Commitment in Serving God following His Laws and Instructions.

Scripture. 1st Kings 6:2-13.

An interesting concept about God is that He gave us a will and this bring about the power of choice that we have in our lives.

Serving God is a choice that we have. We can decide to do other things but in serving God; there are regulations the Lord wants us to follow for us to achieve His purpose and the ultimate price.

This involves committing ourselves willingly to do the work of God. In the Kingdom of God, there is plenty of work (harvest) yet less laborers.

Following the instructions of God, we need to be dedicated and have obedience to God. Remember, “Obedience is better than sacrifice”.

We also need to be prayerful for us to know what God wants us to do. We get a sense of direction from God. In God’s work, there are very many obstacles (principalities) that the devils brings to us. We need protection, provision, grace, mercy and all these come from God and we seek them through worship and prayer.

After all this toil, we shall receive the ultimate price from our Father in Heaven.

Let us be diligent in serving our Master who owns us. He has given us limited time to maximize in accomplishing His purpose and change the world for His glory.

Blessed Week ahead.

Pleasure and riches lead merely to boredom and despair. Only a relationship with the one who created us and continues to care for us will truly satisfy. Troubles and uncertainty will continue to plague us, but even during these times we can find joy in a secure trust in our father.

Let not your heart be troubled.

Fruitful day ahead.

THE LORD IS OUR HELPER
Scripture: 1st Peter 2:9, Isaiah 43:1-6, Psalms 8:4-6, 46:1, 124:8, 115:11, Isaiah 35:4

We face many challenges in life but God ultimately loves and considers us.

Man is likened to God and He created man for dominion and for the man to have a relationship (constant fellowship) with HIM.

We are a chosen generation.
God is going to give us grace and help in all circumstances therefore; we should not fear in any situation. Fear is not our portion since God is together with us.

God has built us to worship and to represent Him on earth.

God will creates a way where there seems to be no way.

God is our help and our shield.

FEAR NOT, GOD IS ALWAYS THERE FOR US.

Shalom, Fruitful Week Ahead.

FAITH IN GOD PART TWO.
Scripture: Romans 4: 13, 14:23, Hebrews 10:36-39, 11:6, Ephesians 6:16, 3:12, Galatians 2:20

Faith is one of the foundations of our salvation.
Whatever we do or attain without having from faith is sin.
We should not have doubt in our lives.

Importance of faith in our lives.
1. We are able to please God.
We should not do things to please men but to please God as the ultimately goal. God is the master of all and we should trust in Him fully.
2. Faith is a shield/weapon to the believers from the enemy.
3. Faith gives us power to overcome the world and that is one major objectives in salvation.
4. We’re forgiven by faith (Acts 10: 43)
5. Faith gives us confidence and we should not fear since it is of the devil.
6. Faith in God gives us life.
7. God makes His home in our lives. Jesus dwell in our lives by faith.
8. We are justified by faith (Romans 5:1).
9. We are saved by faith (1st Peter 1:6-9).
10. We are in God’s family by faith (Gal 3:26, John 1:12)
11. Our prayers are answered through faith.

Things we should do to gain or strengthen our faith.
1. Hearing the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
2. Faith comes as a gift from God. (Ephesians 2:8, 1st Corinthians 12:7)
3. Faith will be built in us by listening to testimonies.
4. Faith will come through prayer.

FAITH IN GOD PART ONE.

Hebrews 11:6-8, Matthew 9:27-31
We need to have faith; it is all about believe.
Life as all about faith.

Definition: A complete trust in someone or something. An expression of hope for something better.

A substance of things hope for or evidence of things not seen.
We cannot receive anything without faith. It is faith that provokes what we desire from God. When you have faith, you have certainty that you are going to get what am hoping.

Faith is certainty of things hoped for. Faith is proof of things not seen and my faith will measure my tomorrow.

Faith without works is dead.
It all depends on my expectation and the effort put towards it.
The best faith that you can have is faith in God. The more you grow in faith, the more I grow in life.

Faith is relying completely on God.
Let us have faith in God. Remember the story of Abraham getting a son. We should not ask God how it would happen. We should just believe.

God does not like a Christian who does not have faith since it is not by power or by might. Let us not lack faith; we can lack money but we should not lack faith.

It is not by our own might.
Faith turns things around; faith in God and not in people or the government. A challenge to us as believers is that we do not grow in faith. Faith is the key to open God’s store of blessings. Every desire that we want or yarn is in God.

Faith does not look at the status but rather looks at the promises of God. We should not limit ourselves with what we have currently but see the possibility graced by God.

In summary, Faith is showing confidence in God. When the storm comes, we remain calm, it is an indication that we have full confidence in God.

Exercise your faith.

MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD.

Scripture: Psalms 121: 1-4, Psalms 46:1, Psalms 34:17, Psalms 54:4, Isaiah 41:8

NO MAN IS AN ISLAND
A man is a being that have so many weaknesses that needs help from God. Everyone is looking for refuge. We need help in all aspects of lives and we cannot do it on our own. There many challenges that all people are facing. Everyone faces challenges in his or her own life and in order to succeed we need help from above. This life has proven that money does not does not have the answer to everything.

WE NEED GOD'S HELP
Fellow human beings will fail us to some point but our God is always faithful. Always remember that, we have our God in heaven who is ready to help us and it is up to us to seek Him diligently. He is always ready to hear us and help us. He gives wisdom to those who seek it without find any fault.

A MAN WITHOUT GOD IS USELESS
There is no life without God and man cannot live without God. Before we knew Christ, we were all dead to God’s eyes because of our sins from our biological father Adam. It is was until Christ came and died for our sins for us to be saved.

GOD IS OUR ULTIMATE HELPER
We should put our trust in God and not in men or the government. God is always present in all times, in all conditions, in times of trouble or in times of plenty. Sometimes trouble comes and many of our friends abandon us but God is always there to help us in all situations. No matter what happens, fear not. Even when we have everything in this world, we still need to seek God diligently.

In any circumstance, fear not because our help comes from God.

Shalom and Blessed Week Ahead.

REWARDS OF HARD WORK

Scripture Genesis 31:36, 2:4-5, 2nd Thessalonians 3: Deuteronomy 28: 16:15, Proverbs 12:24, Genesis 29:1-10, 31:1, 24:10, Proverbs 21:5

We were created to work.

It is required of us to work with our own hands. Many Christians want to hear the message of prosperity but they miss the on God’s principle on work; that God will bless us through the work of our hands.

There is no such thing as luck but it is God who enables us to achieve our goals or go to the next level. How far we will go will also depend with our commitment to work and achieve our goals.

In God’s kingdom, there are no shortcuts but a process that elevates a person from one glory to another through hard work. It requires willingness, patience, tolerance, perseverance, discipline, time, dedication and sacrifice. All these requirements build on character.

Characters of a hard working person.
1. Never complains about work.
2. Never compares with anyone and never looks at whoever is around in order to work.
3. Always goes an extra mile.

Rewards of Diligence.
1. The people you work with will love you.
2. Hard work will build our character.
3. Hard work will help us achieve our dreams and goals.
4. Hard work will command respect for you.
5. Hard work raises confidence and self-esteem.
6. Hard work forever pays.
7. Hard work will inspire those who are around you.
8. Hard work will bring success into our lives.

In conclusion, “Hard work beats talent when talent does not won’t hard.”

There are not secrets to success but learning from failure, having perseverance and hard work that brings it.

Let us commit and work hard to whatever activity we put our hands to.

Blessed week ahead.

THE POWER OF COMMITMENT.

Luke 9:57, Ecclesiastes 9:10.

In order for us to keep pressing on, we need to be very committed in everything that we do. We have to strap our belts to commit to the work of God. We need to be serious in whatever we are doing. In everything we do, we should do it with all our might as if we are doing unto the Lord.

It is very dangerous to live a careless life. We can have big plans but without commitment, we can never achieve any of those plans or dreams. As Christians, we believe in faith but without actions, it is dead.

For commitment to be alive, we first need to have a vision. The vision needs a plan. A vision without a plan cannot be achieved because when I fail to plan, then plan to failure.

Commitment involves some vows.
Before commitment, we should consider the following:-
1. The outcome of the commitment.
2. The cost involved. Every commitment has some cost to pay.
3. The amount of sacrifice that is involved.

God’s work is not easy but with His grace, we can do exceedingly, abundantly and above all that we can imagine. Commitment will make us go out of our ways (going an extra mile or stretch beyond limit). There is a difference between commitment and interest. When a person is interested, He or She works based on circumstances (mostly favorable to them) but when committed, he/she does the work with no excuses to whatever circumstance facing him/her.

POINTS.
- We cannot be leaders if we are not committed.
- We are not failures.
- When we commit to something, we will never put the challenges in front of us to stop or block the goal or vision.
- Let us express our diligence towards a God given or any goal that we set to achieve.
- We need to be faithful and be loyal towards a set goal.
- Commitment cannot be realized when there is not faithfulness.
- Commitment is also about our determination and discipline.
- It also requires focus.
- Commitment will inconvenience us at certain times or seasons.
“The quality of a person’s life is directly proportional to the commitment”.
Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes.
May God help us to stay committed.

Blessed Week.

KEEP ON PRESSING
Each day is like a race. Imagine running a race without finishing it. Yes, there are challenges and you feel tired and you just want to quit but at the end of the day, there is a trophy and a price to win. If we do not finish the race, there is no price. Let us keep on pressing on to the finish because it is not in vain.

THE YEAR OF HARVEST: FEAR OF GOD.

Job 1:1, Genesis 17:1

Remember the last message about protecting our harvest through prayer? We need to continue in the fear of God in our lives in every season not only in this season of harvesting. We need to have total trust in God and we need to fear God. We need to be clear and blameless before God.

Fear is not literal in this context; it means to respect and obedience to the word of God. Obedience means to follow His word and to do His will. Disobedience is a sin and God hates sin. (Proverbs 18:13). He is not interested in sin. He wants us to choose righteousness.

What entails the fear of God?
1. Obeying His word.
2. Hate Sin.
3. Walking in submission of God.
Submission entails being obedience to authority ordained by God and following laws of the Land.
4. Depart from evil.
5. Heed to His commandments.
6. Using our God given gifts and talents.
When we are not using our gifts and talents for His purpose then we are not walking in the fear of God. God loves and blesses the people who walk in righteousness.

Advantages of Fearing God.
1. We gain the wisdom of God. (Psalms 101:10, Proverbs 1:10)
Wisdom will help us to live with the rest of the world.

2. We gain knowledge (Proverbs 1:7)

3. We prolong our lives (Proverbs 10:27)

4. When we fear God, we gain confidence in our lives. (Proverbs 14:26) The righteous of the Lord are as bold as the Lion.

5. It is the fountain of Life.

6. Gives life and satisfaction.

7. Its brings good health. (Proverbs 3:7-8)

8. It brings multiplication (Acts 31 :)

9. God reveals His secrets about the His kingdom. (Psalms 25:14)

10. Brings riches, honor and life. (Proverbs 22:4)
We need to follow the right way to God given riches that have no sorrow.

Let us continue serving our God and work our salvation in fear and trembling.

Blessed Week.

A YEAR OF HARVEST: PREPARATION

Luke 12:13, Proverbs 10:4

Harvest is an interesting concept in life. There is a lot of preparation from seed planting to weeding to waiting for the harvest. Sometimes is a painful process and it needs lots of patience.

The previous year was filled with many activities; ups and downs from end of Covid 19 to elections. There were many events but this year the Lord says it is a year of harvest. This year is going to be a year of harvest throughout and in order to have the Harvest we need to have sworn seeds and done weeding to the seeds.

It is a year of harvesting. On all that we had planted; we should focus and live in our destinies. This always starts in our minds. If we do not visualize what we want to be or where we want to go, then it’s tough to get to visualize and actualize our God given dreams.

God wants to fulfill His purpose in our lives in all aspects of our lives from spiritually, financially to physiologically. All this entail preparation from our minds. Setting our capacities to manage what God will reveal and has in store for us. In order to achieve this, we need to continue working diligently. We should not sleep in harvest season and not to eat until we forget the harvesting work.

After we have harvested, we have to protect the harvest. Normally harvests attract enemies. If we do not protect preserve or manage the harvest, we will loose it; remember the story of the prodigal son. Anything that we do not manage, we loose and a major way to protect our harvest is through prayer and seeking the face of God for direction.

When we get ourselves in a season of harvest, let us not forget our God and He will bless us to be channels of blessings to others.

Let us go out there and harvest. The harvest is yours.

LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED.

Scripture:
John 14:1, Proverbs 4: 23, 27: 19, 1st Peter 5:6, Isaiah 46, 2nd Corinthians 4:17, 1st Peter 5:9-10, 1st Corinthians 10:13

Challenge after challenge, trouble after trouble. Does it make life sweet or a tough roller coaster? It is up to you on how you perceive it. Who do you believe; yourself or God? A Recurring question in human’s mind for ages in every situation but God our Father says we should not be troubled with what is going around us. We are living in the last days and there is going to be lots of trouble but the one who believes in God shall be saved. Most of the people have lost hope because they trust in their own might or their limited minds.

Guard your heart with all diligence. God looks at the heart of a person, the enemy knows that, and that is why He always targets the heart. Have you ever imagined what the word “Heart” means in the bible’s context? Seek its meaning and you shall find.

Our hearts reveal who we are. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The heart is always controlled by what gets into it and there several consumption ways via the ears, eyes to the heart of any man/woman.

If we feed out hearts with negative things, that is what will be perceived in our hearts. We need to be careful and not to allow any negative aspects to our hearts.

Always believe in God and He will change our minds, heal our hearts, and let us learn to surrender our issues to Christ.

Jesus is ready to give us rest. We just have to cast our cares unto Him.
1. We don’t need to carry all our cares and burdens
2. God is always in control and our future is not determined by what is happening today and what is surrounding us. God already knew the end from the beginning and so it is up to us to know what God intent is or purpose for our lives and strive after that.
3. Seasons are not permanent. You may go through a tough time but bear in mind that nothing is permanent. Every tough experience is a learning experience.
4. What you are going through is not new. Someone else has or is going through it and there is not a temptation or challenge that you cannot overcome through Jesus Christ.

There is a bright future for our generation. Those who trust in God shall never be shaken by storms; we are anchored on a rock that does not shake whenever storms come. God already knows the end before the beginning and therefore let not your heart be troubled.

Happy Holidays.
