Jesus is the Revelation of God's Mercy.
___________________________________________

Throughout Scripture, the character of God is revealed in many ways, but perhaps the most profound expression of God's nature is found in His mercy. This mercy, fully manifested in the person of Jesus Christ, is at the heart of the gospel message. Jesus Christ is not only the embodiment of God’s love and justice but also the ultimate revelation of His mercy toward humanity.

1.God’s Mercy Displayed in Christ.
--------------------------------------------------------

When we consider God’s mercy, it is impossible to overlook the central role of Jesus Christ. Scripture tells us in Titus 3:4-5, "But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy." This mercy is unearned and unmerited; it is a gift from God. Jesus' life, death, and resurrection stand as the ultimate testament to this mercy, demonstrating God's desire to save rather than condemn.

In sending Jesus, God made a way for the reconciliation of humanity, even though we were deserving of judgment. As Ephesians 2:4-5 says, "But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved." Jesus' sacrifice on the cross is the clearest display of this divine mercy. Through His death, we are offered forgiveness and the opportunity for new life.

2. Mercy Over Judgment.
------------------------------------------

Jesus’ ministry on earth consistently displayed the priority of mercy over judgment. In John 8, when a woman caught in adultery was brought before Him, Jesus showed her mercy rather than the judgment the law demanded. His words, "Neither do I condemn you. Go now and leave your life of sin" (John 8:11), reveal the heart of God—a heart that seeks restoration rather than punishment. Jesus demonstrated that mercy does not ignore justice; rather, it fulfills it in a way that brings healing and hope.

James 2:13 reminds us, "Mercy triumphs over judgment." Jesus’ life was a continuous reflection of this principle. Whether it was healing the sick, dining with sinners, or extending grace to the outcasts of society, His actions proclaimed that God’s mercy is not limited by human standards of worthiness. He came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10), offering mercy to those who needed it most.

3.The Cross: The Pinnacle of God’s Mercy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The ultimate revelation of God's mercy is seen in the cross. Jesus, who was sinless, took upon Himself the punishment for our sins. Romans 5:8 declares, "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." This act of sacrificial love and mercy is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. Through the cross, we are spared from the judgment we deserve and instead are offered eternal life.

This mercy is available to all, regardless of past failures or current condition. In Christ, we find a God who does not turn away from sinners but runs toward them with open arms, offering grace, forgiveness, and mercy.

4.Jesus, Our High Priest of Mercy.
---------------------------------------------------------

After His resurrection, Jesus ascended to heaven, where He now intercedes for us as our merciful High Priest. Hebrews 4:15-16 beautifully captures this, stating, "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet He did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

Through Jesus, we have constant access to God’s mercy. He understands our struggles, weaknesses, and failures, and He intercedes on our behalf, offering us grace and mercy in every moment.

Conclusion.

Jesus is the living revelation of God's mercy, embodying the heart of the Father in every word, action, and sacrifice. His life and death show us a God who does not delight in punishment but in redemption. Through Him, we receive mercy instead of judgment, forgiveness instead of condemnation, and life instead of death.

In Christ, God’s mercy is made manifest to the world. It is through Jesus that we see how deeply God loves us and how willing He is to restore and redeem. As we encounter this mercy, let us also extend it to others, reflecting the love and compassion of Christ in our own lives.

He is Hashem Eloheinu.
His Judgments are in All the Earth

The phrase "He is Hashem Eloheinu, His judgments are in all the earth" highlights a fundamental truth about God's sovereignty and His righteous rule over all creation. As both Creator and Judge, the Lord's will and decrees reach every corner of the world, impacting every nation, person, and living thing.

1.God's Righteousness is Universal
-------------------------------------------------------

Psalm 105:7 declares, "He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth." This verse powerfully reminds us that God's authority is not limited to a particular people or place but is universal. His judgments are righteous, and they transcend human understanding, extending beyond cultural, geographical, or temporal boundaries. In other words, God's justice is not restricted to Israel or to those who acknowledge Him but is active in all the earth.

This speaks of the righteousness of God. He does not judge arbitrarily, nor does He show favoritism (Acts 10:34). He is just in all His ways and perfect in His actions. As Moses declared in Deuteronomy 32:4, "The Rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is He."

2.God’s Judgments are Expressions of His Righteousness
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The judgments of God, as seen throughout Scripture, are not only punitive but are also corrective and restorative. They are an expression of His righteousness and His commitment to upholding truth. Psalm 97:2 reminds us, "Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne." The righteousness of God demands that wrong is judged, and right is upheld. However, in His mercy, He often allows time for repentance and restoration before bringing judgment, as we see in the stories of the prophets and Israel.

When nations and individuals violate God’s standards of righteousness, His judgments come to restore balance and reveal His justice. Ezekiel 18:25 declares, "Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is My way not just? Is it not your ways that are unjust?" God’s ways are always right, even when they seem mysterious to us.

3.God’s Righteousness Through Christ
-----------‐----------------------------------------------------

Ultimately, God's righteousness is most profoundly displayed through Jesus Christ. Romans 3:25-26 tells us that God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, to demonstrate His righteousness. Through Christ, God maintains His justice while offering mercy to humanity. As we await the final judgment, we are reminded that God’s righteousness is fulfilled through His Son, who reigns in justice and truth.

In conclusion, Hashem Eloheinu, the Lord our God, is sovereign, and His judgments are active in all the earth. His righteousness is the foundation of everything He does. Whether through discipline or mercy, God's justice always prevails, revealing His holy character and unchanging standards of right and wrong. As believers, we rest in the assurance that the Lord's judgments are always righteous, and His kingdom is built on truth, justice, and mercy.

Let us continually seek His righteousness, trusting in His judgments, and awaiting His ultimate reign of justice and peace.

The Consequences of Losing Your Saltiness as a Christian
-------------------------------------------------------------------
As those called into the Kingdom of God, Christians are likened to salt and light in a world plagued by darkness and corruption. Both salt and light serve as purifying agents, but here we will focus on the vital role of salt.

1. The Role of Salt
___________________

As a Christian, you are called to be the salt of the earth, not just temporarily, but continually. Salt hinders the advance of corruption, as seen in Luke 14:34-35 and Colossians 4:5-6. However, if salt loses its savor, it becomes flat, tasteless, and ultimately useless.

2.The Danger of Losing Your Saltiness
_________________________________________

Losing your saltiness, in spiritual terms, is akin to becoming foolish. This means walking without the infilling of the Holy Spirit, similar to the five foolish virgins in Matthew 25. Losing saltiness equates to losing the anointing and the Spirit of God—Ichabod! This is why Jesus warns that when you lose your saltiness, the end result is Gehenna, where you will be salted with fire (Mark 9:49).

3. The Call to Holiness
________________________

Beloved, you are called to live pure and holy lives, just as He who called you is holy and pure. Anyone born of God does not continue to sin. You are called to be the salt of the earth; let your character, speech, and demeanor reveal Christ Jesus in you so that our God and Father may be glorified in this fallen world. Turn away from apostasy and falsehood. Turn away from deception lest you lose your saltiness and face eternal damnation.

Conclusion
_____________

Jesus Christ is coming! As followers of Christ, we must strive to maintain our saltiness by living in accordance with God's wisdom and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Bible References:

Mark 9:50
"Salt is good (beneficial), but if salt has lost its saltness, how will you restore [the saltness to] it? Have salt within yourselves, and be at peace and live in harmony with one another."

Luke 14:34-35
"Salt is good [an excellent thing], but if salt has lost its strength and has become saltless (insipid, flat), how shall its saltness be restored? It is fit neither for the land nor for the manure heap; men throw it away. He who has ears to hear, let him listen and consider and comprehend by hearing!"

Matthew 5:13
"You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste (its strength, its quality), how can its saltness be restored? It is not good for anything any longer but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot by men."

The Unfathomable Love of God
----------------------------------------------------
What incredible love is this?

While we were yet sinners, JEHOVAH ADONAI, in His boundless love and immeasurable affection, cherished us so deeply that He sacrificed His ONE AND ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, CHRIST JESUS, THE MESSIAH and THE ANOINTED ONE. So that whoever believes in, trusts in, clings to, and relies on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

What unfathomable love is this?

John 3:16
[16]For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:8
[8]But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 John 4:9-10
[9]This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
[10]This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

**The Son of Man: Divine Majesty and Humble Humanity**

The Hebrew and Aramaic idiom "son of man" translates to "human being." However, the figure described in Daniel 7:13-14 as "like a son of man" suggests a being who appears human but possesses qualities that surpass mere humanity. This majestic yet humble figure's exact identity remains unspecified, but his divine role is unmistakable. The Most High has appointed him to reign over an eternal, universal kingdom that will surpass all other nations. Furthermore, he embodies his own people, the holy people of the Most High, who will also share in this Son of Man's dominion over all peoples and nations, as noted in Daniel 7:22.

The context surrounding the Son of Man in Daniel 7 indicates his divine characteristics. His arrival "with the clouds of heaven" (Daniel 7:13) suggests a heavenly origin. In the Hebrew Scriptures, the imagery of clouds is often associated with the divine presence. Psalms 68:4, 97:2, and Nahum 1:3 depict the Lord riding on the clouds, emphasizing His majesty and power.

In the book of Exodus, the Lord God covers Himself with a cloud to guide and protect His people (Exodus 13:21-22; 19:9). This motif of the cloud signifies the divine presence and guidance. In the New Testament, this theme continues as God's people are promised to be caught up into the clouds at the resurrection (1 Thessalonians 4:17), mirroring Jesus' ascension into a cloud (Acts 1:9).

Jesus explicitly identifies Himself with this Son of Man figure. His references in the Gospels and other New Testament writings confirm this connection:

- Matthew 24:30; 26:64
- Mark 13:26
- Luke 21:27
- John 12:34
- Acts 7:56
- Hebrews 2:6
- Revelation 1:13; 14:14

These passages emphasize Jesus’ role as the prophesied Son of Man who comes with divine authority and glory. He not only fulfills the prophecies of Daniel but also solidifies His identity as both fully human and fully divine, destined to rule an everlasting kingdom. His association with the clouds underscores His heavenly origin and divine mission, reinforcing the image of the Son of Man as a majestic figure endowed with both divine and human attributes.

In sum, the "Son of Man" is a profound title that encapsulates the mystery of Jesus' nature and mission, highlighting His humble humanity and exalted divinity, and pointing to His ultimate authority and eternal reign.

Embracing Righteousness Amidst Adversity.
________________________________________

Living a life that is pleasing to God may lead to conflict and opposition from those who do not share the same values and beliefs. In Matthew 5:10-12, Jesus teaches, "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

While standing for truth may bring adversity, it also brings the assurance of God's favor and the promise of eternal rewards.

Matthew 5:10-12 - Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

-Acts 5:29 - Peter and the other apostles replied: 'We must obey God rather than human beings!'

The early Christians faced intense persecution for their faith, yet they remained steadfast in their commitment to follow God's commandments above all else. Despite the threats and opposition they encountered, they continued to boldly proclaim the gospel, ultimately ushering in a powerful movement that transformed the world. We should also emulate this at this hour and boldly proclaim the Eternal Gospel of The Kingdom of God.

Shalom!
