‘DO IT IN SECRET’

FASTING ONLY TO BE SEEN BY GOD

“ ‘Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.’ ” [Matthew 6:16-18]

‘DO IT IN SECTRET’

SECRET PRAYER

Prayer is the channel by which we are to communicate with our Father.

Are we then to shout out our prayers so as to prove that the Lord hears us?

The Lord says, “ ‘And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.’ ” [Matthew 6:5-15]

Therefore, keep everything personal while in prayer, and you shall see the hand of the Lord working in your life.

‘DO IT IN SECRET’

A. CHARITABLE DEEDS

How many times do we hhelp the needy and seek to be glorified for the works we have done?

The Lord says, “ ‘Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.’ ” [Matthew 6:1-4]

There is no need to “sound a trumpet”. Do what you are called to do; and in all things, may you seek always to ascribe all glory, honor, and praise to Him—who is the root of all blessings, that you may be a channel of blessing unto others.

“he who believes in Me”

Whom do you believe in? If it is Christ, you have the right to become a child of God. Therefore, as His child, the Spirit of God dwells in you, and you are heirs with Christ in the heavenly kingdom [Romans 8:14-17].

What more value, then, has anything of this world over the heavenly? To please God is the yearning of those who are His children. Anything contrary has no place in the heart of those who confess to love God and have the faith of Jesus Christ. It is true; the just live by faith, and in this faith, there comes salvation [Romans 1:16,17].

Choose today have Christ, and you shall receive the gift of eternal life. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life...The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” [John 6:47; John 10:10]

If Christ is the first, center and last in our daily life, we will be consecrated to receive of all that has been promised for us as His children to receive. Therefore, have faith in Him, let Him lead the way, and the end shall prove a blessing.

SERVE HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART

“Your words have been harsh against Me,” Says the Lord, “Yet you say, ‘What have we spoken against You?’ You have said, ‘It is useless to serve God; What profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, And that we have walked as mourners Before the Lord of hosts? So now we call the proud blessed, For those who do wickedness are raised up; They even tempt God and go free.’”

Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name.

“They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them
As a man spares his own son who serves him.” Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him. [Malachi 3:13-18]

Serve the Lord with all your heart. It may not be an easy road, but with God you shall overcome. Serve much more, even now, with all your strength; for the hour draweth nigh when the Lord shall appear in the skies, to take us home. To those who remain faithful they shall be made His jewels, He will spare them and they shall be His people. It is no loss; serve the Lord with all your heart!

“You are Mine.”

“But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior....” ” [Isaiah 43:1-3]

The Lord is with His children, and He has promised to be with them all the time. As a child of God, there is no need to worry, for the father is leading all the way, and He is taking care of all your needs.

He therefore calls for us to do His will, to obey His commands, and we shall surely see His blessings flow into our lives 😊.

He says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” [Matthew 6:33]

What manner of love, and what amount of blessing, has the Lord set apart for His children, who will walk in accordance to His will!

Therefore, let us meditate daily upon these things, that we may not loose sight of the blessings the Lord has set aside for us.

TAKE UP THE WISDOM OF THE LORD

“Receive my instruction, and not silver, And knowledge rather than choice gold; For wisdom is better than rubies, And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her. “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, And find out knowledge and discretion.” ”[Proverbs 8:10-12]

The Word of God says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.”[Proverbs 1:7]

So, therefore, to His children who understand the value of wisdom, He says, “ My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.” [Proverbs 2:1-5]

“Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?” [1 Corinthians 1:18-25]

Let us hearken to His voice, that we might be found wise in the latter end.

STAND FOR GOD

The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one. [Psalm 14:1-3]

Therefore,

Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved. [Psalm 15]

Stand for God always, and you shall receive the sure reward 😊.
