TODAY’S DEVOTION (TUESDAY 10th DECEMBER 2024)

“For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11. TLB

WELCOME TO THE 345TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

Yesterday, the LORD spoke to us about having good relationships and discerning the duration a relationship was designed by Him to remain in our lives.

The highest point was knowing the relationships that should last a life time, and adjusting our behaviour to make it last. The LORD drew our attention to Ruth, who discovered that her relationship with Naomi should be a lifetime relationship and pressed into it.

It is important to understand that any relationship God sends our ways will not be sweet all the time due to our humanity and the dynamics of life.

There will be periods when it will be bitter. But that does not mean it is no longer the will of God.

When it becomes bitter, that is when we need to stand on its prophetic purpose and use the same to war against whatever is against it. That is when to stand in God’s plan for that relationship to neutralize the works of the evil one.

Today, we will be refreshing our minds with a few life-giving truths on following God’s plan in life. There are three basic plans that are influencing humanity on our planet Earth today; the plans of God, the plans of man, and the plans of the evil one (the devil).

The plans you have in life fall into either of them. Yes, they do! You are either living your life according to God’s plan, the devil’s plan, or your own plans. The Bible sometimes calls plans, “the counsel of the people,” if it is man’s plans, or “divine counsels,” if it is God’s plan, or “the counsel of the wicked,” if it is the plan of the evil one.

The word of the LORD says “the counsel of God shall stand.”

Meaning any other plan may manifest but will never stand the test of time. Only that of God wil

TODAY’S DEVOTION (MONDAY 9th DECEMBER 2024)

And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him." Genesis 2:18 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 344TH DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

Yes, it is not good to be alone without God. Thank God He has been with us all the year. We have indeed not been alone. He has been our constant companion. That is why we are alive.

His kindness has kept us, His power is perfecting us every day, His grace is guiding us and His mercy molding us into what he wants us to be. His glory on the other hand is making sure we are not put to shame. He has been all over us, with His beauty, love and compassion.

Today we will be refreshing our minds on matters of relationship.

One of the blessings you will need in the coming year is the blessing of people, good people the LORD would have to touch and place in your life. People who will serve as His ministers to the different areas of your life that will need help in the coming year.

You see, faith and Obedience are the currencies of the Spirit. In other words, if you want to get anything from God, you will need to walk in faith and obedience. If you want to operate powerfully in the Holy Spirit, you will need to walk by faith, and live a life of submission and obedience to God’s will, ways and word.

But relationship is the currency of the earth. It is the bridge upon which all things flow from God to us. That is why everyone who was blessed in the Bible, had God given people doing one thing or the other in their lives.

After having a good pastor over your life as a child of God, the next most important thing to have in the coming year is people – people God has touched to touch your life and bring to pass the manifestation of His perfect will for your life.

ONE OF THE GREATEST BLESSINGS YOU CAN HAVE ON EARTH IS NOT ALWAYS MONEY BUT MEN; NOT PROVISION BUT PEOPLE.

For instance, a good family is better than a good plot of land, a certificate, some money, and etc. because none of that can do what a good family can do in your life. That was why God said, it is not good for man to be alone, that is to be without a family, despite the richness of the Garden of Eden.

God had to create a family for Him despite him having a beautiful Garden to make His life blissful on earth. God never designed a man to be alone. He never designed a man to be without a family.

When we say family, we are using that word in a broad sense. It is not limited to blood relatives. Your family is not always those you are related to by blood. The word family means a group of people related by birth, marriage, adoption, or any common good. That common good could be God, because God is good.

So, we can be family because we all believe in Christ, walk in His ways and do His blessed will. We can be family because God created man to need a family to live out His will. He created us to need family to become all He called or designed us to be.

People who say they do not need people are missing it. Yes, you may not need bad people, but you need people in your life. You need people who will function as blessed and eventful personalities in your life, to become a person – the person God wants you to be. I have said that repeatedly.

You need people Heaven designed from the foundation of the world, to be part of your life on earth, in other to become a person Heaven designed you to be from the foundation of the world.

Abraham needed his three friends to be what God called him to be. You will need people to become that person God has created you to be. David needed Jonathan during His moment of trial with King Saul, Elijah needed Elisha to prolong His legacy, while Elisha needed Elijah to become a legacy prophet.

Paul needed Timothy and Titus, and some other people who travelled with him as ministry companions.

The entire early Church needed Paul to be established in the doctrine of Christ. So, do not say you do not need people. You need people to be healed, you need people to be born again and stay born again, you need people to be prosperous on earth, you need people to be protected and to be all the good God desires you to be.

YES, YOU NEED PEOPLE, AND YOU WILL NEED PEOPLE IN 2025.

Pray the LORD to bless you with those special people, if you do not have them already. Some will be needed for a short time, maybe just for few weeks, months or years. But there are those who you will need for a life time. You must discern the difference and learn to stick to people for the duration the LORD brought them to be in your life.

That was what Ruth knew. Which was why she never let go, despite the adversity that had happened to her in her marriage. She knew she did not need Naomi for a month, year, or years. She knew she never needed her for a long time. She knew she needed her for a life time.

She also knew that you do not walk away from someone you need for a life time even if they give you reason to walk away. She knew if you do, your life will lose alignment, sometimes eternally. She definitely knew the cost of letting someone you need for a life time go away, hence determined not to let Naomi go away without her.

The Bible says;

“But Naomi said, “Turn back, my daughters; why will you go with me? Are there still sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Turn back, my daughters, go—for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say I have hope, if I should have a husband tonight and should also bear sons, would you wait for them till they were grown?

Would you restrain yourselves from having husbands? No, my daughters; for it grieves me very much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD has gone out against me!”

Then they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her. And she said, “Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law.”

But Ruth said: “Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried.

The LORD do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me.”

When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped speaking to her. Ruth 1:11-18 NKJV

THE WOMAN WAS DETERMINED BECAUSE SHE KNEW NAOMI WAS A LIFE TIME AND NOT A LONG OR SHORT TIME RELATIONSHIP.

You must learn to discern the duration of any God given relationship, and allow it to serve its purpose for your life during the time. Doing so will bless you significantly. It will give your life the flavor its needs to become beautiful, prosperous, and all God designed it to be.

Ruth would later become part of the maternal roots of Christ because of her decision to stick to who she realized she needed for a life time. You must stick to a God given person, church, or system you need for a life time to become what God wants you to be for a life time. That is the message.

Ruth’s words and actions provides a guide on how we are to treat people we need for a life time, and how to be determined to stick to them. I reiterate again that you do not walk away from the life of someone you need for a life time, no matter the adversity.

Check out those who have left spouses they never knew they needed for a life time, jobs they never knew the needed for a life time, churches they never knew they needed for a life time, pastors they never knew the needed for a life time, spiritual authorities they never knew they needed for a life time, business contacts they never knew they needed for a life time, and etc. You will discover that they are not fine at all.

For many, its death and destruction. For others, it’s a life of perils and dissatisfaction. For most others its worse. All that they try to do does not really give them stability, peace or good success in life. They are disorganized and always in company with the wrong people.

Which reminds me of Lot. He never knew he needed Abraham for a life time.

Sadly, he allowed his prosperity to create the strife that separated him from Abraham. He would later find himself with the wrong people; he would later find himself living in S***m, and eventually on the mountains alone with his two daughters who he even impregnated without knowing.

He ended up as an old man full of misery.

The life of Lot is a lesson that if you walk away from people you need for a life time, you will not live your days in total peace. You might end up with people and perils that will wipe away your God given glory. So, do not depart from those you need for a life time. Be humble enough to let them know you need them for a life time and behave yourself properly. That is the message.

TODAY’S DEVOTION (SUNDAY 8th DECEMBER 2024)

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.

Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Matthew 7:13-20 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 343RD DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

For 343 days we have been receiving word from the LORD on this platform. The Bible says man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD.

Our eternal destinies depend on the teachings and instructions we are exposed to daily. If we are exposed to good teachings called the doctrine of Christ, we will end well. But if we are exposed to the wrong ones, we will not end well.

The Bible teaches that there are two eternal destinations that awaits every one after this life. It is either hell or heaven. The type of teachings or instructions that shape our lives will determine which destination become ours. There are teachings that denies the existence of hell, leading to misconceptions with eternal consequences.

If you will make Heaven after the fulfillment of your days, you must not listen to such things that deny the existence of hell. The doctrine of Christ should be the only doctrine you submit your heart to.

The doctrine of Christ will warn you of the two eternal destinations, and prepare you for the one that God has prepared for His sons - Heaven.

Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. His mission was to depopulate hell and populate Heaven. That remains His mission today. If He lives in you, that will also be your mission. The Bible teaches that the everlasting fire was prepared by God for the devil and his angels not for mankind.

MANKIND WILL ONLY FIND HIMSELF THERE FOR HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH SIN, SATAN AND HIS ANGELS.

The gospel presents an opportunity for man to terminate relationship with sin and Satan, and embrace relationship with the Righteous one, Jesus Christ. That is what will save mankind from Hell fire. Yes, from the place of everlasting punishment - a place no soul should go after death.

If your vision, mission and actions on earth are not directed towards your soul making Heaven when you die, you are an eternal disaster waiting to happen.

It is important that we all treat the subject of “Making Heaven and escaping hell,” our ultimate in life. The Bible says our lives are like vapors, that appears and vanishes after a short period of time.

Those whose mission on earth is to go to Heaven when they die, live differently. They do not sit under scandalous preachers or peddlers of wrong doctrines. They do not call sin a weakness. They do not call co habitation marriage. They do not tolerate polygamy in any way.

They keep themselves pure by purifying themselves from defilement on daily bases. They spend their earthly days looking for that city, which has foundation, whose maker and builder is GOD.

However, due to the lack of sound doctrine in so many local churches, we have believers who fall below these Heaven making standards of God, and are not bothered about it. They are lied to by their pastors.

They have been made to believe that even if they live in any sin, so long as they pay their tithes, feed the hungry, visit the prisoners, clothed the naked, and etc. it will be fine with them eternally. But that is a doctrine of men, one of the broad-ways doctrines.

The Bible warned us against yielding our hearts to the doctrine of men, because they make the word of GOD of no effect in the lives of the seekers of God. They put people in the broad way that leads to eternal damnation by the way they live, and take those who have already crossed or escaped, away from the narrow way that leads to life, and return them to the broad way that leads to eternal death.

WHICH BRINGS US TO OUR DEVOTIONAL TEXT.

The text said;

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

This scripture shed a very great light on who false prophets are before God, especially by fruits. It says they are ministers who put human lives in the broad way that leads to eternal death. That is why the people who fall victim of most of them are people who are not passionate for Heaven.

They are passionate for the prophet and etc., using the name of the LORD, but not for Christ or Heaven. I want to reiterate again that if making Heaven is not your goal for living, you have just missed the goal for living.

Satan has placed in the Broadway that leads to death, people others see as role models, heroes and heroines, mega or minor dark churches, human systems, cultures, traditions, and influences to take men and women to hell.

On the flip side, God has planted in the Narrow way that leads to life, people others see as role models, heroes, heroines, Godly systems, churches operating as pillars and grounds of truth, Godly cultures, traditions, and influences, to lead men to Heaven.

IT IS LIKE SETTING THE WAY OF LIFE AND DEATH BEFORE US, AND THE SPIRIT IS SAYING, “CHOOSE LIFE THAT YOU MIGHT LIVE.”

Our LORD and savior Jesus Christ is urging us to enter by the narrow gate, where God has planted people, righteous role models, heroes, heroines, Godly systems, ground and pillar of truth churches, righteous cultures, traditions, and Holy Ghost influences to help us.

Wisdom demands we do not spend our earthly days away from them.

Now, there is also one major thing that the enemy placed on the Broadway to influence us to miss Heaven. The Bible teaches that the false prophets and preachers we see and hear are that very thing. You find some selling water, oil and etc. You find them promising people liberty, but they themselves are servants of corruption and moral decay.

People in God’s garment who cannot put Christ in others; just giving them an assurance of a salvation that they do not even have.

The connection between the subject of “the-Broadway-Narrow-way,” and the ministry of false prophets in this scripture, should tell us that Satan has false prophets in church with capacity to get hearts planted in the Broadway that leads to eternal death. On the flip side, GOD has prophets and ministers of His, planted in the Church global, to bring us to the narrow way that leads to life.

It is important to note that there are broad way doctrines, and there is the narrow way doctrine. The doctrine of Christ is a narrow way doctrine, but every other doctrine falls into the category of broad way doctrines. That is why one must be careful of the doctrine of any church they belong to.

The Bible says by the fruit of the doctrine on our lives, we can tell if they are doctrines of Christ or not. Doctrines of Christ will form Christ in us, but other doctrines will form the antichrist in us. That is why the issue of doctrine is key.

I have read a few books on the ministry of many preachers who were here before us. I found out that those who derailed in doctrine where allowed by God to be taken quickly from the earth, but those who were found in other forms of sins lived longer. There are two who are still alive today but those who derailed in doctrines in their times are long dead.

While some who departed from the life of righteousness but did not derail in doctrine died and went to hell, those who repented died and went to heaven. I discovered that GOD would always send strong warnings to those who spread falsehood before they are taken out.

To most of them, He went personally, He did not send anyone to them; and they stated it down in their write ups.

As we bring this to a close, I want to reiterate again that, there are broad way doctrines and there is the narrow way doctrine. Jesus said many are found in the broad way and few find the narrow way.

Yes, many follow broad way doctrines because they accommodate their sinful lives, iniquities, trespasses and spiritual recklessness.

They place no demand on them for right living. A lot of them focuses on their earthly needs, promises them death to their enemies, and show them how to satisfy their carnal desires. But if Heaven is your goal, then the narrow way doctrine of Christ must become your focus.

“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

TODAY’S DEVOTION (SATURDAY 7th DECEMBER 2024)

“Behold, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who by night stand in the house of the Lord!
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. The Lord who made heaven and earth bless you from Zion!” Psalms 134:1-3 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 342ND DAY OF OUR YEAR OF IMPACT.

The whole of this devotional text you just read is an entire psalm. Psalm 134 is the shortest Chapter of the Bible. This chapter has just three verses. It is short but has very strong truths with long lasting effects!

I remember years ago when we use to sing that Psalm in a Song; especially when we assemble in what we call tarry nights, to seek the LORD. It used to be very glorious! When we get to the line that says “lift up your hands” you see hands lifted up in total surrender to the King, and you see His presence hitting us in response.

The lifting up of hands in the spirit (not in the flesh) by those who serve the LORD in times like that is considered an offering of evening sacrifice by the LORD. That is why we usually see Heaven pour out a fire from His presence upon us in reply.

Even in Church here in Kenya, whenever we enter the impartation session, hands are lifted up to the LORD, because He considers it as an offering. The divine response is usually the release of power.

Many people do not know why we have to lift up our hands to receive from the LORD. As those hands are lifted, He receives it as an offering, and sends His power to heal or deliver us in response.

The principle is, each time acts of worship are acceptable to GOD, you see an outpouring of the fire of His Holiness upon the people. That is how we grow up and walk in victory over sin, Satan and the evil and corrupt system of this world.

This year has been a year of impact even on this platform. We have learnt a lot, and encountered dimensions of grace and truths that we know would have been impossible without God’s mercy speaking for us!

When you read through the devotionals with a hungry heart, you find timeless truths. You discover that they hold timeless principles of the kingdom that need to be applied to our daily lives. Change does not come when we read, but when we pally what we read.

For instance, if our marriages are dying and we sit under the most beautiful marriage seminar God has in store for us, our marriages will not be restored because we attended the meeting.

THERE IS NO MUCH BLESSING IN ATTENDING A CHURCH MEETING OTHER THAN EXPERIENCING THE WARMTH OF FELLOWSHIP.

Our marriages will be restored because we attended the meeting, took note of our mistakes, and made decisions to apply what was taught in the seminar in other to bring a change. Life does not change because you attend a good seminar or Church, life changes because you apply the things taught in the good church or seminar that you attend.

It is application of the principles that restore a marriage that brings it back to order not hearing or reading of the principles. The import of this is commitment. Yes, commitment.

Let’s look at the subject of commitment. It is important to note that, in the Kingdom of God, nothing stands without commitment.

Truths are taught so we can commit to them. Relationships are given so we can commit to them. God presents Himself to us so we can commit to Him. It is commitment that brings the turn around.
Commitment to a righteous course will change your life.

The life of Ruth comes to mind. She was one young woman who use commitment to move from where she was, to the center of God’s redemptive move, and finally became part of the messianic lineage. When she started the journey, she had the chance and reason not to commit, but the Bibles says;

“But Ruth said: "Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.

Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me." Ruth 1:16-17 NKJV

Bible history has it that it took a long time for the book of Esther to be canonized into the scriptures; and you will agree with me that if that book was not made part of the Bible, so many would not have stepped into their destiny through it.

The same can be said about the story of Ruth. If it was not written, many of us would have not known the true meaning of commitment. Not even the pain of loosing her husband could stop her. In other words, death could not weaken her commitment. That was why she qualified.

SOMETIMES, WE ARE THE ONES TO QUALIFY OURSELVES FOR BLESSINGS.

When you look at the word commitment, you will realize that many people no longer commit these days. They just hang on. That is why as soon as what they do not want happens, they are out.

Pastors no longer commit themselves to their members or Churches. Members no longer commit themselves to their pastors or Churches. We make quick promises with our mouths but deny we ever made them with our lives, making it difficult for even the loving God to commit blessings and other sacred things to us.

In the kingdom, if you do not commit you are not entitled to anything. There are things heaven will never SUBMIT to us until we COMMIT or become committed.

As a marriage minister, I have come to discover that one factor that is keeping many single, or making those who got married not to stay married, is lack of commitment. A man of God once said, “People no longer get married these days.” and I concur with him, because marriage without commitment is a mirage.

I believe strongly that people no longer get married; they only march to the altar or look at themselves and exchange empty vows – vows they will never keep – then go to live together without committing to themselves (and maybe bear Children) and then tear themselves apart afterwards.

One of the greatest plagues that is upon us today as humans is lack of commitment to what is right in God’s eyes. Obviously, it is not helping us! It is hurting us very badly ad we are not ready to repent.

For instance, lack of commitment is the reason we have Children without parents. It is the reason for broken homes and broken hearts. A young man will impregnate a young woman and not commit himself to her, resulting in what the society calls “a fatherless Child.” But the truth is, there is no fatherless child, we only have children with non-committed fathers.

SADLY, WE DO NOT KNOW THAT COMMITMENT IS WHAT SHOULD QUALIFY A MAN TO PUT HIS SEED IN A WOMAN.

On the flip side, commitment is what should qualify a woman to open her legs to a man, not the satisfaction of sexual desire. But we all do what God created to be done between two committed people, within a marriage covenant, just to satisfy our carnal desires.

If Ladies stop men who will not commit to them take them to bed or march them to the altar, and if men stop women who will not commit to them from seducing them to the bed, or to the marriage altar, it will reduce a lot of pain on the face of the earth.

So many children are owned by parents who are not committed to them, leading to a lot of crises in their lives. Anyone who lacks commitment should never go into a relationship.

I submit that if Pastors stop joining people who will not commit to their marriages in marriage, it will save unborn children from the perils of life. Commitment is the glue that keeps any relationship together, especially when things goes sour.

Yes, genuine commitment to a course is not known when things are rosy and great. It is only known when things become ugly.

We are all guilty of lack of commitment in one way or the other. We forget that commitment is the force that pulls things from heaven to earth. It is the very salt of Christianity. Christianity without commitment (to the will and ways of the LORD) is deception.

God will always bless the committed and judge those who are not committed.

Our devotional text revealed how committed Ruth was, and the Bible made it clear that she became one of the maternal roots of David. It is through the commitment of those God has called and appointed that Heaven commit things to the earth. Vision without commitment will never be fulfilled.

Commitment is an unknown preservative of destiny.

Marriage without commitment will never be blissful. Prayer without commitment to God will never get answers from Heaven. If you remove commitment from anything in Christ, it will die without any attack from the devil. That is how things that are even God’s will die in the hands of many.

This morning God is calling on us to commit ourselves because He wants to submit things to us. Yes, we have to enter the coming year with fresh levels of commitment to the LORD, to our wives, to our husbands, to our children, to our pastors, to our members, to our staffs, to our bosses, and etc.

If you are looking for a word from God for your life today, and for the years to come; a word to guide you for the rest of your life. You have juts found one.

THAT WORD IS; “COMMITMENT! “COMMITMENT! COMMITMENT!”

It will keep you through and through. It will turn your life around for good, and make your Christian life beautiful. Without it, you might remain stagnant in life and never be able to succeed in anything. Commitment to a right course is one way we break from stagnancy and move forward in Life.

Commitment is what separates men from boys and women from girls.

It is commitment that separates the responsible from the irresponsible. If you will commit to that thing that God has given you; that marriage, that business, that Church, that vision in your heart, or that job, no matter the cost, you will stumble into blessings that will amaze you. God will begin to submit grace dimensions, prosperity, access to the high places of the earth, and never withhold any good thing form you.

If you will commit to that pregnancy, that child you gave birth to, that career you are pursuing, God will commit uncommon blessings to you. God does not commit heavenly things to the prayerful, God commit heavenly things to the committed who live their days from the prayer knee.
