How amazing is it then, that what God has prepared for us is greater than anything that our eyes have seen or our ears have heard?

It is even greater than anything we could have imagined in our hearts! Our God is a creative God.

What he has in store for us is so far beyond anything we can ever think about! How exciting to know that we "ain't seen nothing yet"!

The life we live, as Christians, is not just about focusing on what we have received. It is also about what we give.

We are not to selfishly sit on this free gift we have received and only be concerned about our selfish interests.

We are commanded to exercise the love we have received, by being loving towards others as well.

God expects us to reenact the love he expressed towards us, to the people we come across in our daily lives.

Jonah 2:1-2

Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly, And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

Inspiration.....!!

Jonah cried out to God from the belly of the whale. What a place for a prayer meeting! This should teach us that there is not place on earth where we cannot or should not pray to God.

There is no situation we can be in where he will be unable to hear us and deliver us.

It was as if Jonah was dead and gone and the fish's belly was his tomb, but God heard him and brought him back.

Hebrews 1:13

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

How peculiar the phrase "purged our sins" would seem in this list of attributes and actions of Christ would seem if we were not so used to the idea!

He who possesses and reveals perfectly the nature of God the Father, who created the world by his mere command, and who sits even now ruling over the universe at his Father's side, "by himself purged our sins. "

He who was higher than the heavens stooped to bear the sins of his people to the cruel cross of Calvary, there to purge them all away in the flow of his precious blood!

Prayer for the Day;

O risen Saviour, who once bore the wrath of God in my place on Calvary's tree, you are exalted far above all and yet are lowly of heart and full of compassion.
You combine in one Person perfect humanity and perfect divinity. In you, love and truth unite in perfect harmony; in you, majesty and humility embrace and hold sweet communion.
May we see in you all of this glory, and may the sight of it transform us and excite in us a spirit of true worship and reverence. Amen.

Romans 6:13

6 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Temptations abound all around us. We're tempted at every turn-- some more than others, some in different areas than others-- but we're all tempted.

The sin is not in the temptation. It is in the yielding to the temptation. This scripture reminds us that we are not supposed to use our bodies as instruments of sin.

We are not supposed to use our bodies as instruments of unrighteousness. We are supposed to present ourselves to God and everything about ourselves--our entire bodies, our entire beings, we're supposed to submit to God as instruments of righteousness.

We're supposed to allow our bodies to be used in the service of God, to give Him our heart, our hands, our feet, our eyes, our ears. We're called to use every member of our body.

We can't worship God with a heart and be unrighteous with our mouths when we're saying things about people or causing strife. We can't worship God in our souls and use our hands to cause harm to people.

We have to worship God with all of our hearts with all of our minds and use our bodies in a righteous way in service to a holy God. To do anything else goes against the will of God.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Part of being a Christian is humbling ourselves and realizing that without God, our lives truly means nothing.

We are to acknowledge that we have made a conscious choice to turn away from the bad deeds and sinful habits, and we have turned to the holy life God has presented before us.

As believers it is our duty to seek the face of our Lord Jesus Christ in season and out of season.

We are also supposed to know and believe when we seek the face of our Almighty God and confess our inequities before Him, He is able to forgive us and heal our lives.

7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

That is the expections of the Lord. We are supposed to read and understand His word so that we may prosper.

This prosperity is not a prosperity of the world but the heavenly prosperity.

When we obey the word of God and do exactly what it tells us to do we will enjoy the goodness and mercies of God.
