LETS TALK JESUS

Mark 6:56 ( NKJV)
Wherever He entered into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.
Explanation

This verse describes the overwhelming response to Jesus everywhere He went. Whether He

entered villages, cities, or rural countryside, people brought their sick into public

spaces—especially marketplaces—hoping for healing. Their faith was so strong that they

believed even touching the hem of His garment would be enough to make them whole. This

echoes the earlier healing of the woman with the issue of blood, showing that her testimony had

spread and inspired others. The verse concludes with a powerful summary: everyone who

touched Him was healed. Jesus' presence brought total restoration to all who approached Him

with faith, demonstrating both His compassion and His divine power.

Application

This verse teaches believers the importance of coming to Jesus with faith-filled expectation.

Those who sought Him did not hesitate, and their belief in His healing power moved them to

action. Their example challenges us to:

Bring our needs to Christ boldly
Intercede for others who cannot come on their own
Draw near with confidence and expectation
The fact that every person who touched Him was healed reminds us that Jesus is fully sufficient to meet every need—spiritual, emotional, or physical. We are invited to draw near to Him with confidence, trusting that He brings wholeness to all who reach for Him in faith.

VIRTUAL YOUTH SEMINAR DAY THREE | IGNITING THE FUTURE | WEDNESDAY 29TH APRIL, 2026

LETS TALK JESUS

Mark 6:50 ( NKJV)
For they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, Be of good cheer It is I do not be afraid.

Explain the Verse

This verse captures the moment when Jesus confronts the disciples' fear with His reassuring

presence. The disciples all saw Him walking on the water, and their fear intensified because

they still did not recognize Him. Their troubled reaction reflects the overwhelming nature of their

situation—the darkness, the storm, their exhaustion, and the unexpected appearance of Jesus

in a supernatural way. Yet Jesus responds immediately, speaking words that calm their panic

and reveal His identity. His declaration, "It is I," echoes the divine self-identification used by God

in the Old Testament, indicating both His presence and authority. His command, "Do not be

afraid," shows that His presence drives out fear and brings peace even in the midst of chaos.

Application

This verse teaches believers that Jesus speaks directly into their fear with words of assurance

and identity. His response to fear is not rebuke but revelation—He reminds His followers who

He is. When life becomes overwhelming and fear takes hold, Jesus' message is the same:

Take courage; I am here. Fear loses power when believers recognize the presence of Christ

in the midst of their struggles. This verse encourages Christians to:

Listen for His voice
Trust His presence
Allow His identity to replace anxiety with courage
