategies you know, but your situation seems to be worsening, and you’re wondering what next to do?

At such times, stand strong in faith. You have to realize that there’s an adversary who is all out to oppose the Gospel and try to hinder your effectiveness in the things of God. Ephesians 6:10-11 says, “…be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” The wiles of the devil refer to the strategies of the devil. The Apostle Paul, here, wants you to know that there’s an enemy that is lying in wait, strategizing against you and the Church.

But to counter this enemy, he tells you to put on the whole armour of God, why? Because he knows that if you don’t put on the whole armour of God, you can’t face the adversary. The twelfth verse of the same chapter goes on to say, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

Something about this “wrestling” that you need to realize is that it’s not just a fight as in physical combat; rather, it’s the adversary trying to sway you from the
right path through deception. But with the Word in your mouth and heart, you prevail always against the enemy. James 4:7 says, “…Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Revelation 12:11 shows how to resist him. It says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” No matter what the enemy throws at you, stand strong in faith and use the allpowerful Name of Jesus to neutralize him. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER*
*Dear Heavenly Father, I give you thanks for the opportunity to be blessed by your precious Word today. I’m not ignorant of Satan’s devices and refuse to fall prey to them. I declare that Satan and all his cohorts of hell are under my feet, in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen.*

YOUR CONFESSION RULE YOUR LIFE
I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! (Psalm 91:2 AMPC).

Tuesday 23rd, August.
Pastor Chris

Oftentimes, we think about certain things that happened to some very “good” people, and say, “If that could happen to so-and-so, what about me? That fellow was better than I am!” Well, it’s got nothing to do with who’s better than who. It’s got to do with your personal walk with the Lord and your faith in His Word. It’s about your faith confessions. Bad things can happen to good people.

Ponder again on the anointed words of the Psalmist that we read in our opening scripture. It was David’s confession and it’s got to become your confession as well. Every so often, you say, “The Lord is my Refuge and my Fortress; He’s my God; on Him, I lean and rely, and in Him I confidently trust!”

Learn the power and value of thinking right and speaking right. If your thinking is wrong, it’ll reflect in your words. And if your words are wrong, things will go wrong in your life. Your confessions regulate your life. The Bible says, “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth” (Proverbs 6:2).

No wonder Psalms 39:1 admonishes that you guard what you say and speak only what’s right: “…I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle….” James 3:2 says, “For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.”

Proverbs 15:4 says, “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life...”; a wholesome tongue is one that speaks in line with the provisions of Christ in His Gospel. Do
you want to live the awesome, transcendent life of ever-increasing glory that God has destined for you? The key is your confessions: “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile” (1 Peter 3:10). Refraining your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking guile means that you only speak in conformity with the Word of God.

*CONFESSION*
*The LORD is the strength of my life! Even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, because He’s with me. His rod and His staff comfort me. He takes hold of my right hand and says to me, “Fear not; I’m here to help you.” Therefore, I’m strong in Him and in the power of His might! Glory to God!*

*|| Proverbs 18:21 ||* Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

||💜| CHRIST: A PLACE LIKE NO OTHER |💜||

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Monday 22nd, August.
Pastor Chris

One day, some of the disciples of John the Baptist came to the Lord Jesus; they observed that Jesus had a house in the first place, because they had been following John the Baptist through the wilderness. They stayed with Jesus through the day, asking questions about the Kingdom of God; and Jesus answered their questions.

When it was night-time, they didn’t want to go back to John, and the Bible records that they stayed with Jesus from then on and never went back to John.
They found what their soul had been longing for; their search ended; they had come home!

Yes, in Christ, you’re at home. Christ is a Person; Christ is also a place—a place like no other. In Him, you’re at peace. In Him, you’re fulfilled. In Him, you’ve arrived. Christ! What a place! When those disciples got to Him, they found the place where love abides, the place where love reigns and rules, a place where only grace and righteousness abounds.

The disciples of John were enraptured in love when they came to Jesus, just as we are today. As they listened to Him, their search ended. When you come to Him, you’re home; your struggles end. If you haven’t received Christ, receive Him now; come into Christ now by praying the prayer of salvation on page 76, at the back of this devotional.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the indwelling of Christ who’s in me by the Holy Spirit. Christ is my resting place, home, health, wealth and glory. Because Christ lives in me and I live in Him, I’m victorious in all things. I make tremendous progress and move forward with giant strides by the Holy Ghost, and with every little effort I make, I have abundant and outstanding results, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE WORD IS ALL THAT’S NECESSARY

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).

It’s so important to understand that when you were born again, you were actually born of the Word. The Bible says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 Peter 1:23). You’re the offspring of the Word. You’re called to live by the Word, even as you’re being built by the Word; you dwell in the Word.

Therefore, as one who’s born of the Word, when you speak, your words cease to be mere words. That’s the reason Romans 10:8 says of the Word: “…The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.” You’re to always give vent to the Word; speak the Word always.

Here’s what the Spirit is saying to you even now: “In the realm of the spirit, the Word is all that’s necessary; receive the Word at my mouth, says the Lord, have it in your spirit for your spirit is the home of the Word. As you receive my Word, you’ll think my thoughts and walk in my realm of life. Therefore, when you speak, it will come to pass, because it’s the Word; says the Spirit of the Lord!”

Yes, you’re born into that realm; created, fashioned and sharpened by the Word. As you grow in the Word, you become a manifestation of the Word. That’s the way Jesus was; He was the outbreathing of God, the Word of God made flesh. He walked the streets of Israel as the Word. And as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). We’re called the word—the epistle of Christ: “Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart” (2 Corinthians 3:3). Meditate on these truths today.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the effectual working of your Word in my life. I’m made, fashioned and sharpened by your Word; therefore, my life is a manifestation of your outbreathings. Your Word is in my heart and in my mouth, and as I speak it forth, it produces results, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

LIFE—MANIFESTED

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us) (1 John 1:1-2).

There’s an understanding and appreciation of the Word—a perspective of truth that the apostles had. It was quite profound. Consider what we just read in the verse above; John uses the definite article for “life” and says, “For the life was manifested.” He’s saying, “The life was shown to us.” This is an expression that’s beyond human reasoning. How could life be given the definite article and then be said to have been “manifested” for us to see?

Is life a person? Now you can understand it when Jesus said in John 14:6, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life….” He is the life that became defined in totality, in a human person, and was manifested to us. 1 John 1:2 says, “...For the life was manifested and we have seen it….” How can somebody see life? What does life look like? Now you know: Jesus is life. But you see, it’s a discovery you’d have to make for yourself; it has to become a revelation of truth in your spirit, not head-knowledge.

Jesus is the embodiment of life. 1 John 5:12 NKJV says, “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” In the 13th verse, he climaxes his message and says, “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life” (NIV).

For God’s people everywhere, this is your reality: You have LIFE—eternal life! Jesus is eternal life: “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life” (1 John 5:20).

CONFESSION
I have eternal life NOW! It’s my present-hour reality in Christ. I’m a partaker of the divine nature; an associate of the God-kind. As Jesus is, so am I; my life has become the manifestation of His goodness, glory, grace and love. Glory to God!

RECOGNIZE TRUTH

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10)

The recognition and declaration of truth activates its power. Believe truth and declare it. That’s the way to walk consistently in God’s blessings.

Take for instance 1 John 5:13 NIV; it says, “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” Many have lived and died, never knowing that they had eternal life. They believed in Jesus all right, but no one ever emphasized to them that eternal life was their present-hour possession. They never recognized that truth; as a result, it wasn’t activated in their lives. That’s why I’m emphasizing it to you today. You’ve got to know it!

Again, Romans 8:10 NIV says, “But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.” Believe and affirm this about yourself always. The Spirit of God that you’ve received gives life to your body; therefore, your body is invigorated, quickened by that same Spirit.

When you activate these truths by your affirmation, it makes no difference the kind of sickness that tries to attack your body or the adversities you face; you’ll be impregnable. Glory to God! Jesus taught in Mark 11:23 that you’d have to say it, to have it. Philemon 1:6 highlights your acknowledgment of God’s truths: who you are, and your heritage in Christ as the basis for an effectual life of ever-increasing glory and triumph. It says, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”

CONFESSION

The Word of God is working in me, because I’m born of the Word. I’m a victor in Christ Jesus; I have dominion over circumstances; I tame and rule the world through my faith proclamations. I’m forever making progress, fruitful and productive in my walk with God and service in His vineyard. My life is the testimony of God’s grace. Hallelujah!

So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed (Acts 19:20).

Thursday 18th, August.
Pastor Chris

The Bible tells us that Jesus ministered to multitudes when He walked the streets of Israel. On one occasion, He preached to a crowd on the shore of Lake Galilee and the Bible specifically records that a vast multitude of people pushed to get close to Him to hear the Word of God (Luke 5:1).
Jesus preached that the Kingdom of heaven had come and that they should repent from their sins and get into the Kingdom that He had come to set up (Mark 1:14-15). But instead of believing in Him and getting into His Kingdom, they rejected Him. He was crucified; albeit, it all fulfilled the plan and purpose of God.
Then came the apostles; they too went forth preaching that the Kingdom, which Jesus had come to set up, is real, and that Jesus is God’s Son, and that even though they crucified Him, God raised Him from the dead (Acts 2:22-24). They preached that Jesus is alive and that He’s been appointed by God to be the judge of the living and the dead (Acts 10:42). Hallelujah!
The first day that Peter would preach this message, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, the Bible says it was to a large crowd, and three thousand of them gave their hearts to Christ (Acts 2:41). The next time he preached, five thousand people gave their hearts to Christ (Acts 4:4). Afterwards, it became a multitude that believed (Acts 6:2). From a multitude, it became “...a great multitude…” (Acts 14:1). Hallelujah!
It hasn’t changed in our day. We’re witnessing the greatest move of the Spirit in these last days. There’s been such unprecedented harvest of souls into the Kingdom, beyond what we’ve ever seen. The Word of God is growing mightily in the nations of the world and prevailing.

THE WORK, THE WAR AND THE WALK

For the weapons of our warfare are not
carnal, but mighty through God to the
pulling down of strong holds
(2 Corinthians 10:4).

We have the work of Christianity, the war of
Christianity, and the walk of Christianity. For the work of Christianity, the Lord has made tools available for us to effectively carry out His work. These tools are determined by the specific job description given for the work.

For instance, in reconciling men to God, we need to know where the people are and how to reach them. This clear description determines the kind of tools we use for our evangelical work, such as the different strategic outreaches we organize to reach people where they are, etc.

We’re in a spiritual warfare; we actively carry out onslaughts against the forces of darkness that try to resist us as we deliberately win souls into the Kingdom. Our tools or weapons of war are determined by the description and understanding of the adversary.

For example, the Bible clearly identifies for us the tools David used when he faced the giant, Goliath of Gath; they were a stone, a sling, and the words he spoke. Study the account; you’d see the spirituality of David’s action. The weapons or tools of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God in discomfiting the adversary (2 Corinthians 10:4).

However, for our Christian walk, which refers to the everyday activities of our Christian life through which we relate with one another and relate with God, we don’t need “tools.” When you’re born again, living the Christian life is the most natural thing to do with your new nature in Christ. It’s natural for us to walk in
the light of who we are in Christ and in our heritage in Him.

Anything that makes you dependent on aids or “tools” is like “crutches” that a lame man needs to be able to move around. God doesn’t want you to live like that. It’s not His desire for you to depend on medications to stay alive. He wants you to live in
divine health every day, just as He wants you to live in His righteousness and manifest His glory and wisdom everywhere. Praise God!

CONFESSION
My life is the outworking of the Word. When I talk, it’s the Word; when I act, it’s the Word; I live out the Word in my daily walk. The Christian walk is my life; that’s the expression of my person. I work, war and walk according to the Word. Hallelujah! Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

SUNDAY 14

THE GOSPEL IS PROVABLE

📖 ════════
God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? (Hebrews 2:4).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
Years ago, as a young teenager studying the message of Jesus Christ and what He came to do, I thought: if Jesus needed to prove His message with miracles, signs and wonders, and the apostles followed suit, then I would need to do even more because I was going to be preaching to a generation that didn’t know about those miracles. I would need to prove to them that Jesus Christ is alive; He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. If I couldn’t prove it, how would I convince them?

God wants us to be able to prove the message of the Gospel. That’s why He calls us witnesses. The Bible says, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Who’s a witness? It’s someone who has proof, not just hearsay; he or she has firsthand evidence.

When you received the Holy Spirit, you received power—ability to bear witness of His truth, death and resurrection. With this power, you can do the same things Jesus did. It was this very power of the Holy Spirit that worked in Him to do the works of God.

Jesus effected changes, and now you can too, because you have His Name and His power is at work in you. His Spirit and life in us is proof that He was who He claimed to be: the son of God. Jesus Christ is alive, and we must prove it with miracles, signs and wonders. As you take the Gospel to your world today, go with the consciousness that you’ve been given power to produce proof that Jesus is alive. Praise God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your limitless power available to us today through the Holy Spirit and the Word! I yield myself to be taught, inspired and filled with the Holy Spirit, and the Word, carrying your divine presence to affect my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RECOGNIZE AND AFFIRM YOUR DIVINITY

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16)

Our opening verse isn’t a promise; it’s a law. It’s just like 2 Corinthians 5:17 that says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” This verse and our opening verse aren’t promises from God; they are the sovereign declarations of God.

The one who’s born again is a new creation; he or she has the life and nature of God. Being born again, your human life was supplanted by the life and nature of God. Now, your body houses a new type of life that’s unsusceptible and impregnable to sickness or disease. Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new! If you don’t know about this new life, you’ll never put it to work; you’ll be living the human life when you have the divine life in you.

Learn to activate the divine life within you by declaring and personalising the Word of God. Remember, the greatest miracles are performed with words. I wish you’d understand the power and energy of your words! The Bible says, “And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick…” (Isaiah 33:24). Why? It’s because they’ve recognized and embraced their divinity.

The Bible says in 2 Peter 1:4, “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature….” You’re an associate of a divine pantheon; you hail from above; your origin is divine. No wonder Jesus said, *“Isn’t it written in your law I have said ye are gods?” (John 10:34).

Recognize and affirm your divinity; practise it. The Bible says the communication, the everyday expression of your faith, becomes effectual as you recognize and affirm who you are in Christ (Philemon 1:6). Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Thank you, righteous Father, for your life in me; I’m divine; born to reign and rule in this world! My life is the testimony of your grace, glory and greatness. I’m blessed and the dispenser of your blessings and goodness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

(1 John 2:18).

The Bible is facing a lot of attacks today from
different quarters. We know that these attacks
are inspired by the spirit of antichrist that’s already
in the world: “…and this is that spirit of antichrist,
whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even
now already is it in the world” (1 John 4:3).

The spirit of antichrist is responsible for motivating
different individuals and organizations to portray the
Bible as untrustworthy and undependable. That’s the
spirit that propels them to publish books and promote films that seek to discourage faith in the Bible.

2 John 1:7 says, “For many deceivers are
entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus
Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an
antichrist.” Some of these people surprisingly claim to be Christians. But remember that in the Book of Job, the sons of God, referring to angels, came to present themselves to God on a certain day, and Satan also came among them (Job 1:6). It’s still happening today.

When God’s children gather before the Lord
in churches and fellowships, you’ll find others who
join them that aren’t of God. These have opened
themselves to be used by Satan to attack the Word
of God so that people will lose faith in the Bible; but
their efforts will fail as God’s people pray and preach
the truth.

Don’t pay attention to those who say the Bible is
old- fashioned and should be done away with. The Bible is still as relevant today as it was at any time in history. It’s God’s document of truth, and it’s trustworthy and dependable. Let your faith in it be unshakeable.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the power of your
Word, its consistency, reliability, dependability and
trustworthiness from age to age, and its capacity
and ability to take me through any situation in life
victoriously. I’m a doer of your Word! As I look into
the Word, I’m transfigured in the glory of the realities
that I see: pictures and visions of glory, success and
excellence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
