LETS TALK JESUS
Mark 6:56 ( NKJV)
Wherever He entered into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.
Explanation
This verse describes the overwhelming response to Jesus everywhere He went. Whether He
entered villages, cities, or rural countryside, people brought their sick into public
spaces—especially marketplaces—hoping for healing. Their faith was so strong that they
believed even touching the hem of His garment would be enough to make them whole. This
echoes the earlier healing of the woman with the issue of blood, showing that her testimony had
spread and inspired others. The verse concludes with a powerful summary: everyone who
touched Him was healed. Jesus' presence brought total restoration to all who approached Him
with faith, demonstrating both His compassion and His divine power.
Application
This verse teaches believers the importance of coming to Jesus with faith-filled expectation.
Those who sought Him did not hesitate, and their belief in His healing power moved them to
action. Their example challenges us to:
Bring our needs to Christ boldly
Intercede for others who cannot come on their own
Draw near with confidence and expectation
The fact that every person who touched Him was healed reminds us that Jesus is fully sufficient to meet every need—spiritual, emotional, or physical. We are invited to draw near to Him with confidence, trusting that He brings wholeness to all who reach for Him in faith.
