As a Servant called in the Kingdom of God and serving the King's mandate in a world that is full of bitterness and spite, never run away from criticism and scrutiny of your calling.
Many will criticize you and even call you names even those from your own household, even the people whom you thought were meant to support you, just like John the Baptist reached a point and doubted the messianic report of Jesus whom He personally introduced as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
When the disciples were persecuted and flogged publicly, they didn't runaway from the scrutiny, they always faced it with boldness, and one time they were before the Sanhedrin and they didn't defend themselves, rather a learned man by the name Prof Gamaliel stood in Acts 5:35 and boldly said the following:
(“Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”
Acts 5:35-39 NKJV)
Always understand that if your calling is from God, it has to go through testing, and I can assure you it will stand the test of time.
Shalom.
