DAY 2 – DAILY DEVOTION
THE LEVEL OF COMMITMENT REQUIRED FOR THE KINGDOM
Sub-theme: Kingdom First, Even Above Good Things

In Luke 9:59–60 Jesus tells a man, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.”

He was not attacking family or culture – He was showing that even good things must never replace God’s first place in our lives. Sometimes the real idol is not a bad thing, but a good thing in the wrong position. 🙏👑

Take time to read today’s poster, reflect on your priorities, and share with someone.

DAY 1 – DAILY DEVOTION
THE LEVEL OF COMMITMENT REQUIRED FOR THE KINGDOM
Sub-theme: Counting the Cost

“Foxes have holes and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” (Luke 9:58)

Are we following Jesus for comfort, or for who He is?
Today’s devotion challenges us to think about a faith that still obeys when it’s hard, still serves when no one claps, and still follows when there is no “place to lay your head.” 🙏🔥

Take a moment to read the poster, reflect, and share with someone who needs this reminder.

Sunday’s Sermon: 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗱 ✨

📖 On Sunday we were reminded from 1 Chronicles 28:9 of these powerful truths:

1️⃣ 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲’𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝗱 🙏
Just like Solomon could not inherit David’s walk with God, we too must personally seek, know and walk with God for ourselves. Salvation, intimacy and obedience are not transferable.

2️⃣ 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 📖
We are called not only to know about God, but to truly know Him through His Word and in prayer. The more we know Him, the more we trust Him, love Him and obey Him.

3️⃣ 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 ❤️ 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 🧠
God is not looking for half-hearted service. He searches our hearts and understands our thoughts. He desires loyalty, sincerity and willingness—service that flows from love, not pressure.

4️⃣ 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗛𝗶𝗺 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 🔎✨
Those who seek Him with all their hearts will find Him. Our help, identity and hope are found in Him alone.

💬 “You cannot inherit someone else’s relationship with God.
You must SEEK HIM, KNOW HIM, and Serve Him for Yourself.”
— Rev. Stephen Njoroge 🎙️

🕊️ May we be a church that is raising disciples and transforming lives by seeking, knowing and serving God wholeheartedly.

🔥 Let this word continue working in you this week.

GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOUR NAME – SERIES SUMMARY 🙏✨

This week at Apostolic Faith Church Lenana, we have been going deeper and deeper in our sermon series:

GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOUR NAME
Sermon Series by Rev. Stephen Njoroge

We have seen through the Word of God that even when people overlook us, delay us, or forget us, God never does:

🔹 DAVID
He felt forgotten in the cave, surrounded by people in distress and in debt, yet God still had a throne prepared for him.

🔹 JOSEPH
He was forgotten by the cupbearer in prison, but at God’s appointed time, he moved from prison to palace in a single day.

🔹 MORDECAI
His good deed was written and ignored for years, but in one night God disturbed the king’s sleep and his honour could no longer be delayed.

🔹 ZION (GOD’S PEOPLE)
They said, “The LORD has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me,” but God answered:

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”
Isaiah 49:15–16 📖

From the cave to the prison, from the city gate to Zion’s sorrow, one message has been clear:

- Human memory can fail.
- Human love can change.
- Human systems can overlook you.

But God’s love and memory do not fail.
You are not just noticed – you are engraved on His hands. ✋❤️

To everyone who has followed, read, shared, commented, and prayed with us through this series:
THANK YOU 🙌

May the Lord Himself remind you in every season that:

- Your tears are seen. 😢
- Your labour is remembered. 💪
- Your story is not over. 📖
- Your name is known in heaven. 🌍✨

From Apostolic Faith Church Lenana and Rev. Stephen Njoroge:
We appreciate you, we love you, and we are praying that you will walk in the confidence of this truth:

ENGRAVED ON HIS HANDS ✋

“But Zion said, ‘ to me;
the Lord has forgotten me.’
‘Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands…’”
Isaiah 49:14–16 📖

We are continuing with our sermon series:
God Has Not Forgotten Your Name
Sermon by Rev. Stephen Njoroge

God answers the fear of being forgotten with a very intimate picture:
a mother and her nursing baby.

Think about it:

A nursing mother is deeply connected to her child.
She feels when the baby is hungry.
She hears the baby’s cry even when others don’t notice.
Her heart and body are both tuned to that little life.
If there is anyone we expect never to forget,
it is a loving mother with her baby at her breast.

Yet God says something shocking:

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!”

In other words:

Even the strongest human love has limits.
Even a mother’s love can change, grow cold, or fail.
Even the person you trust most can forget you.
But God’s love is greater than a mother’s love.
His memory is more faithful than a mother’s memory.
His compassion is deeper than a mother’s compassion.

God is saying:

“Even if the one person you thought would never leave you
or forget you actually does…
I will still be here.
I will not forget you.”

Then He adds:

“See, I have engraved you
on the palms of my hands.”

Not written on a note that can be misplaced.
Not saved in a phone that can be lost.
Engraved – permanently marked on His hands.
So even if:

Family forgets you,
Friends move on,
People you helped no longer remember your name,
God’s word to you is:

“A mother might forget…
but I will not forget you.
You are engraved on My hands.”

You may feel forgotten by people,
but you are forever remembered by God.

💬 QUESTION:
Has there ever been a moment when you felt let down or forgotten by someone close,
but later experienced God’s faithfulness holding you?

WHEN YOUR GOOD DEEDS ARE IGNORED 💭

> “What honor and recognition has Mordecai received for this?” the king asked.
> “Nothing has been done for him,” they answered.
> Esther 6:3 📖

We are continuing with our sermon series:
**God Has Not Forgotten Your Name**
Sermon by Rev. Stephen Njoroge

Mordecai once uncovered a plot to kill the king.
His actions saved the kingdom.
His story was written in the king’s records…
and then nothing happened. No reward. No promotion. No “thank you.”

Life went on as if his sacrifice meant nothing.
A wicked man (Haman) was being honoured,
while Mordecai sat at the gate, unnoticed and unrewarded.

Maybe you’ve been there:
- You worked hard, but someone else got the credit.
- You stood for what was right, and it cost you.
- You helped quietly, and nobody even said “thank you.”

For a long time, it looked like Mordecai’s story was over.
But **one night**, the king could not sleep.
He asked for the book of records to be read,
and they “happened” to read the page about Mordecai.

That same night became the **turning point**.
Mordecai was lifted, honoured, and publicly celebrated.
The very man who planned his destruction
was forced to proclaim his greatness.

When people forget your faithfulness,
**God does not.**

When your good works are hidden,
**heaven’s records are still open.**

The God who “disturbs the king’s sleep”
knows how to bring your name up
at the right time, in the right room,
before the right people.

So keep doing good.
Keep walking in integrity.
Keep serving God and others.
Your harvest is not in man’s hands;
it is in God’s hands. 🙏

💬 **QUESTION:**
Is there an area where you feel your efforts or faithfulness have gone unnoticed?
Share it (briefly) in the comments so we can stand with you in prayer.

JOSEPH: FORGOTTEN BY MEN, REMEMBERED BY GOD
Key Text: Genesis 40:14–15, 23; Genesis 41 📖

Sermon Series: God Has Not Forgotten Your Name
Sermon by Rev. Stephen Njoroge

We are continuing with our sermon series, going deeper and deeper into how God remembers His people.

“But the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.”
Genesis 40:23

Joseph helped the king’s cupbearer in prison.
He interpreted his dream and asked for one simple favour:

“But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness;
mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison.”
Genesis 40:14

The man was released.
He went back to the palace.
His life improved.

And he forgot Joseph.

Two more years passed.
Two more years of a righteous man sitting in a prison he did not deserve.
No updates. No calls. No help. No explanation.

Maybe you know that feeling:

You helped someone in their lowest moment… now they act like you don’t exist.
You stood with a family in crisis… now they ignore your calls.
You served faithfully… but no one remembers your sacrifice.
But while the cupbearer forgot Joseph, God did not.

At the right time, God gave Pharaoh a dream that no one could interpret.
Suddenly, the cupbearer remembered Joseph.
In one day, Joseph moved from prison to palace,
from forgotten to favoured.

God’s timing can feel slow, but it is never late.
People may forget your name, your help, your kindness —
but heaven does not forget.

“For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work
and the love you have shown him…”
Hebrews 6:10

You might feel stuck in a “prison season”,
but God is already preparing the “Pharaoh moment”
that will require exactly what He put inside you.

You are not forgotten.
You are being positioned.

💬 QUESTION:
Have you ever been remembered or helped in a way that could only be God’s timing?
Share briefly in the comments to encourage someone who is still waiting.

WHEN YOU FEEL FORGOTTEN… 💭

“How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever?”
Psalm 13:1 📖

We continue our sermon series:
Sermon Series: God Has Not Forgotten Your Name
Sermon by Rev. Stephen Njoroge

In the sermon we saw David – a man anointed by God, chosen to be king – yet for a long season he did not look like a king. 👑➡️🕳️

Instead of a throne, he had a cave.
Instead of an army, he had people in distress and in debt (1 Samuel 22).
Instead of comfort, he was afraid, running from Saul, wondering if he would even survive.

It is in seasons like that David cried:
“How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever?” 😢

Maybe you feel the same:
Others are getting jobs, getting married, having children, progressing in life…
But you are still waiting, still praying, still wondering:
“Lord, have You forgotten me?” 🙏

Yet in the same Psalm, David makes a choice:
“I will sing the LORD’s praise,
for he has been good to me.”
Psalm 13:6 🎶

David teaches us:
- You can be honest with God about your tears.
- You can ask Him hard questions.
- And at the same time, you can still choose to trust that He is good, and He has not forgotten you. 💛

You may FEEL forgotten,
but you are never UNKNOWN to God. 🔍✝️

QUESTION:
When you feel forgotten, which Bible verse or worship song helps you keep trusting God?
Share it in the comments to encourage someone today. 💬

GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOUR NAME

There are seasons when we feel left behind. Others move forward while we are still waiting, still praying, still crying. But God says:

“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”
Isaiah 49:16

✨ God has not forgotten your name.
✨ God has not forgotten your tears.
✨ God has not forgotten the covenant you made with Him.

Mordecai was forgotten in the king’s records – but God remembered him.
Joseph was forgotten in prison – but God remembered him.

✨ YOU ARE PRECIOUS IN GOD’S SIGHT! ✨

Do you know how precious you are? God paid the highest price for you, not with silver or gold, but with the blood of His only Son, Jesus Christ. You were bought at a price that cannot be measured by earthly standards. 📖

Stop listening to voices that tell you you're not important or valuable enough. You are chosen, honored, and deeply loved by God.

As Isaiah 43:4 reminds us: "Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you." God gave everything for YOU! 🙌

You are not an accident. You are a child of the King, part of God's chosen people (1 Peter 2:9). No matter what you're going through today, remember: God is with you, He cares about you, and your tomorrow is in His hands. 🛡️

Don't associate yourself with cheap deals when you've been purchased by the most precious blood! ❤️
